      Went to brick and mortar got a mild cigar sampler pack. First one I tried was a Montecristo white series, has some bourbon to complement.

    I smoked my first cigar over 50 years ago, when I was maybe 11 years old. My dad had some Dutch Masters Presidents that were given to him; he was not a cigar smoker. So, I "borrowed" one of them, found a secluded place not far from my home, and lit it up. I was in Heaven. It had the most wonderful flavor I could have imagined. I've been a cigar guy ever since. IMO, nothing comes close to a cigar for pure smoking enjoyment.

      The great thing about cigars is when you see or think of a cigar you had you often connect it to a great memory or person that you had it with. Thanks for watching!

    Had my first cigar so long ago I can't recall the brand. I had given up cigarettes years before, but a friend offered me a cigar. All I recall was that it wasn't hand rolled, but something like a White Owl or Dutch Masters. It wasn't bad but didn't make me a cigar smoker, but it was years before I tried another cigar, this one a Cohiba from the Montecristo line. That was what finally got me into trying others and becoming a regular cigar fan.

    I brush my teeth and tongue with a light toothpaste and rinse well. Then I eat a cracker, or bread, or an apple to clear the feeling as well as drink some water before I smoke.

      Sounds very good, maybe try without the toothpaste... it can block your taste buds. Thanks for watching.

      Can't lie, I love cigars but you better be on point and brush more often then normal. especially with how you let cigar smoke stay in mouth to taste and retrohale, etc. it can be rough on your oral hygiene etc, I'm a 2 maybe 3 cigar a night guy. And i find it very helpful to brush between sticks and at the end of the night, it really cleanses your Platte like nothing else plus it's good to give yourself 15-20mins at least between sticks.

      I've been smoking cigars for 2-3 years, the best thing I did was I didn't bother getting a humidor right away and I suggest only buying a humidor if you just happen to get a really really good deal on one or something like that. I'm so glad I spent my first couple of years smoking cigars spreading my selection as wide as possible. I started with relatively cheaper cigars, but over time as I tried more cigars out I figured out a few things, what size cigars I like, what type of wrappers I typically go for. And as I grew my pallet I learned to appreciate the differences in a more expensive stick after having stuck with 2$, 3$ 4$ cigars, some of my friends mocked me for smoking cheap sticks, but honest to god I still enjoyed almost every single one of them, only one or two where actually unpleasant and guess what I didn't feel bad about putting it out after 3-4 mind because it costed me almost nothing now I have about half a dozen brands of cigars who I enjoy almost everything they make, and I have about a dozen "regular sticks" that I keep on hand and i can walk into a shop with a huge humidor and select something new to smoke with confidence because I've actually tried enough things to kind know what profile to expect based on the brand, leaf, size, country of import, etc etc and I can make recommendations for people theh typically enjoy take it slow and try everything you can

    Great video. I have been wondering are mild cigars lower in nicotine than full body so thanks 😊

    • @MardoCigars
      @MardoCigars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Generally, it can be the case but that doesn't mean you won't get your but kicked by a milder cigar. A lot goes into the blending of cigars and is really focused on the body it produces and how it balances flavor and strength. Not usually blended to have more or less nicotine. Just remember our tip if you feel like it may be too much slow down take a rest and have something with sugar in it to counteract the nicotine.

    Do you have any recommendations for women who are knrw to cigars? Not that gender matters i guess, but I know nothing about cigars and would like to start.

      Start off with a sampler of a brand that way you can get a feel for what you prefer. Jake Wyatt Cigar Co. has a fantastic flavor profile while being mild to medium in strength, would be a great place to start! Thanks for watching!

      Go into a local shop and say exactly that I am sure they would help you pick out something great for a beginner! If they have Jake Wyatt that's a great brand to start with, smooth and creamy and great for a beginner and loved by aficionados!
