Bought one of these from summit racing a year ago, it recently stopped working so I contacted jet and they gave me the runaround on replacing it, so I contacted summit racing and they sent me a replacement, fast shipping and the new one works great, moral of the story, Summit racing is awesome, jet performance, not so much.
Imo what im building for my 2019 5.3 Is im gonna Get the K&N CAI you got first before Cold air inductions, an LT Swap Intake with Throttle body, Cam, Headers new fuel injectors and tune it to 93 Octane or E85. Thats where im gonna make some serious Horspowee gains
Sounds good. I am thinking about getting a tune soon to see if I get more out of all the upgrades. I would have to think that is the only way to get the full potential out of everything.
Love your video Brother! I have a 2020 trail boss, shadow gray, 6 inch zone off-road kit on 22 x 12 on 35s , I have not touch the engine though, but probably this with my first engine upgrade
Man I been watching your videos and now want to get this for my 2022 RST 1500. Got my jet MAF sensor on way, gonna have pull trigger on this now and then the swing box
I noticed on your dash that your Auto Stop/Start light was on I hope your next mod will be to delete that out. It's one of the main reasons along with the AFM/DFM as to why these engines are destroying lifters, just my 2 cents my friend
I mainly drive around in L9 which cuts it off completely, but I plan to eventually take care of it. Looks like there may be a handheld tuner that will unlock the computer that I have had my eye on.
Do you have a pulsar LT installed with this?? I have this same throttle body, but im hesitant to run it with my pulsar lt. I called edge, but they cant give me a definite answer as to whether they would interfere with each other.
I called Jet Performance this morning. They said run it. No issues. The pulsar was worth it to me. Deativating the DFM/AFM, calibrating my speedo to my tires, and the throttle booster eas well worth it in one package to me. Truck runs night and day different. $500 was no sweat for that.
Update: I installed the Jet throttle bottle yesterday. Like you, I broke the clip lol. I snapped some zip ties together to secure it. No big deal. New gm protocol calls to idle the truck for 20 min, then drive it for 50-100mi for re-learn after instaling the throttle body. I did exactly this and it works flawless. The throttle body with stock pulsar throttle setting feels like setting 2 on the pulsar without the throttle body. Throttle setting 3-5, holy shit its awesome! Gave me a little deeper tone while accelerating, even more acceleration, and I also averged 17 mpg between 70-80 mph on the 80mi relearn drive I did. Its definitely a winning combo!
@mattgonzalez9786 Awesome to hear. lol, yea those clips are annoying. I looked in to replacing it, but that clip is crazy expensive. I may have to try the pulsar eventually, but I have to calm spending down a little cause I just dropped money down on my true dual Borla Atak setup and it is amazing. Hoping to post that video later today.
Yes, I definitely feel more response, but if you don’t want to spend all the money, I would recommend the MAF sensor over the throttle body. I noticed a bigger difference with the MAF sensor.
Honestly, yes and no. I say that because if you have a problem they would have to prove that the Throttle Body caused it, and I feel like it just depends on what dealership you take it to if they try to make a fuss about mods. I have always done intake mods on all my vehicles and I have never had any problems. The biggest thing is to make sure they are installed correctly.
Depends on where you live.. Warranty laws in the US state the warranty provider has to prove that the modification is the reason something broke and needs to be repaired or replaced.
I wonder how much power you’ll make if you actually get a real tune. Awesome video just ordered my jet maf sensor cause of you looking forward to see how this throttle body works out for you might be next on the list.
The older 5.3s have way more to gain from a tune. Gm left room on purpose so they could tweak the numbers up year over year. Im talking 99 to present also it became more complicated to tune after 04 with the drive by wire. The 04s only went to 4,300rpm befor fule cut.
Hey what’s up. Looking to throw this into my 21 trailboss . I clicked the link to jet performance but none of them say it actually fits the Silverado. It only lists the Colorado blazer and traverse. Please let me know what you did .
Just for S&Gs, i looked this throttle body up on Amazon and it said it wont fit my truck. I looked up the same one as in the video, part # 76108. It should fit, if its the same one as you have, correct?
its a waste of money you didn't measure the tb to see if it was any bigger that stock and didn't dyno it to verify any hp gain, dude who is going to buy a $700 in total set for what 8 more horses?
The throttle body is a direct replacement from your factory Throttle body. The difference is the ridges and the inside electronic components. I actually plan to get dyno it when I can find the time. Just wanted to finish all the upgrades before spending the money on it. I agree, for the price I would not buy this alone, but if you are someone that wants to add every bit of horsepower without getting a tune then it’s the way to go. A tune these days on newer trucks is crazy expensive because you have to get the computer unlocked.
@@bigmike98k so low end turbo over throttle body got it, did you just throw the turbo on and let it ride or did you drop a tune in it? Because that costs money too, also you have a glorified cold air intake too if you aren’t tuning it correctly, but it’ll sure sound neat spooling up 😁

I got a 5.3 in switch the intake manifold and throttle to a L86 and have them ported .. now that is a upgrade
did you have to tune?
I just needed a reference on where and how to remove my throttle body just to clean it for maintenance purposes. Thanks
Glad to help, I also have a video showing how to clean your MAF sensor if you need that. Thanks for watching!

Hey I’m about to buy this as well. With buying this will I need to get spacer too, or would you say it’s not needed?
I don’t think a spacer would make much of a difference in my opinion but some people swear by them.
Awesome Video Zach!!!
Thanks!
You never let us know the MPG increase/decrease from final cold air intake you installed as you stated you would. No update?
I saw no change in mpg with the Throttle body and MAF sensor. I saw 1-2 mpg with the cold air intake.
Can I get a part number on the throttlebody please
Do you have a pulsar LT installed with this?? I have this same throttle body, but im hesitant to run it with my pulsar lt. I called edge, but they cant give me a definite answer as to whether they would interfere with each other.
I don’t have the Pulsar LT. It’s kinda overpriced in my opinion.

So the combination of mass air flow and cold air intake, is it good ?
Yes, I definitely feel more response, but if you don’t want to spend all the money, I would recommend the MAF sensor over the throttle body. I noticed a bigger difference with the MAF sensor.
Will that void my warranty?

Most likely yes. CAI, Catback exhaust, and Most suspension kits are the only things that won't.
Should have thrown a throttle body spacer on while you had it off…
I thought about it, but at least it’s easy to take off if I decide to in the future.
I wonder how much power you’ll make if you actually get a real tune. Awesome video just ordered my jet maf sensor cause of you looking forward to see how this throttle body works out for you might be next on the list.

@@zachattackcustoms that will honestly be pretty cool

Yes that is the correct model number for mine, which is a 2020 Chevy Silverado 5.3
It’s cheaper to go through the website with my 25% off code than on Amazon.
That's true, but I can use affirm on Amazon and pay over time lol low monthly payments
@jasonworkman7912 sounds good, I make nothing off the promo code, just want to make sure you get the lowest price.
What size is your motor

Will this swap effect California smog emissions?
I am not sure but it will probably give you cancer. lol according to California, every product gives you cancer.
