- Need some help getting your guitar playing sounding fresh and interesting?
Here’s a little-known guitarist secret so you can instantly solo in any key!
📘 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁 ➜ www.guitarmast...
Pentatonic scales - They’re the go to for almost every guitar player when it comes to guitar solos.
And maybe you’ve also tried the CAGED system to solo too.
Sure CAGED is great to know - but what you want right now are the tools and knowledge to play your great sounding solos as quickly as possible right?
➥ Grab Your Lesson Reference Material: www.guitarmast...
So here’s where you might be going wrong when it comes to the pentatonic scale and playing guitar solos.
Rather than using fragments of the pentatonic scale to be creative and come up with cool sounding licks to add to your solos…
As many as 99% of my guitar students have become completely trapped by it. And as a result, all your creativity is being sucked from your guitar playing!
The pentatonic box is going to save your guitar solos and make it completely effortless to come up with cool licks and ideas in just seconds.
Instead of using the entire pentatonic scale which makes us feel like we constantly have to be moving around the frets and bouncing up and down strings…
The pentatonic box forces us to be creative using just a small chunk of the pentatonic scale.
Limiting the amount of notes on your guitar means you can now maximize your ideas and really squeeze everything you can out of every note.
Combine this with your free Fretboard Conveyor Belt cheat sheet, and you’ll now have some fresh lead licks and patterns you can instantly plug into your solos.
You’ll never be stuck playing boring guitar solos ever again.

Hey checkout my licks and leave me some feedback on my tracks 🙏🏻 thanks Dana E💫☮️
Sure wish TH-cam was around when I started playing, nice simple lesson.
bro i have been playing for years and of course i am here making sure i haven't overlooked some techniques, as we know every little bit helps when it comes to music. you had me hooked when you said "milk every note for what it is worth". any and every musician can learn from that statement.
Thats what made Prince great. Even making the air in between notes is a note within itself.
This!
@@HumbleAstronaut yes! The magic is in the choice, the emotion created, and the space between notes.
This guy is a fantastic instructor. Basic, uncomplicated and clear explanations in bite-sized chunks! Thanks.
He should consider to enter politic. He will be unstoppable.
He is brilliant, he and Charlie.
No he's an idiot
Not sure which was better, the lesson or Eddie’s guitar. Great stuff as usual, thanks Eddie/GMM!
Glad I understand the difference between major and minor has helped me a lot as a beginner
I started playing guitar at 15 yeaes old, but never got to far I gave up. But now you make it so easy that I am learning so fast and now I am 56 years old, and playing like a teen eger Thank so much.
Been playing for 15 years self taught , learnt more here in 5 mins than 5 years ,thanks man. That was explained awsome. New sub
Awesome, thank you!
I have been playing for years and its amazing how much I picked up from your videos. Thanks Eddie!
Maaan...you've explained it simpler and better than the others for me. You're actually the 10th one I've come across finding the easy way to learn the pentatonic box with the blues root notes. Subscribed.
This freebie is elusive!!
Your lessons are always so clear and easy to follow. I was a university prof for 30+ years and you have a good lesson outline.
Best guitar instructions I have seen yet on you tube, when you catch onto the scale its so simple to use and jam with, Many thanks mate.
Eddie is a wonderful instructor. I have been here for over 3 years, and I have been able to understand
more than I expected.
Thanks as always Eddie!❤
Appreciate the kind words!
Thanks for opening my eyes and ears to this great technique. Keep it coming.
Just started learning guitar. This is the first video of yours that I've watched. It's like your pouring knowledge into my head. You make it so practically understandable. Thank you for sharing.
Welcome aboard!
LIGHTBULB MOMENT! I have been practicing the pentatonic scales alot, but this put it together so well --- and simply. THANKS
Eddie THANK YOU! After 5 years of study, review & practice I had memorized the 5 positions of the Pentatonic scale! This lesson has (for me) turned on the light bulb on How to Use the Pentatonic scale to make music! Thank you for truly simplifying the explanation of the scale & demonstrating "how to find & use the scale" in both the major & minor forms 👍🏽👍🏼🥇🎸❗❗
I wish random bs makes no sense I'm more confused than when I knew nothing about guitar I wish there was someone that knew what they were talking about to learn from cous this guy is an idiot
AS usual, Eddies lessons are gold for us trying to understand how to navigate the fretboard. Thanks Eddie!
Took me a while to see the fretboard and its graphic representation are 180 degrees different.
Having said that, this is the simplest beginner lesson I've ever seen. My level precisely. I'll practice.
i have watched many videos on this topic and i have to say that this video was the most helpful of them all
I enjoy these lessons … most of the time they are easy .. explained perfectly. And are fun to mess with !! Thanks
Hey Eddie this is a perfect for those just entering this stage of the game . Endless possibilities from here . Man I am playing awsome riffs . Learning songs has become very easy . Applying what I've taken in from u guys has made mind blowing results
Hi. I'm an enthusiastic guitar player from Brazil and that class was awesome. Thank you for coming up with something helpful.
You're a really good teacher. Haven't seen lessons like this before. So many things I thought were complicated are digestible
Great lesson Eddie. The light is starting to come on for me. It's dim, but I'm starting to understand the fretboard more and it's making sense. Thank you for your patience and energetic delivery.
Ditto..awesome comment😁
Ditto!
Same here, I'm really struggling to wrap my head around these concepts of pentatonic scales. ✌️
Your absolutely right David, GMM crew are very good teachers, especially Eddie and Charlie. I'm getting there....slowly.
Amazing. I've been doing this quite a while. When faced with learning five different pentatonic shapes I decided there must be an easier way. When you follow this approach you can slide from one pentatonic box to the next and essentially get ANYWHERE on the neck you want to play. One shape for all positions, both major and minor. The boxes fit together like checkers on a checkerboard! Plus, once you are in a particular position you can expand and use the entire pentatonic scale at that position if the musicality needs it. I'm glad to see someone cover this for everyone.
Great, Ive been a pro guitarist for over 40yrs, but belive me I dont have the patience for neighbours kids to teach them...even that I graduared in Berklee-electric guitar...but you do it so easy, n thank u buddy, I told the kids, listen n follow this guy, dont need me!!!!tnx , breat work n method, warm greetings from Belgrade, Serbia
WOW!!!!!!!! THANK YOU, SO MUCH, EDDIE!!!! I NEVER REALIZED HOW EASILY ONE COULD JUMP UP OR DOWN, BETWEEN THE MAJOR & MINOR PENTATONIC SCALE PATTERNS!!!
love the genius in the simplicity of this lesson
Bro, Your video's have helped me tremendously improve my guitar playing. thank you and keep on rocking out!
Dude I’m gaining confidence each time I watch and rewatch. I been in a country / rock band for years for drums and bass. But lead has always felt daunting. But learning at a pace bit by bit. Thanks
Keep up the great work Seth, this is awesome to hear!
One of the best guitar lessons I've seen on youtube!
Glad you think so!
Absolutely a gem of a video ! Funny I applied this approach just a few days ago. Except I started on the 4th string (2nd octave) and played the high strings. All 5 shapes Major and Minor up and down the neck. Keeping my mind (trained) on that.
This vid focuses on the backside of the scales. Point is, it's cutting the big honking scales in half. Simplifying a smaller group of notes. This approach easily helps locate the roots. Mini shapes within the big shapes.
It's GOLDEN !!!
You did a fantastic job !
Eddie, It would help so much if when you show the pictures of the guitar neck that it is the same as your holding the guitar. The picture just needs to be flipped so we can follow along easier.
What an insight you gave me here 😃. I love practicing this. Thnx
Thank for sharing helps a lot for a beginner I will be practicing this!🤟👍
This video is GOLD STANDARD. I've gone from sounding hesitant and repetitive to creative and interesting in an instant. Subbed and Liked, thank you looking forward to your unlocking of more wisdom sir.
Subscribed, I realize how much I overplay the full scale in one position vs bouncing between positions with the box shape. Great lesson
You really should have mentioned the little half step bend on the sixth note of each box, major and minor, as it really is an "extra" note. This makes a huge difference to how your solo sounds. Anyway, nice and clear and concise explanation of this essential piece of knowledge.
excellent instruction! very nice. well done. thank you!
Been trying to do this for years, but it never sounded right - and your super easy explanation finally made it click!!! Thank you!!! Awesome! I played for three hours straight yesterday after learning this and sounded awesome.
thNKS for the tip, yeah I was a bit bored with not playing the "tails" and putting my own sound in it!!
Incredible teaching talent!!!....... Simplifying as others cannot....... So few notes were chosen, how cool is that!!...
Gonna try though!!.... Gonna be a star!!!...... Sorry, I just remembered, I am 82 years old.......Still and all......""Aint never too old to rock!!!"
I like the way you’ve explained this. I’ve always played bass or rhythm in the past, now I want to do lead
Eddie I just signed up for Guitar Mastery Method and I am stoked!
Great video just what i needed
I have started Just a while ago, Just learning and practicing, its a strugle, fingers stiff, arm pain, back cracking, owerall I love it❤️Thank you for helping us.
You can do it!
Continue on the path, Grasshopper. Love and dedication.
Great tutorial, this provides more insight on the fret movement.
Man...I wish I had you as a teacher when I was 13,lol 😆
You're a great teacher, fortunately though, I can do all these things, but I feel like I'd be "smarter" about it if I had taken lessons at the young age I was when I started..I'm 40 now.
TONS OF INSPIRATION HERE! THANKS!

🤟
this tutorial packs an impressive musical punch for aspiring guitar improvisors...thanks Eddie!
Gotta hand it to you. Great lesson. I knew about this but you made it clearer. Now I am off to nail this concept on my playing.
Cheers
Great teaching, Ed
You have a great way of conveying information that is easy and enjoyable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. Good stuff. Already subscribed.
I've always played rhythm but was recently asked to come up with licks, and I had no idea how. This helps a lot! Excited to get to work!
Great lesson!
Lightbulb went off !
Thanks!
Great clear instruction, thank you. I'm 48 just starting to learn, not musically inclined, so the process is frustrating and difficult at times. Having simple lessons like this is very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Man that was a great lesson will be giving it a go at the shop tomorrow night, great job
Brilliant tutorial. I now have a reason to use my loop pedal and it worked a treat. Thank you
Thanks. This helps me understand where & why I need to go on the neck.
Great lesson, i always pick up some valuable info from your videos, thanks
You at give me real hope after 😂
30 years of frustration but no regrets. I am really ready to play some good jams on my 1988 Fender Jap Strat which sounds and plays amazing but just not be me yet. I am 58 and need to step it up in a hurrrrrry, lol. Peace Eddie and I love your lessons, Jim
I think this description of how to use the pentatonic scales is the best I have ever seen..I cant wait to get home and put it to use!!
Thanks, glad to hear it!
Good work man that's good and interesting pounts .. love it
Hammer on pull offs and slides are very important and plain pentatonic scales. I play them some but mostly I am a finger style guitarist but it is a sensual to learn this. I picked up a guitar in 1974 and never stop playing. I love it. I am almost 70 years old and I love my guitar when I started playing we didn’t know what TH-cam was. Ha ha boy things really change I just wish we had this when I started I had a good teacher. His name was Johnny fortune did soul surfer back in 1964 I didn’t start playing till I was 22 years old. A lot of people start younger but just the same. I learn how to play again I love my guitar. Thanks for the video. I might learn some more things from you. You’re pretty damn good.😀👍🏼🎸😎
Definitely in getting your course learned a lot today
Great stuff here, man. I have gone from just reading to tabs to having some ability to improvise. Thank you.
Eddie, you're an amazing teacher. Love your lessons and Ultimate Guitar Blueprint. You are the lightbulb. I've been playing for 50 years and you've made me such a better player with just a month of watching your videos. Thanks.
Thanks so much. It's a great way to get started with understanding keys and soloing.
Great lesson. Immediately applied
It’s very smart to suggest starting with fewer notes in the box. That box to a beginner is scary. Recently I started learning triad inversions. I like that I’m only learning one key at a time on 1 string set at a time. It’s not as overwhelming and you’re so right you can focus more on being creative. Creativity for most keeps learning the guitar, or any instrument fun. Thanks for another great lesson!
Very enjoyable lesson. I need to watch more of your lessons. Thank you. Ed
Newbie here. Learning how so I can play with my step son. Thank you for your time and effort 👌 🤟💨
Hi Eddie, I have also now also purchased your comprehensive Ultimate Guitarist Blue Print course and looking forward to your great learning technique and myself spending time learning this.
Thank you for this! Turns out I've been doing this for years and didn't know why. As long as I stay "in the box" I do ok, but if I wander outside I get in trouble...!
I recently began watching him. Great instructor easy to follow. 😊
Another treasure for learning soloing.
Thanks Eddie. Great lesson and a little easier comprehension for me, which makes for more fun and desire to practice. Appreciate it sir.
Breakthrough lesson for me. Thanks Eddie & Rock On!
Great little lesson Eddie. You still the man dude !!!
No better guitar teacher on the net -- thank you Eddie !
Great lesson. I subscribed immediately after watching it.
Man I see you posted a year ago but I'm learning guitar and got most of the basics down. But this video right here bro makes Mr sound like a legend just straight playing random stuff off of this lol! Thanks this was amazing and extremely helpful the way you broke it all down!
I could spend all day just learning from these YT videos from Eddie. Luckily I signed up for the GMM course -- just awesome. Superb instruction, clear, passionate, makes me want to learn more and just keep at it!
Great to hear!

Awesome lesson, Eddie. This is exactly where I am with my tutor. Couldn't have timed it better
