    Thank you for the actually SIMPLE fondant recipe! I don't know how or why recipes calling for "xanthan gum," "glucose," or corn syrup and shortening rose to the tops of simple fondant recipe lists, but it's so annoying to sift through. This is perfect and easy to understand. I love that it actually tastes like frosting, too. Sometimes I add vanilla extract or peppermint extract to flavor it.

      Glycerine helps with the texture of the fondant. This one will harden in no time.

      @@DesPardesCuisines i used this simple recipe for a birthday cake as I had all of the ingredients already and the cake turned out to be beautiful. I wanted set frosting, not soft frosting, because my cake had sculptural elements. This kept its shape but didn't harden. It was the texture of a slightly thicker buttercream frosting.

    a help from me icing sugar is made of 60%of sugar and 40%of corn flour so dont confuse !☺

    Tried it 3 times. 1st time it was hard like stone and melted badly later on.
    2nd Time I tried it quickly on a precooled cake and it worked ok.
    3rd Time I made it, used it after one day in fridge but I kept it outside on room temperature for 4-5 hours and used it. But yes it is just a easiest solution. Becomes flaky or extreme gooey. So pls do not keep high expectation. But it is the easiest one for quick decor.

      Unsalted for no salt taste otherwise if you use salted it will taste like salt much than sugar.

      @@longjohnsilver76the amount of water and icing suger is not mention anywhere. Please check it carefully. Moreover, its always better to mention all the ingredients with quantity in description box... While making the receipe its easier if measurements are given in writting.

      If u don’t have icing sugar, you can make it with sugar and cornstarch. Idk what else. Hope this helps!

    I tried it today....turns out to be just as shown in the video.....but it breaks so muchh...all u can do is make decorations like balls...thats all i need so i made it ....not flexible at all....

    I was able to make the dough of it but it was not pliable. One cannot not spread it over the cake. At last i had to go to market and bring the marshmallows 😕
