      If I was forced to give up all my ebikes and just pick one, this would be the ebike I would choose. I didn't get to keep it after doing the review, but of all the ebikes I've tested and ridden, the Limited Volt is STILL my favorite above all due to the smooth acceleration and extra fast top speed with throttle only. Josh at Amp Rides really knows how to assemble the right parts for a killer ebike. Also, for a 1500 watt ebike, the price was very good. I highly recommend that you give Josh a call when placing your order to really dial in the bike that you want put together.

    Very impressive stats. I have a few E bikes but this one really appears that it’s got just about everything you need on an E bike. The Geering is super super impressive and is one of the outstanding features. I’m going to look into this bad boy.

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The gearing is crazy awesome. I could still ‘push’ the bike at 31/32mph without feeling like I was going to wobble myself off the bike. Definitely one of the best features. I can keep it in the highest gear and help the bike with my own casual energy and help the battery last longer (not like I need to do so with such a huge battery).

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This ebike is well worth the wait. It has a ton more power on the top speed, super smooth and responsive acceleration, overall much more comfortable ride, and way more range per charge. It’s a premium ebike, but amp rides has done a great job keeping it affordable for everything you get. Of all the 20”x4” fat tire ebikes I’ve tested, this performance can’t beat. Keep in mind it has a really powerful 1500watt motor that runs much cooler at higher speeds as the motor can theoretically output 3x what the Lectric XP does. Seating is much more comfortable too as I didn’t feel like I was reaching as much and sat more upright. I think this is the ebike that you won’t have to worry about wanting to upgrade once you get it since it is all around top notch and really fast.

    Most e bike makers are going with bigger batteries, or at least they make it optional,then comes Lectric with a smaller, weaker one on the new model, makes zero sense to me.

    • @ampridesusa
      @ampridesusa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Batteries went up 30 to 32% wholesale in April plus 25% tariff on that so it may have been a price point decision. Add front shock, reduce battery 10%, reduce tire and wheel size 25% to lower wholesale cost and raise $100 total to $999.

    • @cleganite
      @cleganite 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll have my 2.0 in a few days, and I also have mltiple 1.0's so I'll know shortly if it gets less miles per charge then the 1.0's larger battery.
      The smaller 3" tires/rims may help eat up less juice because they should be lighter, taking less power to rotate, also because of a smaller foot print should have less rolling resistance, so mileage difference may be roughly the same as before.
      Having said that, I too wish they could have gone the other way to a larger battery, but they are trying to maintain a bang for the buck image, so was probably a budget consideration.
      It is now a Samsung Battery, so may be better quality then the last ones too.

    • @ampridesusa
      @ampridesusa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ideally, you will want to stop using your eBike before it drops below 30%, while you will also want to avoid recharging past 80 to 85%. 9.6 or 10.4ah batteries in full size bikes make it tricky to do this since they are essentially wanting you to use only 4 to 5ah of the battery between 80% and 30%. Fully charging and fully draining is going to significantly reduce the health and life cycles of a battery. Where a well treated battery may last 2 to 3 years an overused battery will start to deteriorate a couple hundred cycles sooner or approximately 6-12 months after your one year warranty expires. www.bestelectricbikes.com/how-to-extend-the-life-of-your-ebike-battery/

    Is there going to be a 2022’ 2000watt rear motor coming in January? If there is I am all in as I just like seeing that even number across the board.🙂
    This was a great interview guys. I definitely want this bike, but again only if there is a bump of 500watts to make it an even 2,000 watt rear motor. The extra security doesn’t hurt anyone. It’s an absolute beautiful bike, and something anyone even those opposed to a step through can tip their hat to this beauty. I see it as the Vespa of e-bikes. I want one, but we know my particular wants/needs. 2,000 watt rear hub motor that provides 100nm of torque. I know Josh can make it happen. It will be the Volt+, Volt 2, for the wattage.

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol. This time you are correct. Technically the ebike can’t be a class 3 and must be considered off-road with a motor over 750watt or a throttle that takes you over 20mph.
      The bike ships with the settings all limiting it to be under the class 3 rules, and the motor is purposely labeled at 750, but it’s really a lot more of everything and will almost fly if you unlock it to its full potential.

    Why do you keep saying 1500 Watts when the 25a controller limits the output to only a peak of 1200 Watts? Even with the 52v battery option, if the controller is 25a that would be a Max peak output of 1300 Watts.

      Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and correct me. I’m embarrassed I didn’t catch that and stated the incorrect info so often! Well, I can say that the motor did run very cool even when pushing it probably because it wasn’t straining. It’s still an incredible ebike and one of my all time favorites. It is about 34" with nonsuspension post, it depends on your inseam, body style. We try to overstate height so we do not misrepresent anything. Our Base models are lower frames due to not needing the extra motor mount reinforcement for this high torque motor. Possibly next year's model we can rework the down tube for the seat post and get some drop there. With Covid it is not easy to get factories to work over little wish list items because they are buried right now. I think Chris, who reviewed it here, is 5'5" and used the suspension post, it also comes with nonsuspension post to reduce height.

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am 5’5” and rode with the suspension seat post which gave me perfect full leg extension riding at the lowest position. I have a 29 inch inseam and the other seat post that comes with the bike will bring the seat down even lower. The Limited’s seat to handlebar distance is closer than my Lectric XP and this makes the Limited much more comfortable since I could sit more upright. If you’re 5’5”, it should work well for you, especially if you’re a little more experienced and like full leg extension when riding. If you want to be able to touch the ground while seated, then you’ll need to use the non-suspension post and should be able to touch the ground, just not flat footed.

      @@snan9735 we just sold the last carbon fiber finish gold/white combo. You can jump on August order that would be 4 months manufacturing and at least 2 months export import. Battery size is one size 17.4ah Samsung 35e 48v. On a side note I've got a cf black wheels/black tires and a cement gray (almost white see limited volt ST 90nm on our website for color) black wheels/tires. Vee zigzag zag whitewalls are +50 as is cf hydrostatic dip finish +50 vs black tires and other regular paint process colors. These are to port and expected august/September. We were also told most of this batch were upgraded to tektro auruga e500 with sensor control vs our usual e350 hyd tektros as they ran out and gave free upgrades. If so, that is a +125 freebie on these bikes. Also, we have one spare 17.4 Battery left on that batch unspoken for if anyone ends up needing it. Shipping with bike 450 separately it has to be hazmat certified and special packaging so +145, +35 and FedEx usually 35 or so depending on where it's going.

    You know. You know. You know. You know. You know. You know. You know.
    Ridiculous when the representative from a company doesn't have any more words in their repertoire, you know?

      Sorry I am not as polished and smooth talking as some. While my ADHD is an asset for going over finite details on bikes it can make conversating and doing public speaking segments nerve wracking. I build bikes to the best of my ability at the lowest price possible and try not to pad the price by paying mouthpieces to spin it. Building bikes, treating people ethically and with respect usually does not require a high level of public speaking experience. If at some point my customers are willing to pay an extra $50 a bike to hear someone else describe the bikes I will certainly be willing to hire someone to provide the polished presentation you are describing. This is the best I can do while charging the prices that I charge. I have to do it all and wear many hats to keep the overhead lower and respect people's hard earned money at this point. Our competitors have raised their prices $300-400 this year due to shipping and higher battery costs and I have not changed mine.

    Well it didn't take long for $1900 to = value for an eBike. The Lectric guys must be smiling all the way to the bank. Its about volume ...not selling a few expensive (oops, I mean "value") bikes. I doubt this company survives.

      Lectric bikes are an amazing value for the price. You just cannot beat their value for a beginner ebike. We respect their place in the market, our bike is more for people who need more than 9.6ah batteries, want 35 mph speed, power for hills, turn indicators and big hydraulic brakes. Small businesses do not try to compete with Walmart, they try to offer what Walmart cannot so the consumer has options.

      I've bought a 1000 DS and a 750 ST From Amp Rides. Josh provides a great, high quality bike at a reasonable price - you can see and feel the difference, as I've had less quality bikes. THANK YOU Josh!!!

      I can totally see where $1900+ may not seem like a “value” to many who are looking for a just a decent running ebike. I personally think the limited is worth up to $309-$500 more for what you get. It’s so hard to really explain the value on video vs experiencing riding it. The power is incredible and the piece of mind that it’s a 1500 watt nominal and doesn’t get hot even at full throttle only for an hour is amazing. I LOVE my Lectirc and that’s an ebike with amazing value for anyone who wants a well made ebike, but this Limited Volt Ebike is a completely different class and super affordable when being compared to other higher end ebikes. The limited will outperform any 750watt rated ebike out there at much higher prices because it’s a 1500 watt ebike at the core. If supply chain issues get resolved and raw material prices can be kept in check, this could be a super high demand ebike when the word gets out. I’m really considering getting one with the 52v battery and I am a super frugal consumer. Others who get to test this ebike like me will undoubtedly thrive the power once they’ve tasted it and want to use it. $1900 - $2100 is a lot of money so it’s not a bike for everyone, but I still believe it’s one of the best values for a premium ebike out there and haven’t found anything with the specs that can compare.

      Yeah, definitely not something made to compare the a cheaper bike like Lecric. I've seen many reviews on the Lectric, and definitely a good buy for the person on a budget. And, and, actually, with inflation, tariffs, demand, etc... the $2,000 dollar price point is the new 'avererage' for a higher performance, or higher specs e-bike now. It's really all about preference. Are you willing to spend more for higher end, or are you willing to settle for less for the more standard that will still do the job? $999 is a good price and I see people enjoying their Lectric, but a motor that is bigger, and a battery that is bigger, that will provide FAR more range, not to mention, the gearing, the brakes, teeth, speed, etc.... I'd rather pay another thousand and have the better one. Like Bruce Jenner said, (pre-Kaitlyn, obviously) "They're ALL good, but only ONE, can be the best!" Yeah, I'd rather have the better one. No complaints here. Looking forward to my "amp rides limited!!!!" 😁

      Yeah, I had to laugh at, "I doubt this company survives!" They are catering to those who want more or something different, and at a reasonable price. Yeah, they are heading in the "wrong" direction... 😂😂😂
