It didn't change fashion trends, or a century's style, it's more that they were early with the trend. They knew this was the direction fashion was going. It's probably a mix of a lot of research and trend analyzing and a good instinct for the movements in fashion.

I checked her into a hotel right before quarantine hit! She was so incredibly sweet and humble. It was just her and her son and their interaction was so pure. She acted as if she didn't realize how famous she actually is. Only reason I didn't fan girl was because I was the supervisor that night lol

I was literally about to comment on the mannerisms staying the same! I used to try and copy her expressions when I was little, but it’s impossible to replicate without that mouth shape. Hard to explain, but even her mannerisms are iconic and I love it.

I remember being 9 when this came out (too young to see it), but when I watched the commercials for the movie, I was enamored with the fashion! I was like, "I wanna dress just like that!" When we'd walk near a theater where the movie poster was displayed, I would just stare in awe, hoping to one day fill my wardrobe with similar fashion. :)

I remember seeing Clueless in the theatre and was awestruck by the outfits. It changed how we dressed in the 90’s, suddenly clothes became more colorful and feminine. I was obsessed with the yellow, button down, cardigan. I couldn’t find anything exactly like it, came close with yellow v neck pullover sweater and used it in my senior pics. I eventually started knitting to try to recreate it, but it never happened, maybe someday. I was also obsessed with driver’s test outfit. Everything about that outfit was perfection, right down to the silver Mary Janes. Man, I miss the fashion of the 90’s, give me a time machine and I’d be gone in a second!

There were so many outfits in that movie that both Cher and Dion wore that I still want today. In the 90s, I wanted to dress like a mix between the grunge look and the feminine Clueless look. One of my favorite outfits in high school was wearing a plaid skirt with combat boots ala Liv Tyler in Empire Records.
