There it is Great job! with the detailed. Vids like this really help it snot just the seals or covers there is always a lot of other things going on that people need help with and showing those Picts and discussing it fills in the blanks for guys wrenching on their own. Keep it up myman
Can you do a video where you see him pull all pulleys off i am actually in the process of doing all of this to mine amd im yputube certified i have no idea what im doing😂
I dont get the point in making a pickup fast, I want fuel economy out of my cummins because it's meant to work, may as well make it work as efficiently as possible.
I have +75 injectors stock turbo 6 speed manual fass fuel system hotrod chip 4 inch down pipe to 8 inch stack with a Bradford flatbed I get 20 to 25 highway empty and 15 to 18mpg with my 36ft gooseneck gooseneck
I really was enjoying this video until ya failed to properly repeat dude's perfectly simple yet explanatory 3-step "how it works" ... Now its gonna bug meeeeeee as i finish watching this video ~

Can you add a list of new parts used? I’m planning on doing this job myself.
Yeah, I'll comment the list of parts an old special tools needed
Here we go about to watch this fire video 🔥
My 2004 3500 sprung THE Leak lol 169,000 miles.. I wish yall's shop was local lol
I feel your pain!
@@LMDiesel Thanks It will be fun 🤕lol
Ok... the porta-power spread to get the cross member has my attention. What bolts were taken out to get the spread? Just the 2 front body mounts???
I believe so yeah.
Yeah. Worked like a charm. Kinda nervous about doing it, but it worked good. Thanks!
In your opinion, What should I expect to pay to have the timing gear cover gasket replaced. 2017 Ram 2500 diesel 6.7l cummins
I mean it's a huge job. As you can see lol. I'd think it would be $1500 pretty easy
@@LMDiesel dealer wants $2400.00, I'd be happy at 1500.00
@@johnfreitag4044 dealership always charges more. I'd find a local shop, with a good reputation
I pulled my motor to change that the oil Pan , cam cove front and rear seal and the tappit gasket, mine was a major oil leaker, so I did it myself
@@LMDiesel Damn I'd pay that with no hesitation. The 'reputable/best' shop around me wants ~$4500 to fix the inner timing seal on my '15 2500.

Have you ever had the Cam cover leak behind the actual cover against the block
Not on my truck. But I know leaks there can be common
Do i haft to pull the cam to do the gasket
So there are two gaskets. For The timing case cover gasket, you dont have to pull the cam. But for the timing case gasket, you do.
You don’t have to pull the cam for either, you pull the gear off the cam, then heat the gear and press it back on.
So do crank filter and timing cover at same time?
You don't have too, But Im sure it could help.
I wished you were more detailed and with better explanations. Thank you
Thanks for the feedback.

I get that. The awsome thing about the Cummins platform is that you can make it do both 😎

Probably only pushing 400 to 450 hp and I've gone all over hell and back with her but I'm an 02 vp44 second gen not a common rail
