A lot of people say Nergigante isn't as powerful as other Elders and isn't as "epic" for lack of a better word. But I think what makes him Elder and mystically powerful compared to a standard monster is his regeneration. This dragon might not be able to control elements or end civilisations, but it is literally Immortal. Every time it dies, it will eventually get back up stronger. The Hunter fights Nergigante several times across the whole of monster hunter world, even all the way through Iceborne. That whole time, it is ONE Nergigante. Not lots of a species, just one monster that gets back up every time we bring it down
The thing about Nergigante is that it's not actually an Elder Dragon. It is referred to as an Elder Dragon by technicality, but otherwise has none of the elemental powers that are commonly shared by Elder Dragons. Nergigante is basically the normal guy that one day desided to train so hard that he became able to trade blows with superpowered guys, like Garou from One Punch Man...
One thing i love about Nergigante is that even on the verge of death he becomes much more powerful and far more reckless, he’s like a sayian once they get a Zenaki boost they’ll will become much more stronger and will fight no matter what. He’s growing on me since i got back into the game
Honestly one of my favorite fights in MHW. The fact that this dragon is just made to fight you says a lot. Plus, as GS main, it’s really fun to have the heavy/slow weapon fight the fast and aggressive beast. Great dynamic.
Man I just love Nergigante, it’s my favorite monster in the franchise! On paper, it’s a lot more simple than most Elder Dragons, but looking further shows that it’s just as wild! To its lust for powerful bio energy, and it’s effects on the ecosystem! Even it’s life cycle is insane! Another thing about Nergigante is that it doesn’t have an element, it just fights with brute force and brute force alone, and yet even those like the mighty king of the winds, Kushala Daora, fall to it. Who needs elements, when you can just bash their heads in with your own fist!
Interesting tbought: despite being some sort of super-predator that hunts other elders, Nergi is covered in hard, sharp spines. Spikes and other similar types of armor are a feature primarily found in PREY animals.

The way he does that is by detachting his spikes, from which another Nergigante will begin to grow.
Considering how often he does that, well...
not every spike will eventually become nerg. it needs a special condition where the parent feeds off a high concentration of bio energy and transfering it to only one of the spike so its concentrated to one. the guild once try giving a nerg spike some bio energy, it started to grow as a zygot however the energy is not enough therefore it stops developing
@@welldone2312 Mh, i forgot that part, thank you.
I thought most babies don't develop or get eaten ...
Mh world first monster hunter I played and I fell in love with the series ever since
Dalamadur: aww that's cute *summons meteors*
Whooo!
I never thought the day would come where you would be talking about Nergigante! Wish came true!
Amazing short Dino! 🎉😂
Not lots of a species, just one monster that gets back up every time we bring it down
And despite all that, there is still one opponent who stands above the rest.
The hunter themselves.
Elder dragons are classified by them having "pure energy" on top of normal bioenergy and nerg has that.
THIS GUY IS MY FAVOURITE
I love his design a lot, too.
One thing i love about Nergigante is that even on the verge of death he becomes much more powerful and far more reckless, he’s like a sayian once they get a Zenaki boost they’ll will become much more stronger and will fight no matter what. He’s growing on me since i got back into the game
This is why he's my favorite spikey boi.
I too appreciate the symphonic metal cover by Falkonne.
I love that nergi element is just raw strength
Honestly one of my favorite fights in MHW. The fact that this dragon is just made to fight you says a lot. Plus, as GS main, it’s really fun to have the heavy/slow weapon fight the fast and aggressive beast. Great dynamic.
Such a badass dragon. No element or status, just straight up brute force!
One of my personal favorite monsters of all time and my favorite elder dragon.
I love his road and theme 😂😂
Essentially just garou in dragon form
Nergigante’s ultimate move: The Slap of God.
Love that music in the background
That dragon looks like a daddy
Man I just love Nergigante, it’s my favorite monster in the franchise! On paper, it’s a lot more simple than most Elder Dragons, but looking further shows that it’s just as wild! To its lust for powerful bio energy, and it’s effects on the ecosystem! Even it’s life cycle is insane! Another thing about Nergigante is that it doesn’t have an element, it just fights with brute force and brute force alone, and yet even those like the mighty king of the winds, Kushala Daora, fall to it. Who needs elements, when you can just bash their heads in with your own fist!
Nergi saw hunter’s building for Lvl 7 Attack Boost and Crit Eye and said “I want that”
Other elder dragons:Awwwww no elements how cute
Nergi:Atleast i can throw hands. *destroys them*
Thank you for showcasing one of my favorite MHW origin elderdragon. He is so much fun to fight.
One of my favorite elder dragons
Another Pronunciation for this Elder Dragon;
“Nurg-E-Gone-Tay”
thats the ingame pronounciation
I only started monster hunter but this one kinda makes me feel like the next games I'm playing is gonna be a pain in the ass
A rock reimagining of Midir’s theme is perfect for thos
I like the fact that the riders went "eh not strong enough" and proceeded to modify their genetics
This isnt Nergigante. This is Nigel, the Spiky friend
Darkeater Midir's theme playing is great
Love the Dark Souls track remix in the back, sounds amazing
Other elder dragons: uses elemental power
Nergigante: these fist are enought
The famous drive bomb. 💀💀⚰😂
Dont forget his regenerative abilities hes knows he has fast regeneration and cause of that he uses it as an advantage
The dark eater Midir theme fits this ferocious beast
Nature makes incredibly dangerous monster.
Also Nature making an even more dangerous monster to hunt that one.
Imagine having this Dude as a Familiar in a Isekai/Reverse Isekai Story.
Dark eater midirs ost fits so well with em
By far my favorite monster hunter monster
My group always called him "Nerdy Dirty Dante."
Gotta respect the Falkone heavy metal version of Dark Eater Midir's theme
I love the darksouls music behind it
Man i just love watching theese dragon facts
dude IMAGINE THIS MUSIC WHILE FIGHTING HIM
PLEASE MORE MONSTER HUNTER CONTENT I LOVE THIS SERIES
My go to baby in Monster Hunter stories 2 ❤
Dude is one of my favorite elder dragons in the entire series, right next to Alatreon, who's basically the avatar.
He is a kitty cat compared to most others. Lol
Interesting tbought: despite being some sort of super-predator that hunts other elders, Nergi is covered in hard, sharp spines.
Spikes and other similar types of armor are a feature primarily found in PREY animals.
One of my favorites to fight. Hes so cool
