Beautiful views and loved the horn blowing in the tunnels brought back good memories when my Dad would blow the horn going through the tunnels when I was a kid😀

Mike, when you stated you could just sit at that spot all day, my wife and I were thinking the same thing. All we need would be our folding chairs, iced tea and cheese and crackers.

His son runs the museum now. Thousands of visitors every year. It’s our #2 draw to Maggie, #1 being our beautiful Mountain View’s. Also, it might be worthwhile to contact Maggie’s Chamber of Commerce & get an interview with Maggie. She shows up at most festivals & events. Research Maggie’s origin. Very interesting where the name came from.
Hey guys, welcome to my neck of the woods.. I live about 10 mins East of waynesville N.C.. in Haywood County, small mill town Canton NC. . I always like to say we have the Smokies at the back door and Blue Ridge at our front door! Need to come and spend a day in Waynesville sometime. Somewhere else to think about and you can look it up is the “Pisgah Inn” right on the parkway in Buncombe county N.C..

Great video. Maggie Valley has significant though not nice meaning to at least some Danes. ADanish guy murdered his mother there and with the help of his father buried the body at Cape Hatteras. He spent some years in jail. Then he was sent back to Denmark, where he murdered his girlfriend and her two kids. The bodies has never been recovered. He is now serving a live sentence and has already been married twice !
