Great review. I have a question: I have to carry 8.5 x 14 (legal) sized papers for work, in addition to computer and often a tablet. Could these papers fit somewhere? I don’t like the idea of putting it in the middle because I fear they would wrinkle, but perhaps I’m wrong.
Thanks so much! You might want to double check with black embers customer support - they’ll give you the best answer. Be sure to let us know what they say!
Well done, Video. I finally bought my Elements Tech Brief Pro in Sage grey, which does not disappoint. It is perfect for when I travel and have to work as well. I use it as my personal item and my backpack as my carry-on.
Another option which might not be as feature “rich” but definitely more practical and looks to really carry 20L, is the Evergoods TB20 at the same price point. Great review though Aaron. Thanks
That laptop sleeve with edge is pretty cool, not really quick to access though. With the overall size and setup it’s more of a travel brief than an everyday brief, unless your daily carry would benefit from full clamshell. The metal modular hardware seems neat, I’d like to try it once, but im a set it and forget it sort of guy.
Any plans to review Bellroy Tokyo Work Bag 20L? That bag would be a perfect alternative to Black Ember. Classy looking, roomy main compartment, useful pockets, and WATER BOTTLE pocket.
Wow man! Really awesome review - and what a magnificant bag!! To me it seems like, it is a perfect breed between the Nomatic messenger and the Peak Design messenger: The features of the Nomatic and the comfort of the Peak Design. I'm probably gonna get it🙃💼
Not related but a question for the community. This was my experience with Filson regarding their lifetime warranty. When my Filson bag developed a defect, I found that the bag had been discontinued. Since they no longer made that model, they didn’t have a replacement available. Instead, they offered me the original purchase price, which was lower than the cost of their current bags, essentially giving me a credit towards a comparable, newer model. Is this how Black Ember handles discontinued items under their warranty?
Phone pocket could be used for second phone such as hiding my work phone if I’m on vacation. . Otherwise no I wouldn’t put my phone in a place that isn’t easily accessible.
I like Black Ember's aesthetics. But the removeable accessories, especially the handles are gimmicks to me. If you want that handle, why would you want something that is now a point of potential failure (or user error). I do like the ability to add accessory straps for external carry (e.g. to strap on a jacket on the outside).
Most dangerous reviewer ever - who tempts me to buy everything he reviews. Need to stay away from your channel for sure! Great job as always Aaron! Love your presentation style which has got me hooked to your videos which I watch multiple times just for fun. In your review of the Forge you had mentioned that the material was a dust magnet. How about this one? Have they fixed that issue? Are you going to review the Forge Gen2 as well? Would love to see that review and make my decision. Torn between Aer CPP , Pro Pack and Forge (mainly for versatility which can be for EDC and occasional travel). Which one would you suggest?
thanks so much! Black Ember has updated their fabrics to re/cor - much less of a hair magnet. No new Forge review on the radar yet. I'd personally go with the Aer CPP

great call on it being more of a travel brief, I totally agree with that

I can't say for sure, I think you'll get the most accurate answer by asking Black Ember directly though

good points!
Have you ever gone for a business trip to New York.?
I assume you mean messenger bags and NY don't mix, unless you want to lose all your stuff lol.
many times!

yea the modular components are a bit gimmicky to me as well, but it's also an interesting angle that I haven't seen any other bag companies do
Checks all my checklist!😋
its a beast
I cant unsee the goofy face now 😂
Me too 😂
Wait what was the movie reference
what part
@@Nomads.Nation I’m confused I thought you made a movie reference in the video
@@wick3dheathen ha I probably did but not sure where in the review I made the reference... 🤔
Pretty thoughtful design but not my use case. Great nonetheless.
I was very impressed
“Awwww shiz here we go again” 😅

Too much bag, not enough storage. Still cool but not for me.
Too much organization kills versatility and capacity
very true!
