I love how consistent they are with Rock & Metal concept/ sound while trying to fit to both Rock & K-Pop lover music taste out there. I can see Rock genre slowly became a trend again in K-Pop Industry, which is a good thing. From Pink Fantasy 'Poison', Gidle 'Tomboy', Kepler 'We Fresh', Rolling Quartz, Xdinary Heroes etc.
Rolling Quartz are not a kpop group and not part of the kpop industry though. They are literally a rock band.

Read my comment carefully next time..I'm not that idiot to not being able to differentiate between a group & a band...beside, I'm a Metalhead myself so I know better. I understand that K-Pop is not a genre, it is a music industry where all Korean artist from various genre reside under one umbrella, be it a solo artist, a group or a band. If Rolling Quartz is not a part of K-Pop Industry, they won't be able to perform in Music Show, Inkigayo, MusicCore and all other K-Pop oriented variety.

I'm a metalhead too, grew up to korn, megadeth, dio, etc. I was just saying cus you proceeded to name rock influenced kpop songs and groups and put Rolling Quartz in the middle of them xD It was just an observation ahah
@@29_jonn and so does Xdinary Heroes, they not a group. It's a band, a Pop Rock band formed in 2021. I called it a trend because the Rock genre appeared everywhere in K-Pop industry nowadays more often. Both Xdinary Heroes & Rolling Quartz still considered as K-pop artist no matter what. Why? Because K-pop is not a genre, it's an industry. It's like how we look at 'Anime' term, it's Japanese Animation Industry with a lot of form & genre under it, be it in a form of 2D, 3D or stop motion animation. They all called 'Anime'. It's the same with 'K-Pop' term in South Korea, just don't let the' POP' word fool you..haha!. Just because RQ is a full pledged Heavy Rock band, doesn't mean that they're not a part of the trend. Besides, Dreamcatcher is their role model which is a girl group with Rock & Metal influence. They even include Dreamcatcher cover in their album, a proper cover. Dreamcatcher started it all, and others will follow. If that is not a trend, then I don't know what it is. Oh btw, I just discovered Rockit Girl. A Duo turned Soloist that has been around since 2019 and consistent with Pop Rock element in her discography, quite an underrated 4th Gen K-pop artist I must say. All the artist I've mentioned in the list also 4th Gen K-pop artist.
I can't even begin to explain how proud I am of them. They're flexing their rock and vocal muscles, while all three rappers make an appearance. InSomnia might be lifting them up, but they should know, they are also carrying us. Happy 6th anniversary, Dreamcatcher!

I wouldn't be surprised if the animations were done by a fan, I seem to recognize the style. Whoever did them, they did a great job. I see the book from the Nightmare arc, the mask from Scream, the gun from R.o.S.E Blue, the gagged bust from Boca, the cup from Odd Eye, the hand through the mirror from Good Night and the clock from Piri.
Musically, I am in heaven. I'm a metalhead and I love the song. AND THAT RIFF! 🤘🎸 Obviously the song is an absolute anthem!

Between idols in kpop industry, Dreamcatcher is actually quite well known. It's just the general public don't really know them, I think mostly because their music genre which is kinda niche in SK. I know there are some rock bands in Korea but mostly they are not in the mainstream industry, unlike Dreamcatcher. On the opposite, they gained fame in other countries mainly because of that genre.

It is sad that Koreans don't love them they way international fans do. They win awards outside the country, but took 5 years to get a music show award. They just won the Hanteo Music Award for Global Artist in North America. They know who their fans are and where they are which is why they're touring in the US next month again. They take good care of InSomnia and we take good care of them.
Don't be sad. It's not that Koreans don't love them, they just don't know them. Most people don't even know the name Dreamcatcher. But now it's becoming more and more known,
I honestly think they're coming back to the US too soon and at the wrong time of the year. The turn out isn't looking quite as good. We are the brokest after the holidays here in the US and many of us are still waiting for tax returns to fund stuff like concerts. And this year is looking like a very competitive year for kpop concerts with many other groups planning to take our money. lol
@@somnia.diadem There's no reason to be sad, they're doing well. They were able to have a concert in Seoul which is more than the vast majority of groups could ever dream of. There's too many talented groups with amazing songs, that will die unnoticed, not from a lack of effort. Look at EXID, they could have easily been a forgotten group, salvaged by a viral fancam. There's at least a dozen group that I still don't understand why they never caught on. It's really a miracle when a group catches any success in this industry.
I've been Insomnia since Scream era and went to their concert in London last November, it was the best day ever getting to see them and I'm also in the video but can barely be seen

Wait, Boss.. you went to their concert? Now i'm envious of you cus i didn't know about them when they came to my country (in the Fly High Tour in 2018). Dreamcatcher has been my favorite group for about 3 years now and seeing them getting more famous warms my heart. They are always told that they can't be famous in kpop because of their rock sound, but they still do it anyway cus it's what they love and they still managed to get 2 music show wins with the song Maison. They recently renewed their contracts with Happyface, so they are not going anywhere anytime soon. I hope they get more fans in Korea though. Thank you for the reaction and i hope you'll be able to react to their next comeback (probably will be after the US tour).

yeah I also think one day they'll be more common for Korean public. they're already close with Eunbi, one of the most faved member in her past group, also getting along with Hayoung Jiwon from fromis9 which is under pledis and if I'm not wrong pledis already be a subsidiary of HYBE.. even Yeji as reportedly the most biased member in itzy also aware of dreamcatcher (at least based on the effect of Siyeon's iconic act on live).
and hopefully connection with Twice OhMyGirl (G)I-DLE will help them a bit too
Actually fun fact Gahyeon and Dahyun use to be classmates (Dahyun even mentioned it during Vlive) , went to Lotte World together and take a lot of pics when they promoted at the same time and there’s even videos of them chatting during ISAC (Olympics but for idols). And for Gidle Handong is actually pretty close to a lot of Chinese speaking idols, she has had a friend date with Xiaoting (Kep1er), Shuhua (GIDLE), and Tzuyu (TWICE). Also SuA and Yuqi are pretty close. Yuqi is fond of SuA and really likes her . There’s a lot more Friendcatcher, I just don’t think a lot of people know Dreamcatcher actually knows a lot of idols. I definitely recommend searching it up, for anyone curious.
