Hi Guys do you know anyone who service waste oil heaters in Chicagoland area ?? cant find anyone and my unit Shenandoah 350 kicking my A..ss, it works perfectly, dialed and tuned perfectly but it blows warm air only, depending what weather is outside sometimes blows hot sometimes just warm cold, some people suggesting to change my exhaust flue pipes because my heat is escaping outside ?? is this something you heard of ? my exhaust temp is at 300 always and sometimes 310. Thank you guys !!!!
@jafarhon I will check if we know of anyone in that area, but here are some things to look for: 1. Flame size- it should be about two feet long but not touching the back plate. 2. Is the furnace clean for heat transfer? Check all the tubes! Biggest problem with the 350... 3. Is the the draft right with the stack mounted above the roof? The heat could be getting sucked out? 4. Are the fan switch settings right? 5. Is the fan dirty?
Thank you very much for getting back, flame is perfect, i watched every video you have on your channel and educated my self, flame is 2 feet and yes bright yellow 15psi air to 5 psi oil, fan switch also set like it should be, and when i purchased it i opened it up and used my compressor air to blow out all the ash, and than used my 3000psi power washer to wash all the ash out, so firebox is sparkling clean, than i followed your video and rebuild the firing unit including new heating elements and new nozzle. It works perfectly with no glitches, my only concern is my exhaust pipe, is it even possible that my heat is getting sucked out ? Like i commented above, when its sunny and no wind outside its blowing hot, when its cloudy and windy it blows cold / warm air, so got me thinking if my heat is getting sucked outside. Thank you
