I started playing squad during that free weekend like a month ago. I haven't played a ton since then and the unreliable gunplay was the biggest reason why. I'm looking forward to trying the update out.
Now all that's missing is slightly faster AT and less suppression from vehicles. As soon as a IFV starts shooting into your hemisphere you are suppressed to the point of being unable to shoot back with AT. Or maybe make LAT faster and keep HAT as is.

As an infantry vet of both the Marine Corps and later the Army I think the stability fixes for prone are good. Standing should have remained as unstable as previously. Standing, unsupported, is a very inaccurate position and players should ALWAYS strive to be prone/crouched/supported when shooting.

Any changes on the AT class? The time stabilize the aim with RPGs and others ATs were ridiculously big. Had a lot of times that the aiming took so much time that the enemy vehicle just moved away.

That if i wanted to suppress with an LMG from the hip that the first cluster of bullets you fire weren't dumped i to the ground cuz my guy held his weapon downward all the time
Moi the 1-shot distance was increased for the BRs, not decreased. If you hit someone in the chest out to 100m then they will bleed out before they can bandage, meaning one hit = a kill. MG stabilized on a bipod with your weight pushed into it properly, will not bounce around twist or lean whatsoever. new update is better but still wildly over exaggerated. full auto machine gun if mounted short bursts accurate, long bursts less acurate. Dumping the whole 200rnd box.. its easy to correct and adjust to the recoil when prone or with pressure into a bipod. your going to get more accurate as your body adjusts and compensates for the constant recoil. first 3-5 rnds accurate, next 10-20 rounds probably(definitely) off a bit, body compensating and adjusting while dumping the other 125 rounds are going into your target as accurately as the first 3-5. Source: Many Thousands of rounds fired through an actual C7, C9 and C6. and others I love the ICO, stamina use matters and make a difference. new update better, rifles in a good place. machine guns slightly better, still basically first day on the job noodlearms private bloggins. also can we get rid of the tracers plz, all they are good for (in the daytime) is starting fires on the range!
Yeah, I hate hearing this "but machine guns are only good to suppress" nonsense. A MAG 58 (or C6 for you) will easily hit out to 600m if you're good, and the fact you can't pump out more than 5 rounds without the gun doing its own thing is just garbage.
Accurate, stable and fast ADS times lead to boring W+shift gameplay. Recoil and instability must be exaggerated to incentivize teamwork and tactics. Losing because you couldn't easily one tap your opponent is not a weakness of the game. @@lostaudio

I dropped out BC of ICO and tried out 8.2 and I can say it's actually playable again, that being said for me it's not enough to bring me back, insta uninstall after first match I just want all old gunplay and game plus + pip scopes and I would be really happy. Ofc players dont care if they can just respawn almost like in battlefield on a rally or near FOB. Increase death respawn cool down and make spawns more limited, like a rally maybe limited respawns also no minimum ammo, make it more logistics based.
@Sardinie14 my whole steam friendlist is basically squad, ik many who still play, also BC many of them play only/mostly vehicle and farm the noobs, but there is no squad competition so who knows what distraction homies need and then squad can be addicting even if gunplay is ruining ig

I love the ICO, stamina use matters and make a difference.
new update better, rifles in a good place.
machine guns slightly better, still basically first day on the job noodlearms private bloggins.
also can we get rid of the tracers plz, all they are good for (in the daytime) is starting fires on the range!
@@lostaudio
@@famulanrevengeance3044 the game is bearable now....
The chart you show at 9:45 is demonstrating bullet drop, not MOA
one really good thing that came from the ico update overall is its insanely easy to spot cheaters.
Only thing I don't like is the increased distance to hear radios. Feels like you have to have a guard by the fob now
That scene at 1:47 was beautiful
I'm worried we're going to be back to engagements over objectives being settled in a matter of seconds. That was ICO's main selling point, to slow down the pace of combat and allow squads to coordinate and support each other.
As happy as I am that squad keeps getting updates, I feel sad that my pc can no longer run this beast of a game ever since the ICO
I always wanted tarkov like movement for the game, Like adjusting your crouch height with scroll wheel or adjusting your walking speed with it.
MPT-76 BUFF IS SO GOOD, THE GUN ITSELF BEHAVES LIKE IT DOES IN REAL LIFE. W.
Do you have experience using it then?
@@noobguy9973 Yes, it is a heavy gun with perfect accuracy and no way it had that much shake. I don't know how accurate it is in game, but iron sights 1.000 meters should be no issue, and it shouldn't have any more recoil than it is now. you can find videos online and see it in action.
Winking here, This is very exciting for my noob friends.
Ok, I was pretty skeptical for the first 5 minutes but I'm liking what I'm seeing.
I hope to fucking GOD they include RS2s weapon rest/brace next to surfaces vertical or horizontal.
When does the update occur?
Considering the ICO singlehandedly killed the MEA faction (if a server had voting) hopefully these changes might actually have things more balanced out
Wow , I might have to try this out ... haven't really played since the nerfs
The turkish rifles are still super jumpy

With the comparison, that is while you're holding SHIFT, correct? Also the tilt when full auto firing MG's has always been there since the start of the ICO.
One of my first games of the update I downed an enemy with 2 shots from an M240 at 20 meters with hip fire and less than 10% stamina(just got revived) while crouched. Hopefully it was just luck and not a sign of what is to come.
I dropped out BC of ICO and tried out 8.2 and I can say it's actually playable again, that being said for me it's not enough to bring me back, insta uninstall after first match
I just want all old gunplay and game plus + pip scopes and I would be really happy. You want people to care more about tactics, teamplay and less run and gun? Then make death more punishing. Ofc players dont care if they can just respawn almost like in battlefield on a rally or near FOB. Increase death respawn cool down and make spawns more limited, like a rally maybe limited respawns also no minimum ammo, make it more logistics based.
If they would roll it back, I’d download it today. I’d like to know the stats of how many veteran players left because of ICO.
@Sardinie14 my whole steam friendlist is basically squad, ik many who still play, also BC many of them play only/mostly vehicle and farm the noobs, but there is no squad competition so who knows what distraction homies need and then squad can be addicting even if gunplay is ruining ig
Great update here for sure.
Yeah I stopped playing this completely with the infantry deletion. I may hop back on to try it out, but the fun level with the infantry adjustments, in my opinion, was reduced by about 95%. I didn't even lone wolf most of the time, but it just took all the fun out of combat for me.
I now have fun in vanilla I’ve been playing modded servers for the last few months just because unmodded felt like hell
I wish there were ironsight variants for some classes like the British medic.
If guns are actually easier to use again then I’ll hop back on after being gone for a year. I absolutely hated the noodle arms feeling I would get while shooting
the movement still looks like battlefront 2 classic collection
looks so much better. reminds me a lot more of PR's mechanics
Finally I can play this game again
this will def make this feel more like PR
Just picked this up and installed it. Haven't even played it yet.
Noaice! Next they need to do a audio rehaul for the weapon sounds. Too many weapons just do not sounds at all like a real firearm.
and different sounds indoors and outdoors, same for grenades.
goodbye my fps w that @@SilverSqueeze-i6n
They should add random advancing secure. Were the players get only one life. I wonder how that would pan out.
This is the best update that we had for a long time. Love it. Now it makes the game more skill based. Hopefully they will fix the fall damage as well
I found the rework unplayable for myself and stopped playing altogether after attempting to adjust, with this reversion, it looks like i might give it another go, so good news for me.
