What's the issue with wearing a beanie? It won't hurt your ability to locate sound sources... It certainly will block some frequencies more than others, making for an unbalanced sound, but it should a be fairly small difference and it would not hurt your ability to locate sound sources...
The room itself plays a bigger role than a hat.
Even with headphones, i doubt you could notice a difference wearing a hat versus not wearing one.

That depends on the hight to the ceeling and what material it's made of. And the angle of the speakers of course.. But in general systems like this are not close to the real deal.
I would rather have a pretty decent real 5.1 setup or even a pretty great 2.0 or 2.1/2.2 setup than this.

I have the elevate. It’s pretty amazing. Slightly bass heavy. By far the best bar on the market.

I can buy the state of the art from Sony, LG , Samsung or Panasonic. But sometimes I just want a good priced oled tv for my bedroom without spending thousands of dollars

The review portion of this was not thorough at all…. How are the atmos effects, rear speakers, cons, would you recommend overall for the price, etc.?
I have this etup at home you need to fine tune it a bit using the Vizio smart link app and enables the upward firing speakers on both the sound bar and the satellite speakers they make a world of difference also you can adjust the perfect distance depending on where you sit in the room and location of the speakers, Dolby ATMOS is an amazing thing, these speakers have changed my life and how I consume my audio and video in real life and they are properly loud, that bass speaker is top kek overall very good audio quality with all the Dolby stuff superb machine.

I was actually looking at this awhile back for my sisters living room. She turned it down Bc it was ugly lol
It is pretty ugly. It has that "I am not a slab" bulging look, "cheap plastic black" satin colour and is covered in "punctured holes" style of mesh. It's like it is stuck in past.

One thing I've found about this soundbar is that if you don't turn the subwoofer all the way down, it'll drown out everything else. Things didn't start getting better until I did that and fiddled with settings from the app. But now that I have it dialed in to sound good among a wide spectrum of content.... it's awesome. But the Atmos is no big deal really. Once in a while a sound will come out of those upfiring speakers. But not as often as you'd think. Bouncing off the ceiling? I doubt it. But honestly I don't care that much about it because it does sound great.
And theres a nice volume leveling feature if you don't like the sometimes massive disparity between dialogue and action.

@@Antimonkat it has 2 rear channels, but the Soundbar in the front is really just one speaker. You will not hear a diffrence between left and right and Center. Thats why i called it 3.1.2

The ceiling in that room is higher then the standard ceiling inside a house den. You will hear a HIGE differwnce testing this in a room with a lowet ceilings mkre common to an actual house and not a warehouse or office which specifically have high ceilings to prevent sound bounce.
So are they using balanced audio to make use of double RCA jacks? That's the only reason I can see them needing two RCAs for each audio channel.

Guys. Your “set” doesn’t have a ceiling! The top firing designs for all these systems expects a standard 10-foot ceiling overhead.
Then I realized this was a “watch between the lines” type video. It’s a sponsored ad. It pays money to show product. That’s it. The lack of a better test and review makes me think they either didn’t have time and just collected the cash (and that’s fine, it’s biz) OR it sounded terrible so this was their way to let you know without, hopefully, pissing off sponsor.

The point of the upward facing speakers is to bounce the sound off the ceiling and down on top of the listener....not going to work in his warehouse.

Just curious, did you set Xbox Dolby Atmos settings to game mode? There's an app on the Xbox One X, figured Series X handles it the same.
I have a headset with Atmos, changing between movie/music/game really does make an audible difference.

FYI if you play a 4k BluRay (and any media with 3d surround I assume) with "Bitstream-Dolby" set, the PS5 will pass through Atmos and DTS:X

Not much of a test of the product if you're using a soundbar with up-firing speakers in a warehouse with 10-12 foot ceilings and standing 3 feet from the TV. The use case is in a house while sitting on the couch, right?
As ever with soundbars, it all depends on the TVs mounting system...and for us mear mortals who still watch TV on a TV cabinet not a wall, the Panasonics TV base sticks out the front by 3 inches..
Sound bars are crap when compared to proper multi surround receivers and satellites..

Just picked up the Vizio M51a-H6 only sold at Costco (why?) ($200) difference between it and the regular one sold every where else is that it comes with 3 additional tweeters on the sound bar. I’ve got to say it’s nothing short of probably the best bang for the buck set up, absolutely blew my old but reliable Samsung sound bar.
You guys should get a Sennheiser AMBEO Sounbar in for testing. That is a massive unit.
I would love to see a comparison between proper stereo speakers and an expensive Dolby Atmos sound bar. If you only have 2 speakers it doesn't clutter the room much.

That's precisely what optical is for my man. It's the simple, latency-free solution to let the tv remote control connected output. I've never used a DRM-complicating-lag HDMI switch for a soundbsr setup :p
