Exploring and fishing the East Kimberley Coast in Western Australia

Hannah and I head out for an overnight trip up the East Kimberley Coast just off Wyndham in Western Australia. Our goal is to explore fishing locations and bring home some Golden Snapper for dinner.

awsome video mate. CAn you launch a 4m tinny with 40hp from the beach up on cape domet ? or do you need to go via wyndham ?

Hi mate, I know people that have, however I’ve always taken the boat from Wyndham boat ramp 👍

No problem launching a tinny at Domett, but it is a 6 hour 4wd track into there. Tanmara creek is a few hours closer and provides access into the false mouths as well. If you do go to Tanmara, camp 2km into the bush from the boat ramp to avoid the midgies and mozzies. The beaches you see Grant pulling up at are at the needles and are not accessible by 4wd.
