oh man this is awesome i have the same plane but i put a fpv unit on it , how did you make the pontoon landing gear? do you have any pictures? or part list .
It was simple, I used a spare set of Eflite Air Tractor floats and spare set of Slow Stick landing gear that I mounted on the fuselage tube behind the wing. I simply took the wheels off the gear and mounted the floats to the axles. I rigged up some line from the tail gear to the water rudders for steering. I'm about to remove the floats and mount a DJI 03 unit on it for FPV.
Hey how you doing TNT! I finally got the SUS working with the FC but I totaled it right there at this pond lol. Appreciate your help, the receiver you linked worked great 👍 I just had too many flight modes setup and couldn't keep track of them.
@@CaliforniaOutdoorsman thats good to hear , i started with just a few modes then added more as i got more comfortable with the flying hopefully you had some fun !

I'm not bothering with spoileron or flaperon or any of that, the elevator should be enough to STOL.. so the added camera weight was not helping 😅

shouldve used the Hobby Zone floats. Those are overkill for this little bird.
I had those on first, they were horrible. Ground loop like crazy and there's no way to mount them with the step in the right place for the cg
I HATE these FPV vids - way, way overdone and useless for seeing (actual) flight characteristics.
I thought I explained the entire flight pretty well ✌️
