My Silverado A/C compressor failed yesterday and I found this channel. Very nice presentation, thorough and easy to understand

Just recharged mine. Didn’t replace as much as you did but I did high side schrader, orifice tube and vacuumed it down for 45 minutes and put 25 oz of refrigerant. Blowing at 48 degrees. Not great but not horrible. 2006 Duramax

It was great that you give wrench sizes for each fastener!
    Great video.

I just did my 2016 and the GM compressor said it has 1.3oz of oil in it. Mine doesn’t have an accumulator it has a condenser dryer/receiver. So that may be why it says only 1.3oz. After heavy digging I found that the whole system requires 6.1oz. I dumped out the oil in new compressor to balance it and literally two drops came out no matter how much I turned it. I was only able to get it to take maybe half an ounce. Confusing indeed. Maybe some kind of secret of pouring oil out of newer compressors? Point being never trust what the paper says. Always measure it.
