    Putin isnt a calculating man
    Europe needs oil for its gigantic economy
    Russia is the nearest route that could cover all of Europe: Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Europe
    Desperation made them turn a blind eye to his revanchist machinations
    His population was for decades used to bread lines for meager rations...anything was better than Soviet and post-Soviet turmoil
    He leveraged Russias status as a gas-station to fool Russias population into thinking he was some genius economist while taking advantage of Europes need for oil
    It doesnt require intense calculation
    The fact that Russias economy is smaller than Italys and that Russias adult males have the lowest life expectancy in all of Europe is all you should know about Putin's "genius"

      No he didn't. But in his defense, neither did anyone else in any other country in the world. _Every_ world leader (except Zalinski, whom nobody had ever heard of) believed that the war would be over in about 3 to 5 days. Nobody would have expected NATO and the west to band together. Some US sanctions on Russia, sure, that happens (and is ignored) every time Putin takes over a hunk of some other country. But the people in the west DOING something about it? That has been completely unheard of, going back to at least 1945. Who in their right mind would have even considered the possibly for two seconds without contemptuously dismissing it?
      It just turned out that he was wrong, Ukraine had built up a pretty good military (that they didn't at all have in 2014, the last time Putin dealt with them) and they were willing to defend their country. Even more surprisingly, other countries were willing to give them military aid, in more than just the words that they normally would have given. None of that was to be expected by anyone. Heck, the US President had pretty much said that Russia could do whatever it wanted and the US would not take notice. Why on earth would Putin have expected that to suddenly change by 180 degrees? Even the people in the US didn't expect that.

    • @raulrio1087

      Well these so called NATO countries and other sanctioned Russia which led to high fuel, energy and food prices. Who are the loosers?

    • @lwilton
      @lwilton ปีที่แล้ว

      @@raulrio1087 Who are the loosers? Everybody. That is how it _always_ works with sanctions. The question is not "who is being hurt" (everyone), but "how much is each group being hurt". If the sanctions are working, the target of the sanctions should be hurting more than the people placing the sanctions. But sanctions take a LONG time to have any effect. Months at best to years under most conditions. It isn't instant like the politicians and news media are telling you.
      A lot of the inflation we are seeing all over the world has nothing to do with any sanctions, despite what your brother and the news media told you. The inflation is a direct result of the COVID business, and the various governments giving stimulus payments to all and sundry. Governments don't create money. They only move it around. The people create money, which the government takes from them and redistributes. When the government tells everyone they can't work for a year, but pays them the same amount anyway, that money has to be paid. It will be paid later by the people, in the form of increased costs for everything. Which is what inflation is.

      Russia is no longer a 'Communist' Country. So no, this is no longer correct. It hasn't been since the late nineties. It was given a chance and set up as a democracy after the break up of the Soviet Union. It's an oligarchy. Still technically a democracy despite Putin having hijacked it using any and all means to stay in power. Communism does not have the super wealthy running the country the way Russia does or the USa for that matter though perhaps less so or less obviously so.. And then said to his troops off you go what kind of reaction would he have had. This very factor proves it is not going to plan so he is not even that good at adding up the pluses and minuses of an action. No military would start an operation knowing that cost would build up so fast for so little gain. He also failed in the understanding of why the Ukrainians might resist. To someone with no empathy it is a no brainer the future losses on the Ukrainian side should have made them go straight to the negotiating table but they have not because there is more life that what can I get out of it. He is anyhow safe in his bunker, stolen some more land and will not lose any money himself so he will see it as a win for him not Russians he could not give a dam for them they are just his means to an end. Why anyone would give this excuse for a man adulation is beyond me. I prefer those who have a soul and care about other people. The one positive is people like Putin are always alone and scared someone will take what they have so end their days in a paranoid madness.

    Better look at the Astroligical analysis I made of Putin in another footage. He has 2 children of his first wife, 2 of his mistress, has 178 cars or more, a billion dollars yacht escaping quickly from a german or holland harbour, has a palace, highly protected mansion which 'he does not live in' , he says, highly protected, has billions of rubles and dollars on his account, is the far most richest person in Russia, behaves like a Tzar and wants to finish his career by restoring the old USSR empire , but he is a guy , grown up in the suburbs or Leningrad from a poor family , living in a poor appartment, living on the streets like a stray dog and wants to control the world as the tzars before him and would not hesitate to put the world on fire for his own glory and to stay in power. A narcist of the worst kind who will bring Russia into misery and shame with his ultra nationalist speeches which are nothing else but fascist propaganda. That is the man we are dealing with , no conscience, no pity at all, a mass murderer and trouble maker, a mad dog of the old generation of KGB origin , a spy in former East Germany etc etc A vicious and extemely narcist psychopath who understands only the power of force an oppression and destruction like in Syria, Tjechia and Georgia but Ukraine ... that is the end of him and his regime .

      The Russian speaking separatist movement is a wholly owned creation of Russian special operations. There was some friction and resentments between the Ukrainian and Russian speaking parts of Ukraine that permitted this separatist project to succeed, but now support for Russia among Russian speaking Ukrainians has been nearly erased. The reason for this is that the Russian invasion has specifically obliterated the infrastructure of the Russian parts of Ukraine, and now the people there know that "liberation" by Russia has meant annihilation of their cities and farms and the killing and deportation of many thousands of their people. By the way, Zelensky grew up as a native Russian speaker. Ukrainian is a second language for him. This is a demonstration of just how bogus the "oppression of Russian speakers in Ukraine" really is.
