I want to express my gratitude, Chris for your making a video to explain using a smoker And he did it so very quickly to thank you very much and God bless!🙏🏻👌🥰👍🏻
I have been using egg cartons and pinecones. I am happy to see that is is a good choice. I have used them because they are always available to me and because I like to think the pine smell is more pleasant to the bees than pellets.
When I first came to honeybees seeking info and experience I frequented some channels of blokes in the USA who were rather infused with a kind of "cowboy mentality" about their hives. "Gentle" was not in their vocabulary. Then I happened upon Cotswold Bees and learned that they were doing it, basically, all wrong. Now I only watch and am subscribed here and I've let the Cowboys go their rough way.
@@gringo6797 it’s your gets out of jail free card. All animals can have a off day and bees are no exception. If ever they are in a defensive mood you can give them a bit of smoke as you are working them. Not too much though.

That’s great. I like pine cones or rotten wood.
Thanks! That was great!
Glad you enjoyed it.

That’s really kind of you. I’m so glad you are enjoying the channel. Lots more to come.
🇦🇺 ❤ that was great information. Just wondering why it's necessary to fill the smoker when only the tiniest puff of smoke is used?🤔🐝

So the smoke inhibits the guard bees from putting the hive on an alarm mode, as you approach the hive?
That’s correct. It serves to disrupt communication in the hive.
Please help me to sell my honey sir
Sorry that’s not what we do. Try some of the bigger producers.
@@cotswoldbees connect me please, l don't know them
Just Google honey producers and the country where you want to sell your honey.
