71 year old great grandfather from US and I'm hooked on this band. Old drmmer here and could listen to the percussion all day. Flute dude cracks me up too, he's great. Japanese ladies have for years enthralled me, fabulous.
They actually are! 😂 It's crazy! They're not reading on their laurels even as they get older. They keep tightening the cohesion. An example to live bands in my estimation.
I'll be in Japan soon, and I wanted to see one of their shows. Unfortunately I had to find out that their management sells tickets only through 3 japanese services that all need a japanese phone number and japanese address to register. So I'll have to pray they have doors tickets on the day, but I fear that is unlikely.
WGB I can still listen and watch videos where their energy passes through the PC to my brain and my heart is comforting in this "Covid" time. Thank God for the Wagakki Band ........ 🌸🌸🌸
She (Yuko)was born to sing. She has tons of formal training/very highly educated. She's basically a genius literally. The whole band are actually. They were all hand picked individually to form this incredible band. You should check out their story if you really like them.
Asa's Bass always cuts right through the mix, may it be in studio or live playing and it's not even that Loud or heavy, just the way a bass should sound and I really love the bass sound visible clearly out of so many instruments
@@Bubulech I agree. Also the guitar's the only instrument the bass will fight against other than the kick so it's fairly easy to make him cut through the mix.
After hearing all of their MVs and live shows, i've figured out their mixing formula.. Most of the times it goes like this: Vocals & Bass & Drums: right at the middle Shamisen: 90% to the right Guitar: 65% to the right Wadaiko percussion: 20% to the left Shakuhachi flute: 65% to the left The harp-like Koto: 90% to the left And when a certain instrument is doing solo or fill-in, it takes the middle

I don't think Wagakki Band can be accurately described as metal. It mixes rock elements and pop stuff, but not really metal. Doesn't mean they're not great, mind you.
I would consider them more progressive rock than metal. It is so unique that they blend the old with the new. I just wish I understood Japanese. I came across them via TH-cam‘s algorithm. They are one of the few things that TH-cam has gotten right!

I used to enjoy this song so much whenever i went out on a bike ride in the hills.. Until i found what the words mean 😂.. I mean i still enjoy listening to it due to the instruments and beats... But its just not the same ( my innocence was taken away by the meaning of this song 🤣)... But still yuko's voice is OMG so awesome, wagakki band is my goto band whenever I'm out on a bike ride in the hills.. The beats, the vocals.. Everything just makes the ride more enjoyable for me
