Yeti is well worth it for him since he relies on his cooler keeping his lunch and waters chilled. prior he has a coleman cooler, and refused to pay anymore for one. He loves his yeti so far :). it's definitely not for just hunting and fishing

Best thing about Yeti is it stepped up the game of the other cheaper cooler companies and they perform almost as well for hardly anything near it. I got a rolling Igloo performance with tons of features from Costco for $45! Keeps ice for 72 hours easy.
It makes sense that their drinkware makes up so much of their revenue. Their coolers are designed to be long lasting so a niche group only buys one cooler and it lasts a lifetime. Drinkware isn't as niche as the coolers and everybody buys multiple.
I know right, I mean it’s just a cooler, no big deal but there seems to be a fascination with them. It’s like a cool paper plate, put a cool brand on it and people will want a colorful paper plate all of a sudden.

So for that I bought a yeti cooler, they do work great and for someone who works out in the sun all day its made a huge difference in cooling me down compared to drinking room temp drinks in other melted coolers. Well it’s worth the investment for backcountry hunting and fishing guides, so they’re the main purchasers of it. If you don’t the money for a 1k cooler, don’t buy it. Simple as that

Let me save you 12 minutes of your life...the answer is because of the “Frat Daddy lifestyle” . Aka - “Bruhhhh...check out my YETI, I’m can fit like 3 packs of Natty Lite in here...”
Can't speak to their other stuff but a lot of campershell boondockers love the basic white cooler chests, they'll last you 4 days on a bag of ice really easy. Tough, solid, simple. Worth it for someone who knows why they need one. Someone with a vanlife config probably has solar and run a dometic-type cooler off DC battery, but for 1/2 the cost of the dometic you can go a long ways and stop and pick up ice every few days and be on the road a good while pretty cheap. Workmen out in the open, good solid choice as well.
I own a yeti 45. And it only ever gets used for camping trips or something I need to keep stuff cold for days. Any other time I would rather carry anything else. Hate how heavy and bulky it is. But I do love how long it will hold ice if you aren’t opening and closing all the time.
Me: Being this loyal to a cooler company is ridiculous Also Me: wearing Timberland Boots, Timberland Socks, Timberland Jeans, Timberland Shirt, Timberland Jacket......
If it makes you happy and it’s not harming anyone... do you. Collect and spend your money how you want. I like how the teacher said it makes her think of being happy outdoors when she see’s it on her desk ✌🏻
It's a company that makes the best cooler, .... that has its biggest customers and middle class people that want to look upper class. Better then most luxury brands but still mostly a luxury brand.
The first time I saw YETI it was in the form of stickers on a 4Runner and on a Subaru next to a Hiking Trail... and I thought they made Hiking equipment. Then I saw another YETI sticker on a Boat Trailer in a Marina. I didn't know what YETI was until I went to REI. YETI went all out on their marketing campaign (Tee-shirts, Stickers, Trailer-Hitch Covers) without even telling the public what they made.
I really don’t get the negative comments on this. This is an entrepreneur’s dream. They literally created a market for a product and it has become incredibly successful. Do some people not really need to keep ice for 5 days? Sure. Are some people maybe a little too obsessed with their brand? Sure. But overall, they make a durable and long-lasting product that made many outdoorsman’s lives much easier. Way to much negativity over nothing, some of y’all have too much hate in your life to try and take it out on a cooler
I’m watching this as I drink my coffee from my Yeti mug. Edit: my mug is that really expensive blue color... I didn’t even know this was that expensive, it was a gift.
To be fair, Pelican has been making equipment cases in the USA for like 40 years. If you're a photographer, military, or law enforcement you've probably used their cases to protect your gear. I'm sure Yeti was inspired by them.
Buying our Tundra 45 was not easy, we knew it was gonna be the last cooler we ever bought, but spending that much was hard. BUT we are glad we bit the bullet...it lives in our car as "the car fridge" and add ice about every 4th day. Perfect for the type of work we do and always having cold drinks no matter where we go. Its an investment forsure.
I love yeti because of its durability, it can go through lots of wear and tear, more than the average person would do to a cooler. So its not for everyone. These yeti collectors seem to be missing the point...yeti coolers belong on a boat or in the bed of a truck, not in an office with the tag still on it. lol
As an outdoorsman I realize i can get by with most regular products, no i dont need a yeti to do what i do. The reason i get them is because I know i am putting money into something of quality. It does preform better than most products. And I know this cooler is going to last a really long time. Even if I manage to break it they have replacement parts i can buy and fix it. I like serviceable product. Those igloo coolers are junk, i have broken a dozen of them. You just throw it in the landfill when it breaks. But a yeti either wont break or is repairable. I respect that and its valuable to me . Its not for everyone but its for me. And I didn’t even mention the money saving i get out of it. I run construction sites and we have coolers with water bottles at all times. We mainly use the igloo coolers but i use my yeti. The igloo ones have to be replenished with ice every single day. At $5 a bag and 2 bags per cooler thats $10 a day each cooler. But my yeti will hold ice for 4 or 5 days. That saves so much money if you are like me and always use a cooler. It doesn’t take long to pay for itself. The reason she didn’t see those results is because she put ice in a warm cooler so it takes a long time to cool off the inside of that cooler. If you always keep it cold and keep ice in it it will last a very long time. If you want the results you gotta pre chill it. But even if you dont 3 days is still impressive when the igloo wont make it through a 8 hr day.
I bought a yeti like 7-8 years ago and still use it to this day for coffee and cold drinks. The paint has held up pretty good for how many times I’ve dropped it. And it’s that rare blue Color had no idea people were paying that much for them.
After beating the crap out of two no name brand coolers I found on Amazon, I decided to grab a Yeti soft-cooler 24 can capacity. It holds up a lot better than I thought it would as I waited to feel that feeling of buyers remorse from over hyped consumer reviews. I use it for my young family with ice from my home ice maker and then with three hot thermoses and kids’ Omie lunch boxes without ice of course. I leave the Yeti in a hot or cold car while my family goes out on an extended bike ride or hike. You don’t have to keep zipping it up on hot days as the ice keeps with the top resting unzipped, which is helpful if you’re doing a lot of grilling and going in and out of the Yeti. Their drink ware also is some of the best I’ve seen on the market. I think if you’re thinking about a Yeti, it’s probably because your current gear keeps breaking down. It was expensive, but I live in a bad part of town and frequent not so busy camp grounds. Not many people around me know what the Yeti brand is, so I don’t get the hate:)
I was an avid camper (not much any more). But for me, the big rule was to not carry something that was so nice it ran the risk of getting stolen. So I've been gun shy. I mostly carry a very incognito backpack cooler from a brand that has long been discontinued. I like it because only people trained to spot backpack coolers--like guards at tourist destinations--can spot it for what it is. So, it's pretty easy to carry in my 'contraband' and look like I'm just into skateboarding...
I’m watching this video with my yeti in front of me. I bought mine on sale not knowing it was such a big thing. I’ve since met someone with the cooler. I will say that they are good quality products, and I think they’re worth the price if you actually use it, not collect it.
If you pre chill the cooler overnight it tends to hold ice better. Usually I throw in some frozen water bottles overnight and then ice in the morning. Holds ice much better.
I mean... if the quality is that good, I think it’s a triumph of technology itself. Hype is not healthy but we can all appreciate the insulation technique.
Best cooler I bought was a canyon cooler. Major flaw with yeti coolers is they aren’t bear rated. And I know folks that have issues with the rubber latches if used for months on end for your “fridge” in a boat situation
Because some people will pay a ridiculous amount of money for a perceived benefit. Instead of getting a Yetti, I just bought two coolers for around $70 each. One large size cooler (like the Yetti shown), and 1 Medium size cooler. I store the medium size cooler inside the larger cooler and then add ice to both coolers. I store beverages in the ice in both coolers (and food in insultated food bags with ice packs in the innner cooler). The who setup cost me $180 using the two coolers, insulated food bags and ice packs. The ice lasts for a number of days in very warm weather (over 80 Degrees farenheit), just like the Yetti (which costs $600 to $1200).
I left the house with my Yeti filled green tea and ice inside, I ended up leaving it in the car for a day and a half by accident. When I came back the ice was still there, and I live in Houston where its hot and humid 363 days a year. Last mug you'll ever need to buy 👍🏼
I think Yeti got popular with a university snapchat app around 2014-2015, the saying was "do it for the yeti!", and it so happened that yeti cooler had the same name lol
blahburz thats what i used to say before i had my first one. But once you use one the build quality is amazing i literally stand on it without worrying its going to bend and i use mine every weekend for the lake when we go boat riding. Ice retention is noticeably better especially when you compare them to the other coolers my buddies bring they always prefer to put their beer on my cooler lol
Let's be real: PC gamers love RGB and sometimes pay extra for better lighting or colorful accessories. Tech people love slick edges, glass and mental sometimes pay extra for a better looking phone or notebook. Yeti products have way better design and people are willing to pay more for the design lifestyle. We're living in a moment that good looking and funcional products sell more.
Yeti is like the Snap-on & Matco tools vs harbor freight tools or low-cost tools. There's a place and need for things that work better and built better. Some like buying something made better. Interestingly it's not like if Louis Vuitton sold a cooler as it would be more luxury vs built tough. Just about every industry has a brand or brands like Yeti. Look at boots or jackets you can get a low-cost brand most stores get the basic job done but certainly not climbing/hiking Mount Everest. Unless your using top brands like Mountain Hardwear, Arcteryx, North Face, Patagonia, but there are luxury functional clothing brands too like Moncler and Canada goose and you pay a lot more same time its a status symbol.
If you do a lot of backwoods camping they will pay for its self. Knowing 3+ days later you do have to drive to town every night for ice and spend time gas and 4 $ for ice. The meats you bring for camp, fish you catch and drinks are safe. Secured lid when you tip over down river also.

I like it because only people trained to spot backpack coolers--like guards at tourist destinations--can spot it for what it is. So, it's pretty easy to carry in my 'contraband' and look like I'm just into skateboarding...
They're the best! Love my tundra 45 the only drawback is the extra hassle of keeping them from not getting stolen!!
You betcha on CNBC. Awesome.
Why does she have a fridge when she has all those yetis?
To make the ice 😉
I would buy the back pack before the cooler the backpack looks amazing
I’m watching this video with my yeti in front of me. I bought mine on sale not knowing it was such a big thing. I’ve since met someone with the cooler. I will say that they are good quality products, and I think they’re worth the price if you actually use it, not collect it.
If you pre chill the cooler overnight it tends to hold ice better. Usually I throw in some frozen water bottles overnight and then ice in the morning. Holds ice much better.
The comment "other people will know how I live my life."
Why is that important to you? Talk about low self esteem
She could also convey her outdoor lifestyle by putting a picture of herself doing outdoor activities on her desk.
I mean... if the quality is that good, I think it’s a triumph of technology itself.
Feels like just yesterday Hydroflasks were in. Now it’s the age of YETI.
YETI is the pride of "Made in USA". I hope it will stay this way forever.
It’s not made in USA. It’s made in China , designed in Austin .
Premiumisation of commodities seems to be the business to be in today, however I personally am not sure if this model is sustainable.
7:51 wow proud of you CNBC for showing that. Brave :-D
I got my Yeti Cooler 35 Tundra for $100.00 you just have to look for those great deals out there.👊😎👍
I think Yeti got popular with a university snapchat app around 2014-2015, the saying was "do it for the yeti!", and it so happened that yeti cooler had the same name lol
Well, Keep Cups are ridiculously expensive too, for what you get - a glass cup!! But lots of people have more than 3 and love them.
$1300 for a cooler. That's a months rent 😂
I’m not going to lie. I like my Yeti mug. It keeps my coffee hot during the winter months.
How much time do you need to drink a cup of coffee? 24 hours?
This looks like an Ad
That’s because it is
My dogs absolutely love their Yeti ice water out of their Yeti dog bowls poured out of my Yeti Silo 6 gallon water cooler.
And i thought i was the only one obsessed with yeti lol
What's so good about them? Isn't it just a cooler?
blahburz thats what i used to say before i had my first one. But once you use one the build quality is amazing i literally stand on it without worrying its going to bend and i use mine every weekend for the lake when we go boat riding. Ice retention is noticeably better especially when you compare them to the other coolers my buddies bring they always prefer to put their beer on my cooler lol
This is an 'attention starved' generation.
Period
Am I the only one that never heard of this brand?
Let's be real:
PC gamers love RGB and sometimes pay extra for better lighting or colorful accessories.
Tech people love slick edges, glass and mental sometimes pay extra for a better looking phone or notebook.
Yeti products have way better design and people are willing to pay more for the design lifestyle.
We're living in a moment that good looking and funcional products sell more.
There are so many coolers just as good or better than Yeti that are cheaper, and made in America. Check out Cordova coolers.
yeti is the apple of the cooler industry .....
Not gonna lie when I saw that turquoise color cooler I considered buying one lololol
Can't agree more. Thats very pretty color to be honest
Average buyer: what modelo of Yeti do You like?
Yeti collector: Yes...
'You betcha' better be getting compensated for that showing!
My boy You Betcha out here wooo
Yeti is kind of like Canada goose
I love Yeti cycles.
Gotta love the Yeti! Shameless plug, anyone interested in helping out a new personal finance channel?
Okay
I can't believe I just saw a 12 minute commercial at midnight
I enjoyed watching this. Thank you!
If you do a lot of backwoods camping they will pay for its self. Knowing 3+ days later you do have to drive to town every night for ice and spend time gas and 4 $ for ice. The meats you bring for camp, fish you catch and drinks are safe. Secured lid when you tip over down river also.
10:57 well... at least she knows it’s all for social media and that it’s an illusion. That’s why I don’t do instagram. So shallow I can’t take it these days. Go meet some real people 😭
