John and his Brother would also be well known television personalities here in Ireland Nick.. Both are very successful business men. This video is my favourite Meet the owner so far.. A brilliant tour of a beautiful boat.. Looking forward to the next installment...

For someone who can only dream of owning a boat, massive thank you to John and Nick for giving me a truly wonderful insight. Really enjoyed that and what a lovely man John is so humble. A true delight and Nick as ever, brilliant.
An incredibly pleasant 40 mins. An interesting and warm gentleman who I imagine is very successful in his chosen career. If I ever get to Ireland, I'd definitely would organise to stay at his hotels. Brilliant as always Nick (I particularly liked Marianne looking over John's shoulder for the entire talk 😄).
Hi Nick, Marianne and John. A great boat with customer design. 2 king size cabins, huge lazarette. 3 engines. Tons of deck space. Marianne quietly tucked up with a book, Nick doing what he does, filming "meet the owner" on boats. Great walkthrough video thanks 😊
I do love meet the owner, and John Brennan was passionate about his mattress and the importance of a good nights sleep. Looking forward to seeing the boat underway along with the Emerald Isle coastline
John Brennan a lovely man with amazing hotels .. I’d no idea he was into boats .. tbh it’s the neatest most organised boat I’ve ever see .. I love it .. Also thanks for coming to Ireland ..
Oh my - John can talk eh! Typically friendly Irishman - can only imagine what he'd be like after a few guinness! Great video, and in all honesty, joking aside - he was a pleasure to listen to. Cheers Nick
What a great guy, who really knows his boat and is a great ambassador for the brand. Love the boat and totally understand his comments and reasons for designing this for his requirements. It totally suits him. Not often do you take such a backseat and allow someone to control the tour and dialogue, but it so suited this video. I thoroughly enjoyed every second. You knew when to interject with a perfectly chosen question. Great seeing Marianne was able to join you. I can’t wait to see the next section as Kerry is one of my favourite locations ! I first visited the Kenmare area in 1968/69, drawn not by boats or the fantastic scenery but the Circuit of Ireland Rally. I never returned but having seen John I was truly inspired to visit once more. His demeanour is typical of the area and the Irish in general. Unfortunately a personal boat is beyond my reach but I will certainly try one of his hotels. The video is probably one of the best you have produced, showing not a "show off owner or show off boat", but a pairing made for each other. A boat built to be used for the job and the owners needs. No flash, just good old fashioned common sense, in a boat that will be truly used and enjoyed. Fantastic !!!!! sorry could not resist.
Another little gem Nick, a great boat with lovely owner. I could listen to John all day such an interesting man who has worked hard to achieve his rewards. Good luck to him.
This is such a unique series, brilliant idea. Everyone always has such preconceived notions about people who own, let's say bigger than the average man's fishing boat. Thanks.
I enjoy hearing why owners have done the things they have done to their boats. My sister live on the inlet where that boat is so she probably sees it quite often.

I've wanted to visit Ireland since I was a kid,and now I know one of the places to stay at.It would also be nice to go out for an afternoon's tour of the coasts nearby too.Thank you for the tour and chat.I keep watching 'the numbers' so I'll be able meet in person.
Best video to date! Wow what a great boat! He’s right, it checks the most important boxes… and anyone who’s slept in a full size v-berth with the hull slap will appreciate the comfort that a production king size bed comfort can offer. Great boat great guest great video, we’ll done.
Someone put a comment asking for drone footage to be included in these videos. I have to disagree. The charm of this channel is that it is an enthusiastic bloke with his GoPro giving us detailed tours of beautiful boats. Nick stays the right side of these videos not being sales pitches even though many are on the market and clearly that assists in access. If they became sales videos with a big production, background music, drones etc then I would be less inclined to watch. Keep up the excellent work Nick and John is a top owner!
The boat is lovely. You viewers need to check out his hotels. Really beautiful. We are planning a trip to Ireland in 2023 and his hotels and location are definitely on the list.
I could listen to this guy all day………finally a ‘higher end’ boat owner who isn’t up his own bottom and had me chuckling throughout the interview…….absolutely outstanding vessel and great video…….kept up the good work. 👍👍
I think you’ve just found me the perfect boat. Now...I’ve said that before, but, as John said, it’s not flashy it’s practical. That is me to a T. And bespoke to boot. Fantastic. Thank you
Great video Nick, That is a really nice boat with a nice interior, love the cabins really spacious. John seems a great guy and knows what he wants, and he lives in a beautiful part of Ireland.
What a great pleasure listening to Mr Brennen with solid boating experience and sound advice. Looking at his hotel’s website it will definitely be on the itinerary next time I’m on the West Coast. Appreciate being made aware of Redbay Boats - clearly a grand company to do business with.
Everyone else has said what needs to be said. Great chap. Friendly, knowledgeable and that accent - totally makes you enthralled. The boat is incredible. Looking forward to seeing the trip out in it. Enjoy your time I’m Ireland Nick and Marianne.

Best video yet. What a boat. Redbay sound like a great company. Really liked the way John described how the design suits that part of the world - this is the most important point in buying a boat
This was a brilliant upload Nick. I loved the boat, but the owner was also an impressive guy. He's an absolute natural on camera. Could have listened to him all day, top bloke👍
It is great. Furnished like a hotel, neat and airy everywhere, even in engine room. And he knows exactly what he needs e.g. no generator etc. for his sailing trip. He really put his hotel administration skills to good use.
We got married at John's hotel in Kenmare in 2000. An absolutely charming man who made the weekend so special. The Park Hotel is a very special place to us and they look after you so well. Highly recommended. We recently visit again with our children in 2016 and he couldn't have been more welcoming. Great video Nick and a pleasure to watch.
When I'm over there I will be staying in one of his hotels, what a nice guy and what a great boat, never seen one of these before. Yet another great video Nick
Nick, this is one of the best informative videos you have done. A very down to earth practical boat which is well thought out by the owner for his family’s needs. Fantastic review & thanks to John for his candid comments. More like this if possible Nick.🙏👍
And again, Nick did it in his very nice and charmy way: introducing us a very interesting owner and a great boat. Well done - stay tuned and all the best from Germany! I love these vids 😍!
I have watched this video three times now. What a charming, laid back and pragmatic guy John is. Thank you Nick for introducing us to him and also the boat which is stunning in every way. I have had the pleasure of a guided tour of the Redbay factory with the owner Tom McLaughlin several years ago. Another guy who is out of the same mould (so to speak) as John. Keep up the great videos.
Best so far on meet the owner, John is a great guy and runs some great business’s which I enjoy visiting as much as possible. This boat is revolutionary in its sector and I could’nt wait to see it. Looking forward to the next video in the Atlantic on the 1450 and when you finally get to tour Thunderchild 2 in Cork.
This is a fantastic video, Nick. I absolutely relish the “Meet The Owner” experiences. He’s got a fantastic boat and is a lovely fellow. I truly hope to visit your, and his, part of the world some day and take in the beautiful countryside! Also, you do a marvelous job interviewing your subjects. I’m grateful to have found your channel. As always, all the best to you and Marianne!

Easiest job you've ever had, Nick!!! I thought the owner was really engaging, relaxed and explained everything well with sound reasons for designing the boat as he had.. Would love to go and have a few hours on the boat chatting to a very interesting bloke.
Fantastic boat and a very likeable owner. I may have to sell my restaurant and get one of these (i can hear my wife mumbling something in the background). Another excellent tour, well done Nick.😊✔
Fantastic report Nick, and glad to see that you got a bit of boating in! John must be a dream to interview, as he has a tongue in his head and is very eloquent. I don't know John, but I met his brother, Francis, when I stayed at the Kenmare Park Hotel some years ago. Still, the best Hotel I have stayed in any where in my travels. The attention to detail at Kenmare Park is simply stunning, so Johns attention to detail with his boat doesn't surprise me at all. Kenmare is a beautiful part of a wonderful country. I must go back there again.
I have absolutely no intention of ever owning a boat but I was glued to this from start to finish. John’s commentary was so full of clearly conveyed information and great to sea a boat capable of the heavy lifting. Thanks to Nick for providing such great entertainment!
I love the Irish. Wonderful people. My heritage is mostly Scottish (born and bred in Australia though) with a smidge of Irish and English thrown in there. Great video. That boat is lovely.
There's a RedBay (I'm guessing a 10.5 metre) based at St Mary's in the Scilly Isles and I went for a run on her about 5 years back when they cancelled our flight from the mainland and we managed to hitch a lift on her (well OK, we paid the owner :) ) from Penzance to St Mary's. Quite Spartan but my God, what a brilliant seaboat; I was seriously impressed. We weren't in the teeth of a gale or anything, but when you go boating out there you're genuinely in the Atlantic and you need something that will take care of you. She's mostly used for taking people out fishing and/or seeing the remoter islands and the biggest plus, as John Brennan says, is that if you're out somewhere and you have to get back you can do so, even if you have to ease back on the throttles a bit. Very impressed with John himself as well. He's not the only person to give serious thought to what he needs from a boat and to spec it accordingly, but he's done one of the most thorough jobs that I have seen. I really like the Irish, but I have to say that because, like Nick's Marianne, my partner is from the Emerald Isle :)
I love these 'meet the owner' segments you produce. So fascinating to learn about the owner's perspective, the why's and what's, their history with boating and so forth. Well done once again. Look forward to the next one.
John that was a brilliant interview. I was glued from start to finish. I seen u on rte but this shows ur passion for boating.
Charming owner and what a lovely, practical boat. Just the kind of boat that would get me on to the water.
And again, Nick did it in his very nice and charmy way: introducing us a very interesting owner and a great boat. Well done - stay tuned and all the best from Germany! I love these vids 😍!
Glad you enjoyed it!
this guy talks about boats with a passion i bet staying in his hotels customers have a similar experience.
What a boat. That'd be the perfect world cruiser, with a live aboard optimized layout that is.
You'd have to stop to fill up with fuel a lot...
Doesn't have the range
or the electrical power
I have watched this video three times now. What a charming, laid back and pragmatic guy John is. Thank you Nick for introducing us to him and also the boat which is stunning in every way. I have had the pleasure of a guided tour of the Redbay factory with the owner Tom McLaughlin several years ago. Another guy who is out of the same mould (so to speak) as John. Keep up the great videos.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic interview and tour. The boat manufacturer has an excellent brand ambassador.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@AQUAHOLIC John has been battling cancer unsure if it's beaten or a form that he did speak of on an interview managed so to speak.and reminds me of a former late uncle by marriage who was a sgt in the usa army before meeting and marrying my aunt. He battled for seventeen years an uphill battle against cancer humbly,,quietly,, and without bitterness however succumbed to the illness two years ago
John, is humble, inspiring, honest down to earth and a man of great magnanimity and intellect which has brought him to where he is today in life
If more people followed his lead and example in Ireland
The country would be one of the best in the universe
@@terencegorman4672 devastating to read of your wife being so ill
All i can do is add her to the list of those with cancer praying for God to heal or give the grace of a peaceful passing over to and the comfort and consolation of those left to grieve that they will feel the mighty hand of God the heavenly father wrapping them into his love

Easiest job you've ever had, Nick!!! I thought the owner was really engaging, relaxed and explained everything well with sound reasons for designing the boat as he had.. Would love to go and have a few hours on the boat chatting to a very interesting bloke.
What a lovely built boat, amazed how much space there was.
Loved the table, very nice.
What a nice man the owner John is....
A man I could listen to all day!
A brilliant boat and a lovely chap who loves his boat. But why wouldn’t you, it looks likes an amazing boat to cruise on! Thanks Nick!
Our pleasure!
Fantastic boat and a very likeable owner. I may have to sell my restaurant and get one of these (i can hear my wife mumbling something in the background). Another excellent tour, well done Nick.😊✔
Fantastic boat John. Many happy years of boating.
Both their hotels are now up for sale
@@corkboy4523 ......no way!
That's a shame. Probably be bought-up by some American conglomerate.
Well done & welcome to the Emerald Isle ☘️☘️☘️ - Can’t beat a Kerryman for knowing his mind & being able to annunciate it. 👍👍👍
He’s a sligo man though ;)
What a fantastic boat, and well presented by "yer man" , can't wait for the next vlog.
What a beautiful boat! There is so much thought that’s been put into this and the result is stunning.
Nice bloke and terrific boat. He's a very practical-thinking chap. Love the Meet the Owner vids!
I have absolutely no intention of ever owning a boat but I was glued to this from start to finish. John’s commentary was so full of clearly conveyed information and great to sea a boat capable of the heavy lifting. Thanks to Nick for providing such great entertainment!
Ah go on, buy one!!!
Love the Irish ,great practical layout.
Thank you. You buy a boat for your needs, not for the looks or the finish. Where we are one hand would count the options. Glad you enjoyed it.
Nick, great Video. John was superb 👏. Please, do a video 📹 on SafeHaven Marine and Thunderchild 2 and the other boats.
I love these 'meet the owner' segments you produce. So fascinating to learn about the owner's perspective, the why's and what's, their history with boating and so forth. Well done once again. Look forward to the next one.
what a lovely chap i've never been to Ireland but it looks absolutely stunning
what a fascinating boat...luv the 2nd Cabin.and the map engraved into the tabletop..
Understanding the reason behind the boat is invaluable. The man eliminated a lot of problems by building a simple functional boat
John that was a brilliant interview. I was glued from start to finish. I seen u on rte but this shows ur passion for boating. Nick ur videos keep getting better when u think there is no room for improvement. I was in Dartmouth, Kingswear and Brixham all as a result of watching your videos. Quality content guys much enjoyed 🤙
Wow I didn’t know red bay built this kind of boat. Went straight to their webpage to have a look at the range. Great video and very informative.
Another great video - very nice guy and boy can he talk - gotta love the Irish ☘️
Awesome… I mean, grand! What a grand boat! Super cool to see something like this on the channel!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Super interview. A privilege to see & hear. John is such a modest man deserving all his success. Long may it continue.
Great boat ,great host and a great part of the world
