Thank you for your review. We have a 2015 RX350 with 153K miles and zero maintenance issues other than brakes. Yes the tech is outdated but the reliability is over the moon. I drive a 2011 LS460 Sport option, that I bought used with 16K miles and it now has 144k miles with zero maintenance other than brakes. We are trading the RX in this week on a 2021 RX450H L-Certified. In 2012 we bought a new X5, loaded with features. You mentioned them in your review but failed to comment on maintenance. On our way home from the dealer, the transmission went out and the car had to be trucked back. The transmission was replaced. After that incident, the X5 became a maintenance problem with other items. I loved the way it handled and drove. Yeah, the bumper to bumper warranty cover the issues, up to 50K miles. At 55k we traded it on the RX350 and have never looked back. I will take Lexus reliability over tech any day. I do appreciate your review.
Thank you for the review, I really like the camera position while you were driving, I could see how much space it was from your stomach to the steering wheel, I was thinking about getting the RX 350L but I wasn’t sure if I could fit in it comfortably, but I see now I can fit just fine. Great video, thanks.
did you end up getting the L version? i'm thinking of sticking with Lexus. The third row is for once a week when we have lunch with grand parents. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or just go with a different car / van.
@@txGarage Do you have a good explanation vid of how the non plug in powertrain works? My neighbor just bought a non plug in(2021) and it is as quiet as a mouse.. Thanks
hello from Scotland! Great video man, I am a big Lexus fan myself! I had the standard RX and it was a great car! I also have a video of a UK spec RX L if you wish to see it? :)
I know this is a wee bit late now. Im in the market for a used 450HL anyways. I just noticed this very car has 2 USBs at the bottom back of the center console, I wish to know how many USB ports in total this very car has. In the 7 seaters I've seen, they will have these 2 USB ports in the second row arm rest while the 5 seater RXs will have them exactly as in this video with each car having 6 USB ports in total.
You didn't mention the Kia Sorrento as an alternative. I now have a 450h and my previous Sorrento had the same bells and whistles as the Lexus. It really annoys me that the Lexus cruise control allows overspeeding downhill. My Sorrento didn't.
The front has character. The rear is generic, very Toyota. It does not stand out. Their seats are a little strange, but they look very solid. And technologically, far behind the competition.
Tech is getting there but I agree with you. Obviously my biggest gripe is with the size of the 3rd row and I’d have a lot less to complain about if I drove just the RX.

i´m 6´6" and fit well and comfy
what are your thoughts on the RX, the 3rd row, and the hybrid powertrain? Let us know below.
3rd row is apparently near useless.
Yup for sure

I don’t have a video out on that yet

I see now, you have the captain chair setup in the second row, hence why the 2 USB ports where moved to the rear of the center console.

Yeah, I really like the Sorrento for sure. 👍
I think to be fair the third row is definitely for children. So I don’t see an issue. It’s a brilliant piece of tech elegance.
Can i purchase one without the cheap black plastic around the fenders?
That would be a negative. As far as I know all trims have the cladding.
I love 3 rows car

Excellent presentation 29Nov2022Finland
First thing to mention.... first thing to mention and first thing to mention
Lol, it's a journey of Firsts! TH-cam should be able to appreciate that. 😂
The RX350-L is ugly, i will take the mdx over this
agree
Really? I don't like the way the MDX looks. To each his own 🤷🏾♀️
