Great video as always Chris. nearly lost an eye with that wee coley though.😂 Gutted the weather up here has really limited our time on the water so far this summer. look forward to the next video.
It’s the little ones you’ve got to watch out for! 🤣. The weather has been a real pain hasn’t it. The wind started about a year ago and it hasn’t really stopped since then! Fingers crossed for a settled spell 🤞
You should try around shields pier its closed to fishing just now Id love to see you fish around the big blocks theres some big Pollock come out of there!
I'm gonna try and get out there in the next week or so - had a canny session on the wrecks there last year but my Gopro went bang and I lost all the footage!
Good to see you out and about again. Once again, good fish and good species count too. Have finally managed to get out myself, the joy of being on the sea! Best wishes Kevin
Great footage. I was fishing for Mackerel at Newbiggin Beacons today and the on shore winds was making casting from the rocks difficult. I'd like one of those Kayaks but got sea sick as a kid fishing from a boat so has put me off that style of fishing.
Brilliant day out Chris. When you first said you very rarely catch wrasse on the metals, I thought watch him go and get a couple 😂. Good variety of fish plus some good stamp codling to boot. Till next time, tight lines. Arthur
I know you could guarantee it couldn’t you! I might declare I never catch 20lb cod on them next time! It was a thoroughly enjoyable day out mind. The weather wasn’t too bad in the end 🎣
Not in any real numbers mate. The odd one or two from the shore in the summer but that’s it really. Have to go south or west to have a proper chance. Back in the day I used to catch loads off the hot water outflow pipe from Blyth power station but they knocked it down in the late 90s I’m glad you enjoyed the vid, tight lines pal 👍🎣
I've just got my kayak ready for some sea fishing. I live in county Durham and am now trying to find good locations with easy launching. I see you said you launched off the beach, how far away is the parking? Thanks
Hi ya . I was fishing today off Redcar and my garmin echomap65 +cv started to play up traditional sonar just showing spaced out vertical lines. But the clearview sonar is working OK. Have you or anyone got any idea's???
I’d only be guessing mate - sounds like it could be air though? The clearVu filters out a lot of the interference so it’s possible? Other than that I wouldn’t know. How was the fishing?
Best fishing videos on TH-cam. Enjoy watching them . Thanks
Thanks very much David I’m glad you’re enjoying the content!
Tight lines pal 👍🎣
"Flies all getting off with each other on my box" 😂😂 killed me. Great video as always! Thoroughly enjoyable
Dirty buggers! 🤣 I’m glad you enjoyed it mate 👍🎣
Great to see you back out again mate. My favourite "on the water" channel, Top Man!
Thanks very much mate, there’s plenty of fish around at the mo isn’t there! 👍🎣

It was a lush day Kevin, I’m glad you’ve managed to get out at last! 👍🎣
Was out of Amble yesterday and today-zero codling fished out to 100ft..plenty small coalies and some decent macks, best nearly 2lb !
There’s been some chunky mackerel around this year! They started off quite small but the bigger ones weren’t to far behind them 🎣
Made my day Chris, always glad when you put a video up, cheers mate. 👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
Cheers Glen mate, I hope you enjoy it! 👍🎣

I’ve got a few mates that just take a sea sickness tablet before they go out 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing haven't tried tablets for sea sickness, thanks for the advice, ATB
Cracking video as always Chris 👍🏻 a nice wee mix of fish & a few nice codling 🎣💪🏻 well done sir 👏🏻💪🏻🎣

Cheers Arnie mate, it was a bit blowy at times but a proper fun day out 👍🎣

It was lush Stuart, bit windy at times but loads of fun 👍🎣

Good job
Cheers mate 👍🎣
Nice session. For small fish like that I just grab the hook shaft and use the weight of the fish to dislodge the hook..no need to handle most of them
Yes it was a canny day, they all went away strong as well 👍🎣
Nice been waiting on this many thanks
Hope you enjoy it mate 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing Loved it as always thank you
Great video as always, keep them coming
Cheers Mike, I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍🎣
Hi Chris hope you ok mate enjoyed your video as usual haven't been well last couple of months ok now so can't wait to get out there
Oh mate, hope you’re over the worst of it now. Bet you’re raring to go! There’s fish all over at the moment 👍🎣
Great film as per usual mate. 👍🏻

Thanks mate, I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. There’s loads of fish if you can get over the rough stuff- tight lines pal 🎣
Amazing
Cheers pal 👍🎣
Do you not get any bass around your way? Dunno if I've ever seen you catch any great video 🎣👍

The car park is right on the beach - dead easy launch but very busy with tourists in the summer so go early to be sure you get a parking spot 👍🎣
How do you attach your lures to line? I’m sick of tying knots when changing lures
I just use snap swivels Gavin 👍🎣
How did you cut the end of the rod to shorten it?
With a Junior hacksaw mate 👍

Just what the hell is funny
Just turn the volume down John, put some tunes on 😊
Nicest guy on the internet. Nice change
Thanks mate, what a nice thing to say! Hope you enjoyed the vid 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing100%. Passion for it and always complete respect for the fish regardless if you’re taking a few home or not
