    She said the house is her only source of income. She said she doesn't know how she's going to make it financially.... She was hauling out items so she must not be physically disabled. She needs to get a job. She just wants to live off the rent check from a house which has plastic on the windows.....there isn't an excuse for what the tenant did.

      Yup i hate those type of landlords that just want to live off of their tenants. I have come across landlords who do that in my state, and if they do have a job, its a pathetic part time job that they have that wont cover any big expenses for their house., or maybe they collect a pension from their full time job they used to work.

    I have a business working for property managers. The worst unit in my 10 plus years was a Dr. as a renter with I'm sure a GREAT credit score. So you better understand I had to use a rake And snow shovel to remove all the pet waste. Also 3 rollaway dumpsters (the largest ones) for the trash company.

    Why weren't regular inspections done?? People rent out their house collect rent every month and assume all is well.....??? They don't give a crap about the house. Stay on top of what is going on inside and outside your property. Make it part of the rental agreement. As long as the amount of notice is legal you are good to go. At least you can be aware of damage as it happens and deal with it then. I see so e houses that are totally destroyed. The owners have to take responsibility for that as well. Don't trust anyone with your biggest investment and don't rent to friends. Keep it strictly business.

    i manage about 10 lease homes in Houston. tenants are getting worse. about 70% are OK but the bad ones are real dirt bags. they treat the houses worse than a motel room. its not theirs so they live like animals. red flags on calls you get are: we live now with our parents, the last owner we leased from sold the house they were renting, meaning that owner evicted them. Ive become pretty good at vetting them but in the long run you have to choose someone and take a chance. make sure you personally record the judgement. most courts, lawyers seem to forget to do that. the world is upside down now. i suggest watching the movie pacific heights.

      No, what the main problem is it's that landlords do not want to pay that extra money to do an intense background check on these people. If they would spend an average of about $75 to $100 they could really find out what kind of people they're getting.

      i rent out to and got a bad one ..but in a country of 5 mill people ,they gonna end up on the bad list ,and cant escape the past ..so no more renting from the private marked ,,and a mark on the credit that just building up ..,today we need personal info so we can check them out

      Landlords get no sympathy from me. Most landlords are no good. No one forced landlords to rent out property. I've never met an honest landlord. Most are irresponsible never fix anything. This is why they're unuversally hated.
      Landlords have robbed me and lied to me. If they can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.
      Most landlords want money they never work for. They prey on the poor and exploit them.
      All for money.

    And that is why I prefer to invest in index funds and REIT funds where I do not have to deal with anyone. Gosh, I hate people.

    You want to make it look nice, but it looks like it hasnt see a paint brush in 15 years. I bet you just put the effort in to get it rented and never any effort to even go there and check on the property. Annual inspections are important.

    I was proud of where I lived when I first moved in my landlord has not done anything in 14 years that means not even clean the gutters nothing maintain the furnace nothing there's a sticker from 1995 and it's section 8 approved and they're not on my side cuz when they tell him to fix the roof and he does not they'll do what they did to me the last time but I had two kids the last time what they do is they say you have to move. Cuz it's broke and he's not going to fix it and then they don't make him fix it and they kick you out in your ass in the street and then you're homeless with one leg and then they run it out to someone else cuz they're never going to make them fix mother* nothing! And the way the housing market is now if you're out on your ass like I'm about to be there's nowhere to live you can't find an apartment but I can't physically move anyway so what am I supposed to do be nice before I leave I'm losing my section 8 anyway so what's the difference I'll have nowhere to live so if I trash the place and I'm in jail then I'll have a place to f****** live

    I guarantee you this lady went to one of them get-rich-quick scheme seminars and was told buy real estate rented it out and sit back and watch the money come in. What they failed to tell you at them seminars is if you got rental property you got to be vigilant with your property.

    I wish I had a landlord that was nice respected me and I can be nice to them and everything would be happy. But they're not nice to me they don't care if I'm living in a leaky slum and I'm not going to be nice I'm going to fight for my life

    Well I'm on the other side and I have no faith in landlords.. I would be so happy just to have a good landlord where I could go and live the rest of my life and not have to put up with roofs that leak crackheads for neighbors upstairs selling crack all the crap I've been through being threatened by people who just got out of prison that sell crack because they can get Section 8 right away it's the law there's some pretty screwed up laws but that's one of them if you're a drug addict you're on the top of the list I I can't believe the way the things are but that's not the way Section 8 was supposed to be or HUD and I would still be so freaking happy I'd be ecstatic to have a decent landlord that cared and ever came over and asked me if something needs to be fixed cuz they never did. I fear every time the HUD inspector comes that they're going to do what they did last time say something's broke the landlord gets mad and then he makes you pay for heat in the middle of the winter and then he has friends in the city and he has the City attorney and you got it stuck up your ass like I did well if there's nothing else I can do for this landlord if he does not fix my roof I won't leave it looking that good I've been a good time I keep my house clean I do my dishes I don't even have any pets yeah the rug is pretty worn I've lived here 14 years the one where I spent most of my time in the living room. When people so rugs with stains and you don't know how long they lived there you don't know if it's normal wear and tear or not but it doesn't matter anyway cuz when you're on Section 8 they allow the landlord to steal your security it doesn't matter how nice you left it like the last place I was they got the City attorney to screw me over and they were in there talking to the judge before I even went in there cuz I sued them to get my freaking security back there's some really bad things that happened to people that are on Section 8 I don't have any year by year lease I get a freaking month by month lease I have no security and I can't move cuz I got one leg I got nobody to help me how am I going to move I want to move. I don't have the funds to move anyway but I can't physically move myself it's really bad the situation I'm in right now I'm thinking if I'm in jail I'll have a place to live that's what I'm thinking cuz I'm about to be homeless in the winter near Buffalo New York nobody deserves what happened to me 14 years call your landlord he says he sending Dale over to look at it what Dale's retarded and he's not even a roofer and Dale is the one that told me to move if I don't like it get a job and am I stoned that's what I got when I said the roof was leaking the same day they came and fixed the roof supposedly the scabbers these aren't roofers these aren't people with the sign these aren't bonded these are pieces of s*** roofers I think they actually put a hole in the other side on purpose cuz it wasn't leaking there until they were up there it was leaking on the other side into my bathroom now it's leaking between the kitchen and the living room and nobody gives a s*** cuz I'm on Section 8 don't put me out on my ass and they can run it out in one day cuz there's nowhere to live and they're not going to fix the roof so what do I do about s*** like that? Am I supposed to be nice and leave it really nice when I leave it wasn't really nice when I moved in! When I looked at my apartment there was no hole in the door when I came to move in there was cuz this retarded landlord leads the f****** house wide open in between tenants he will not even be there when a tenant looks at the apartment upstairs he just leaves the doors open cuz he's retarded my landlord's agent is ignorant! I will use what he wrote to me to sue him for harassment because that in New York is a serious crime to harass tenants cuz I said he does a crummy job and he never fixed anything right ever and they just got done putting a floor in my bathroom and it's two inches from the wall and the guy that was doing it was bitching the whole time they didn't say hey come look at it they just left cuz I was sitting in my living room these people are pieces of dirt nobody that works for my landlord is trained or anything they're all a bunch of high school dropout drug addicts that's what they are

    I'd I'd really like to know the comparison of bad tenants that trash the place to slumlords who cause them to hate them and make them homeless for no reason other than asking to have something fixed I'd like to see way more news people going in to Section 8 HUD slums where people who pay taxes pay for people to live in uninhabitable conditions and they pass it cuz they Overlook things at Section 8 they do not look at things and if you complain they will make you homeless like they're doing to me it's coming soon and I'm going to start making my own videos cuz I'm really really angry and I don't want to leave the house in a nice condition when I'm homeless and I lost my section 8

    Take pics of the damages go to small claims court and get judgement for damages then attach their paycheck or bank account or incontax return with the judgment the marshal will collect the payment every month the tenants has to pay Marshall fees

      It all depends on the state. For example in the state of Texas they can only garnish your checks for back taxes student loans and child support and that's it

    landlords need to stop whining if you dont do home inspections at least 2 to 3 times a year its yourown fault plus do drive bys to see if the yard is clean and the porch is good also the nosey assed neighbors called to snitch while they moved but didnt call one time the 3yrs the people lived there to complain about stuff.
