jakegiraffe just use the trap lokator googel thing and non off your teampokemon can ever aktivate traps unless you walk on them wat dont happen if you let the autopilot run you down the dungeon ps you could even make artifactal monsterrooms with the items to pokemon trap just spray some projektiles everywhere and your set ps ironicly many monsterrooms have this trap to destroy your loot if you dont watch for traps
Munch Belt can be equipped to any Pokemon in your party. I usually give it to the second Pokemon in my team - who ideally has some ranged moves - and the downside doesn't matter at all as far as I can tell. Even when the belly is empty, the statboost remains and it doesn't take damage. So it's basically a 30% increase to Atk/SpAtk for free.
I think you are severely underrating the efficient bandanas. In much more difficult dungeons like silver trench, ethers are rare, and elixirs are nonexistant. tl;dr, efficient bandanas are VERY helpful when you are running out/don't want to use ethers
100%, I'd rate it A tier. Fantastic item, great if you want to leave your room clearer to go the other way too. He can pretty much do what he wants all dungeon.
I have my partner wear this and send him on his own to kill everything and maybe find the stairs. It saves me soooo much in elixirs especially cause I horde those suckers
@@JamUsagi What like squeeze out? That’s nowhere near as good as the efficient bandana. It only recovers 1pp and for me is rare when it happens. For how rare it happens it should recover 2. I mean u can combine both and your basically set I guess (u can get a pp back and then use it and not use said pp u just got) but comparing these 2 efficient bandana is a million times better. Now I know theirs another 1 I believe that makes it so when u ko a Pokémon it will sometimes restore pp but that crap is rare af. I mean I’ve never even heard of it until recently and I’m on my 2nd playthrough. I only found out about it online. Also theirs so much better rare qualities and u can just stock up on elixers and ethers. Steamroll for example beats any item. And yea I know this is a year old but meh.

With a move that hits room-wide it’s just broken because each pokemon defeated with a single move will give 1 PP, so you can just spam it and win. And since you don’t need room for Elixirs, you can pack more food, Orbs and Wands to get out of any bad situation.
Man, I was really shocked when I saw Tight Belt as an “A” rank. I still have the original game, and in that, once I got the tight belt, I never used other held items again on my main pokemon except in very situational uses
What I'll mention here is some of the differences between this and the original that make belly slightly less important: Perfect apples exist and are (somewhat) common, and there are many rare qualities like food finder, small stomach, and leave half that make hunger less of an issue (and are easier to get than any IQ skill counterparts that may exist). Still a GREAT item, but slightly less so than in the original.

Back in the original Rescue Team games I really preferred using the Tight Belt. The extra inventory from not having to worry about Apples and Big Apples was pretty handy, but to each their own.
@@p0kem4rc0s2 I know this is like over a year old, but I found one way to get them, although you need to be lucky. Purity Forest can sometimes spawn Tight Belts on the floor. And if you manage to find an Escape Orb in the dungeon, you can use that to keep tge Tight Belt and any other items you find in your Purity Forest run. I managed to find two Tight Belts doing this since I was having exceptionally bad luck finding any Reviver Seeds, so I used the Escape Orb to run away so I at least got something for my efforts.
Efficient bandana held by the partners in the 99F dungeons is a pretty solid strat, especially useful in meteor cave as you’ll be using the max elixirs on yourself more often than having to burn 3 every few floors there. I’d say B at the lowest.
I find Goggles Specs to be S tier in my eyes cause Traps are way worst then you think, for one thing you can lose the effect of hold items from a sticky trap including the godly X-ray Specs, that can screw you over so badly and to make matters worst there are apple trap that can turn powerful items into apple meaning that effected item is gone for good and don’t get me started on the random trap. Another thing that sucks is losing your Mega/Awaking from certain traps since certain status ailments shuts it down and you don’t want to lose it in a difficult dungeon like Wish Cave.
I laughed out loud when you straight noped when you arrived at explosive bandana xD I can agree on that! I mean is there even a merit to that item? Or maybe a troll item from the devs :D
So there’s a Rare Quality called Blast Control that reduces the damage taken from explosion to 5 I believe, so those can be used together since enemies will still take damage from the explosion, still not worth it though
You could also throw it at enemies and attack at a distance to crowd control them. Also maybe useful if you want a lot of support moves and won’t have room for a CC move.
Use blast control and grassy terrain with long distance moves. Snipe anyone from afar and anyone does DMG up close they blow up and you heal it off no issue
Pretty good list. I agree with pretty much everything. Also the Efficient Band from my playing has a much better working rate than PP Pouch, but of course Max Elixirs/Ethers are dirt common in most dungeons anyways.
Very curious to a Purity Forest tier list of items and abilities and rare qualities. Ive found that a scizor with Tactician and move up and a Fierce band (lucky) is pretty strong, as it will make your attacks almost one shot every Pokemon.
I would have put Mobile scarf at A, because you can just so easily walk into a wall and lose 5 entire hunger for it. Do that 4 times and 20 hunger are gone. Sure, the utility is great, but i am not risking 4 missteps potentially causing me to die off hunger
I might need to use the Pierce Band + Vitamin hack to boost up my team for the post-game. It's definitely getting hard quite quickly and levelling up ain't cutting it. The mechanics of these games truly are quite different to the mainline series
I actually liked the warp scarf, I beat zero island east with it. I could not have done it without it. Sure I had better items with me like mobile and pass- but if I relied only on those I'd run out of food too quickly. warping around, using moves like a tm taught protect to avoid direct combat, giving me enough time to warp away if needed. until I show up to the room with the stairs, look around, switch to a pass band- and voila- next floor. rince and repeat for all 40 floors.
for eevee a early special band is everything it needs really (especualy with swift a move eevee starts with becomes very powerfull and a staple move in even early post game)
Anyone know where to find the piece band? Can it be obtained outside of purity forest? I have tons of x rays and googles, got the other rare scarfs, only have to get jirachi left, and nearly max stat boosted my main team and still haven’t found one.
I'd say, the efficient bandana deserves a better ranking, as it is quite usefull for longer dungeons and/or for pokemon with losts of ranged attacks that they are going to use more often

I really like Super PMD but haven't played DX. I know they each have their own mechanics, but what do you think DX does better? I played PMD Blue back in the day, so I know this is like a remake
I think the recruitment and mission systems are much better in DX, while Super had a better cohesive story. The much larger screen also helps, as I felt the 3DS pmd games were very claustrophobic.
You know what, I bet the Fickle Specs would work with Linked moves, I never thought about that. If it does work, I'd put it equal to the Heavy Rotation Specs

Trap Scarf absolutely deserves its spot though because then you basically have to have it on the leader for it to matter. But goggle specs... Just give it to a teammate, swap between your pokemon and know where traps are without even moving. There's no detriment at all when it comes to swapping pokemon (except perhaps when speed shenanigans are involved). This video did teach me just how puny the Fierce Bandana's stat bonus is though so that's nice. Will definitely start subbing it out for something else.

It’s an item you need to keep held though. There are RQs that do the same thing better, and held items which are much more useful.

Goggle Specs are my fav held item to use in 99F (Super Difficult) dungeons along with X-Ray specs at times as well!
There's no way to lose in a dungeon if u're a ghost with x ray, maybe with hunger, but u already know where can be all the apples

imagine finding a joy seed or gummies, then u got attacked by surprise and boom, all those items now are gone

Warp Scarf and pass scarf are invaluable for solo dungeons/runs. Purity Forest for instance. But that's a pretty special case.

In dungeons after the final boss the enemies won’t be shown, before that though the X-Ray specs are useless
