Good morning Mariam, hope you are well and apologies for the late reply. I'm now trying to catch up with my comments as I do love to read them and reply if I can. Glad you enjoyed my quick tour of Ayr, this is another one of those videos that I intended to spend 3-4 hours there but arrived later than expected and only had about an hour to stroll around. Enjoyed it though! Cool that you have some online friends who live in the area, glad I could show it to you. Edinburgh is definitely a more expensive place - those prices were crazy but at least you had a good location and enjoyed your visit!

Wowww Scotland I love it I like the beautiful places the views the food and beaches and hve some friends in Scotland.. the hotel rooms so beautiful....thank u for sharing the vedios I enjoy watching ur vedios....
Thanks very much, it was a beautiful area and I'm glad I was able to visit. The hotel was excellent for £38, couldn't have asked for more. Hope all is well with you!!😀
Ayr is a city we have actually heard of. That golden beach is beautiful and the William Wallace statue is cool looking. No breakfast but they seem like they will bring you a nice burger from room service. What a deal! Looking forward to the next one.
It sure was a lovely beach and I enjoyed strolling around the town. Haha yeah the burger looked immense but thankfully I had already eaten a chicken burger earlier in the evening so thought I better not!
Did you do a video over at Loch Doon? My family are from the nearby Dalmellington, and I've just stumbled across your videos via your Clitheroe video (I live in Blackburn nearby)
Yes I did indeed, sadly though I wasn't able to stop in Dalmellington due to time constraints but I did make it to Loch Doon and the castle. Lovely area! Here's the Loch Doon video - th-cam.com/video/oCQa0LIDueQ/w-d-xo.html . Ah yes my trip to Clitheroe, hope I did the place justice! Cool town. Thanks for watching.
Is it embarrassing that I've only ever visited the (what was then) Butlins there. I believe it's a Haven holiday park now! In my defence I was a child and I honestly loved it at the time. I remember there being a beach, but nothing as nice as the one you shared in this video. I really like Premier Inn's when you can get them for prices like £38 per night. I know some go crazy high in price, especially in super touristy areas. Intrigued to know what you do about breakfast when staying at these, do you pay the extra for their breakfasts?
I stayed in a few Butlins in my youth too, I was very young and only just remember small parts of it. I think the Haven Holiday Park is just to the south of Ayr so I must have driven past it on my way out of town. Gotta say I love the £38 Premier Inn's as well - they have always served me well. In terms of breakfast I decided to get the buffet in the morning to set me up for the day, I knew I had a lot of driving and didn't want the bother of trying to find somewhere along the route. I think it was £10 which is brilliant for what you get. If I was in a city all day I may have skipped breakfast and got something out, I also had a few breakfast cereal bars with me but I'm usually hungry an hour later if I don't get something substantial - especially when I know I'm going to be burning a lot of energy during the day.
Thanks Olga, it's good to have you following along. I drove the North Coast 500 in Scotland a few years ago and am really getting into my Scottish road trips!

Ouch $100, that's quite a bit for a hotel room. I love finding bargains and I try not to spend too much when I'm literally arriving late and leaving early the next day - seems a waste of money when all I want is a bed for the night. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
I'm not sure what that is. Sadly I arrived quite late so my time there was rushed, could have done with half a day easy. Bit of a shame but at least I got a taste of it!
bro blue lagoon in Ayr is near my house and i absolutley hate it blue lagoons fish and chips arent that good they dont even cook the fish so i just wanna warn u
As the bard would say “ne’er a toon surpasses for honest men and bonny lasses” ... unfortunately Ayr is no longer the thriving seaside town it was in its heyday, with numerous properties either having been or subject to demolition and many retail outlets now lying empty and dilapidated
