The same person that decided to not include Karen’s data in the cellphone report, is the person that “didn’t see” thousands of messages in the Sandra Birchmore case. @@melyblazegardens1883 FYI, the defense cannot withhold incriminating evidence, because the defense doesn’t have any duty to provide incriminating evidence in discovery. The CW has to prove their allegations. Try to understand the law before making false accusations.
This retrial makes me so uncomfortable. How can the prosecution get over the fact that independent experts have concluded that O’Keefe wasn’t hit by a car? I don’t understand how the prosecution can just keep attempting to prosecute her for something experts are saying didn’t happen? (International viewer here, our courts work quite differently)
Though our courts may work differently, there's one thing they have in common: they're run by human beings. That's why they aren't immune to corruption, which you see here in full display by the judge, and the prosecution. They know the actual murderer(s) was a member of law enforcement, so they falsely pursue this woman to protect them.
That’s without evidence. Had they looked at the vehicle data it shows a consistent reduction in speed with same pedal down pressure 75% so yeah. Maybe they should look at the evidence. That’s what experts do don’t they lol
@@stevenprice6957 If I'm remembering correctly, the FBI experts based their conclusions on O'Keefe's injuries that were inconsistent with a hit and run not on any car data, so I don't agree with your assertion that they didn't look at the evidence.

The experts, and the ME all said the man wasn't hit by a car. Proctor, before he was given the correct talking points, stated John O'Keefe was beaten to death.
I get the impression that this judge does not wish to be there at all. She seemingly blames the defense for not taking that awful long long loooong ago plea "deal". So Judge Cannone is basically Judge Cranky probably dreaming of her vaca home at Cape Cod.
@ I could see that but I just can’t help but feel like she’s personally biased against KR. Maybe it’s because she has had AJ as her defense and she just dislikes AJ that much, but it just seems like there aren’t enough roadblocks in the world for the defense team.
Agreed, why can’t she just make a call on any motion? It’s always taking it under advisement…. Who does she have to ask permission on what to do? I’ve watched so many trials and it’s not normal!
I think the focus should be attempting to disprove the Crash Daddies, which can't be done. Even if she was intoxicated, alcohol didn't cause OJO injuries.
This. There’s no disproving that. There’s no way to prove that the injuries he suffered 100% were conclusively caused by a car. It already has been proven that it is very highly likely that his injuries were NOT caused by a car. That’s the most damning evidence imo.
@beepboop8374 Even the Commonwealth's own medical examiner said his injuries were not consistent with being hit by a car. Karen could have had pure Everclear in her veins, but if she didn't hit him, she can't be guilty.
But even her saying she hit some thing was when she left John’s house and backed into his vehicle doesn’t mean she backed into John O’Keefe and killed him. The Arca guys proved through physics that John did not die from being hit by a car.
@@stevenprice6957 you first. Jen admits on the stand that she, with permission of the trooper, deleted a number of messages between herself and Ali. That isn't even in dispute. Why are you lying?

This was an interesting hearing. A few thoughts in no particular order: I think the new prosecutor is much sharper than Lally, and he is being thorough (like Lally should have been). Karen’s lawyers should re-urge their own Rule 17 motions, and let’s see if both sides are treated equally. I doubt there’s anything usable in the redacted portions of the interviews. It’s a fishing expedition that will go nowhere (in my opinion). Same goes for Mr and Mrs Read’s phone records. Those should absolutely not be allowed - the CW has all the information they claim they want. They’re just hoping they’ll find some other tidbit that will help their case. Oh and one more thing: the CW was smart to get a successful criminal defense attorney as their new special prosecutor.
1:11:11 she's innocent so let him have whatever interview recording that they want it's only going to prove more innocence. But I guess the prosecution has a way of twisting things to make her look guilty like they tried in the last trial.

Karen has said in the interviews she was questioning if it could have been possible, this after the McCabes pointed at her taillight. She must be the only person that allegedly confesses in front of multiple police officers and nobody decides to arrest her and they don’t even include it in their reports.
If you like gaslighting and manipulating facts, I suggest you find someone else to spread your false information, I don’t have time for people like you.
@@marcelofrias1631 Exactly, Thank you. Adding to that, at the moment of these interviews they also didn’t know the CW had hidden Karen’s cell information that proved she was at John’s house at the moment of the possible dead and when JM was still “seeing” them in the front yard and “asking John to enter”. The same person that decided to not include Karen’s data in the cellphone report, is the person that “didn’t see” thousands of messages in the Sandra Birchmore case.
They hid the information that could erase the doubt that was planted in a moment of distress by someone very probably implicated.
@@sharonpeek4578 Usually I'm very skeptical of claims of corruption and cover ups (generally I would usually say incompetence before corruption) but in this case it's just so hard not to start to believe the conspiracies
@@stevenprice6957 I see the evidence that, instead of hooking the car to a computer, and getting all the pertinent read-outs, they ripped out the dash for no other reason than to destroy the evidence that would exonerate Karen. The experts, and the ME all said the man wasn't hit by a car. Proctor, before he was given the correct talking points, stated John O'Keefe was beaten to death.
Judge Bev is SO exhaustinggg. She could not be more obviously biased against the defense team if she tried.
This whole town I’d biased against Read
Agreed, why can’t she just make a call on any motion? It’s always taking it under advisement…. Who does she have to ask permission on what to do? I’ve watched so many trials and it’s not normal!
@@dawnt.7735 she’s drawing it out, I think.
I’m getting back into doing 5km everyday and I literally save these episodes to listen to for 40 mins straight a time. Love as always from Ireland 🇮🇪
I’d laugh if all the redacted stuff in the interview is Karen accusing the Alberts and the lawyers telling her she can’t say that’s 😂
Will they be back for trial 2? If it even happens…
@beepboop8374 Even the Commonwealth's own medical examiner said his injuries were not consistent with being hit by a car. Karen could have had pure Everclear in her veins, but if she didn't hit him, she can't be guilty.
@@Orangemochafrappucino yup they will be, also for the civil lawsuit
The daddies didn’t use evidence. Lol. So pure guess work by the bird brains. Vehicle data says she hit a pedestrian
She should be removed from this case, as she continuously shows prejudice against the defendant.

It's not true that he only wants the call records of calls between Karen and her father. He claims that's all he's interested in, but the motion is asking for all call records for a month long period, and all calls, texts, data usage, etc. for a 2 day period. So while he says he's not interested in any other information, his motion asks for all of that information.
And of course, he's lying. He already has all the call records he claims he needs. He actually just wants to look at Bill Read's phone records to see if there's anything else interesting in them, just in case.
Edit: Emily says at 40:46 "Well they didn't ask for that, they're saying". But Brennan is just being very slippery. He DID ask for it, he's just "not interested in it".

EDB can you explain - if both sides are arguing a continuance is necessary for the proper course of justice and the judge says no, is this not recusal evidence to say her interest is not the proper course of justice??
This was an interesting hearing. A few thoughts in no particular order:
I think the new prosecutor is much sharper than Lally, and he is being thorough (like Lally should have been).
Replay crew here! Repping from the Bay Area. I was gonna join the live but I didn’t have the patience to deal with Bev😒
