Even though it was tough finding them you gentlemen looked like you were having a blast(minus the mosquitos 😝🤣)… Great episode Jameson and Mr Funk!!! 👍👍
I have fished most of the areas you guys hit. Thanks for not advertising exactly where. I was down there in early March and the salt fish were really hard to catch. The El Nino messed them up is what I heard from locals. Water was way higher than normal and looks like the dry season wasn't so dry after all. Been tough all winter was the common thread so don't feel you were doing anything wrong. And yes, peacocks can save a south FL trip. Enjoyed the video!
Yea it was a struggle for a bit. We did finally find some snook. If you check out the latest video on the channel you might enjoy it. Tons of spiders lol.
@@roadtripangler I was in a skiff and we had one hanging around waiting for us to catch a fish to steal it. Then he swam right up to the boat and we had to smack him on the head with the push pole. Seems like someone had fed him. In a kayak it would have been scary.

Such a cool adventure!!! I'm ready to go back!
Had a blast!!
Love the way you all regrouped, reassessed and found those fish! Way to keep it real!
Had to work for it!

11:53 - thats an Oscar not a mayan :)
Yep you are correct. My buddy Chris pointed that out when he watched it as well. I will admit I do not know these species very well lol
I was down there a week ago. The gators would keep me from wanting to be in a kayak.
They are around for sure, but they really keep their distance. Never had an issue, I keep mine and they seem to want to do the same…so far lol
