前回公演の様子がTH-camで300万回再生を記録し、現在も伸び続けるワールドクラス・ディーヴァ、Nao Yoshiokaが“Tokyo Funk Sessions”を掲げてブルーノート東京に帰って来た。2022年は4月にシングル「Tokyo 2020」をリリースし、9月にはデビュー10周年を記念したアニバーサリー・ツアーを開催するなど、本格的に活動を再開。パンデミック渦中のさまざまな出会いや挑戦を経て開花した彼女のファンクは、ジャンルではなく概念であり、音楽に没頭していく生き様である。固定概念や常識から解き放たれて、本質に戻ることを手助けしてくれるのが音楽でありファンクなのだ。コロナ禍で分断した世界を取り戻すため、Nao Yoshiokaが東京の精鋭たちと作るニューウェイヴ、強靭な魂の音を分かち合いたい。

Dude, I'm even just a casual person who was born in Portugal, 1984, and was lucky enough to be exposed to some jazz and some japanese anime whilst growing up. Honestly, the sound quality on this performance alone is just over the top inspiring. I feel like I'm totally there. Which heightens me up to all the different instruments and performances on this song along! I cannot begin to imagine how absolutely brilliant experiencing live all this was. This has got to be amongst the top notch jazz performances in all history.
Please, publishers, this is 7months old for me on YT, don't let it die. This is top quality music in centuries, truly truly. Feels like ever since I was alive and more than just a baby I've been waiting for this. You better make this work or else.

Since the 80's Japan has one the best Jazz and R&B groups in the world, worth mention: Midori, Mika Nakashima, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Eri Nobuchika, Mamoru Miyano, Cassiopeia, Keiko Matsui, Hiromi Uehara, Maryia Takeushi, Hiroshi Sato, Masaki Matsubara, Tatsuro Yamashita, Tokyoi Groove Jyoshi, Toshiki Soejima, Toshiki Kadomatsu, and many others, as you can see Japan do not only make good sushi, Toyota, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and other things!! and they are very good in music too and almost everything they do, thanks to their discipline, persistance and patience a legacy from their warrior bushido influence!
