In 1986 I met several of my favorite artists: Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Mike and The Mechanics, Genesis, GTR... the funny thing is that back then I had no idea they were all connected! 😳❓😅 Thanks, great video! 👍
I got shot in a robbery in July 1986. I was 7 months pregnant. My son and I survived. I couldn't walk for a while so I stayed home and listened to music. It wasn't such a bad year now that I think about it. I'm still here. I'm still listening to this awesome music.
Please please do a chart countdown for October 11, 1986. Janet Jackson was at 100 with Nasty and #1 with When I Think Of You. She was a bookcase that week.
That was a great summer, I remember all those great songs were playing on the radio. My favorite at the time was Peter Cetera's Glory of Love which would go to the #1 spot in a few weeks and it was #1 for 2 weeks.
And Papa Don't Preach was the UK number 1 at the time,a couple of months after Live to Tell reached number 2 here (kept off the top by Rock Me Amadeus).
Top 10 Chart (26 de Julio de 1986): ¡Disfrútala! #10: "Modern Woman", Billy Joel #9: "Holding Back The Years", Simply Red #8: "Mad About You", Belinda Carlisle #7: "Love Touch", Rod Stewart #6: "Papa Don't Preach", Madonna #5: "Glory Of Love" (Soundtrack From "Karate Kid"), Peter Cetera. #4: "Nasty Boy", Janet Jackson #3: "Invisible Touch", Phil Collins" #2: "Danger Zone", Kenny Loggins #!: "Sledgehammer", Peter Gabriel.
@@mikekaraoke Yeah, that was Genesis. Phil Collins was a busy man in the 80s. Making hits with Genesis and on his own. He would always be on the radio.
@@lamarravery4094 It was indeed, thought that was common knowledge to be honest! Well not just on his own like for Example-Band Aid. etc Where you from my friend??

10:00 I met this song in a sunday night TV show in Brazil when I was 5. It got stuck forever in my mind. This song makes me think of two things: - sex - sexy women Hard luck, Invisible Touch...
No disrespect to Neil Diamond, but he really seems like he's trying to being that Dad desperately trying to prove to his kids and their friends he's still cool.
I googled the biggest hits of 1986 on Billboard Hot 100 charts and they did not match these songs. That's What Friends Are For capped the No. 1 spot for the said year. I am sorry if I were wrong.
@@victorlorenzo5467 Some charts have Huey Lewis's Stuck with you as the #1 song for that year. And in other charts they have Peter Cetera's Glory of Love as the #1 song of that year. So it all depends which chart you prefer.

George Michael. A real singer. Clear and strong. Unlike most he didn’t have to scream, didn’t need help like other so called singers. That’s why he lasted decade after decade. Don’t even know most of these groups, they just fizzled out. George had the voice of an angel. Now he’s singing with them. RIP
@@barrydavid6634 Nope sorry. I was a different kid. I did listen to GM (always loved him) but my mother raised me on musicals and old movies. I like a lot of 40s & 50s early 60s. Dick Haymes, Rosemary Clooney, and Michael Feinstein. He’s more current. As I said, I’ve always been different.
@@lisacobb7525 well all I can say is you've missed out on some awesome music because the music of the 80s had the best you see I dont go for the 40s the 50s 60s 70s & 90s are alright but the 80s is where its at no offense
There's nothing wrong with 'screaming' though. I agree he's an all-time great vocalist, but there's literally no reason to put others down, in order to put him over them. In the end, he was better than most singers ever. On a side note, there are many great artists in this list. Almost half of them are legitimate actually.
