My 7 year old daughters loves boats. She's addicted to fishing videos. Pity we live in the middle of the Riverina in NSW, and we're a solid 6 hour drive to the ocean. I'm currently trying to convince my wife to move to FNQ. It has absolutely nothing to do with MY obsession with going after big barra!

I worked at koolan island for a while after the sea wall broke . We had gt's and barracuda in the pit. Also whales jumping near the rebuild sea wall

Crackin spot mate. Love that area, unfortunately all locked up as a sanctuary zone since 2022. The big drain about 400m west of the hole had a huge resident 4m croc we saw all through 2021.

Spectacular part of the world, spent about 5 years going to Koolan and Cockatoo for work, unfortunately didn't get to explore too much. The tides are awesome up there, they change direction around Cockatoo every 6 hrs n run between 4 n 8 knots. Certainly nailed the location. Sad to see so many charters there now, back in the early 2000's there was maybe only 2 operators
It really is spectacular up there . The charters were good though they helped us out heeaps! We got a lot of supplies from them and deliveries haha

Looking at the way your girl holds the rod in her right hand why not do her a favour and unscrew the handle and put it on the left. She can then do what she wants to do naturally, cast and wind without swapping the rod to the other hand.

Not only did he neglect to put life jackets on those kids let the little girl stand up on the seat playing around with the fishing rod while they were motoring along at reasonable speed, he was also 100% distracted by his video camera.
