K was a real light to the world.
I did years in solitary confinement in Pelican Bay. I almost lost my mind like a lot of other people did. I tried religions I tried everything and this was one of the teachers that helped me. The only thing that helped me in that situation was to realize I was driving myself crazy, that I was not aware of my thoughts especially the involuntary thought stream. With mindfulness, with correct meditation I experienced things that cannot be put into words; and they were the greatest things I could have ever experienced. This man's book Freedom From the Known is what tremendously influenced me and helped me in that terrible situation.

I personally believe the Holy Spirit is and will help me to strengthen my focus inwardly and abide by the truth that sets me free.
Once I'm one with my Creator/Consciousness, I needn't the prayer, just practice tapping in.

@@837haja aCtuAalLy i believe that could be what Krishnamurti was referencing to in the original clip. That which you are praying to is the substance from which the thought of the prayer is stemming from i.e. god
He is not saying that you are God he is saying there is no God you are praying to. Though i think prayer can be beneficial to one’s life he’s speaking of a truth which if you are open to seeing it you can and it can be quite sad having to face a truth of that magnitude

You have quoted the Buddha so you've already left your own path. Be a light to yourself means totally relying on your own insights without any guru or authority. Thats a whole different dimension of living because you're totally on your own. In the past when I quoted K,Buddha Confucius and others people didn't resonate with what I said because at some level they knew it wasn't coming from the heart of my understanding. So I left that whole gang of Philosophers and enlightened ones and stepped down to my level. People then would listen. They just knew somehow it was my shit and not someone else's.

10 years old this fact hit me like a ton of bricks when I realized no matter how much you want something to change or be different doesn't matter at all
I agree, however we can comfort one another, stand beside one another in our darkest nights. That will help us. So many times the fact that I could speak out to a close friend, their way of looking at things. helped me tremendously to be able to find my own power.
There is no 'other'. That friend, is a creation of your own thought, same as the one to whom you may pray.

No amount of spiritual Praxis can bring you peace if you have stored trauma in your nervous system. You practically release it talking and connecting to a safe and loving other fellow human being. There are people „out there“ please don’t become delusional or get I to spiritual psychosis/dissociation.

But plenty of people help people all the time! It’s literally what we’re all here to do is to help each other! And of course help ourselves, but there’s nothing wrong with reaching out for help sometimes. There’s a lot of people in the world that would be so happy to help! 💛
Help/Comfort from others is temporary but to completely uproot the cause of suffering you, by yourself need to practice self inquiry so that you may discover what YOU are and what beliefs you yourself have that cause you to suffer.
It may be that we don't know what is help and what brings disorder. What is right action? Is it when we deem our action helpful before it is applied? There is no help from another in this respect...from the inward aspect. Help may exist outwardly but can one give anyone anything inwardly? We must find it and nobody in the history of mankind or in the future of mankind can help you (or in the heavens). Then what comes next? Find out!
You misunderstand his message. His message is : 'When you are a light to yourself you are a light to the world'. Or, read that another way as, When you are a light to yourself you are a light to others.

When you know that all there is is you then who or what is there to fear other than yourself? If there’s no peace found within the awareness of absolute solitude then that awareness isn’t really absolute.

Wow.... so true. When I had horrible anxiety, stress. I turned to everyone and gotten confused. That just spread to my decisions, and nothing but mistakes followed. It completely ruined my life. My brain had too much, and I had a mental breakdown and finally collapsed. I haven't been able to recover. I lost everything, including my career job. I suffer throughout each day with severe depression 😢
Reach out to someone. Find a support group. We are not all here together to suffer alone. Otherwise theres no truth to Compassion . Be brave enough to ask for help .
How are you now? Mental health is curable. Acceptance and forgiveness and spiritual guidance and awakening help. Practice self love, eat right, and exercise and follow a good sleep routine. Keep good friends. Don’t be a victim be a Victor. Be part of the solution. Take care and cannot wait for you to heal. 😊
Try to take it all as a lesson and appreciate the wisdom gained. Start fresh. Get a job at a not so busy gas station, etc. Try to shake the societal pressures that have been programmed into us. Don't worry about being judged. Who gives a shit, right?! Do what makes YOU happy. Be as carefree as possible. Live and let live! Whatever works!

Great words to live by. Prayer may make you feel better, but the only thing that saves one is themselves, no supernatural power or divine intervention.
One can not say that or think of it without the language which makes all these meanings possible. It’s like being thirsty surrounded with water. Or even to speak - one doesn’t appreciate his own breath provided by the life force. One doesn’t have to ask for help, or love - it’s always right here. The very fact of one’s existance is the obvious proof.

Thats a fact! And i really wish humans realise this ASAP and help each other keeping away from suffering. The compassion for each other is the need of time.
