Kiryu's not trying to fool them. He knows full well that ship sailed long ago. What he's doing is maintaining the Daidoji's narrative because Kiryu swore he would, and he sticks to his guns, even through mountains of bullshit. Because that's who Kiryu Kazuma is.
I think the most hilarious part of LAD Gaiden is the fact that no one can keep a secret. For all his efforts, Kiryu could've tweeted his return to lesser effect because everyone knew who he was immediately.
That plus the near transparent rayban glasses they gave you in the beginning.(as if they covered anything) The second I went for the clothing store I changed tf out of those IMMEDIATELY lmaoo

I love seeing the contrast between Majima and Shishido here. Both has some kind of gimmick related to Hannya, both used bats and short blades, and despite that Shishido is tougher (not stronger, just tough), Majima really showed him who's more experienced here. While Shishido charged the group and used his sword like a metal pipe, Majima simply blocked Shishido's sword with just his dagger with one hand, and his stance clearly shows that he was just testing Shishido. But Majima definitely didn't expect Shishido to simply tanked and take in his dagger to the hand like that. Also, Majima doesn't just "Simply kill people", at least in the cutscenes and minus that one lackey at the batting center. Meanwhile, Shishido had no remorse for any victim, all he wanted is just to get his goal completed.
Yeah, after seeing shishido for the first time in the trailers and with the hannya mask I was convinced he was also gonna have a hannya tattoo, which would make things interesting as Majima is the only one with a hannya tattoo

Majima insisting that Joryu is Kiryu reminds me of that scene in Speed Racer where Speed telling X that he's his brother but X keeps saying no. Poor Majima 😢. (All seriousness tho i think its funny how Kiryu is so persistent that he's someone else even tho EVERY person he knew and loved knew that he was still alive).
I thought this sucked, honestly. Kiryu barely gets scuffed fighting guys like Ryuji and Watase, but some random Watase family foot soldier throws off 2 legendary Yakuza and gives Kiryu arguably his most difficult canon fight after being kicked down an elevator shaft.

If you think it's sucked then what about Kiryu can beat all 3 lieutenant in Zero while he was at the lowest rank in the family?
Shishido was in an adrenaline rush and he's desperate to beat them. While Majima and Saejima are calmed down after the brawl, that somehow explains how he overpowered Majima and Saejima.
Yea, he even tanked Kiryu's kick, and we know how tough All of em are. This shows that Shishido is truly battling for his "dream" (pun intended lol) because Shishido is becoming a significant and serious threat to the Omi and Tojo dissolving.
True, i wonder why they didn't at least bring Aizawa , but i least we have the possibility that Ryuji lived after his final fight and might see those 2 in the future

Gaiden was made in a relatively short time together with 2 other games + having just 5 chapters and still managed to be so incredibly memorable (for me especially). Truly amazing
