    10:31 - Full feedback and trackman data
    The new irons from COBRA Golf in the RADSPEED family for 2021 feature breakthrough technology with use of 3D printing as seen in their recent KING SuperSport-35 Putter developed in partnership with HP Parmatech. The 3D printed nylon medallion at the back of the club head allows for a new manufacturing process resulting in weight saving to enhance performance and along with Radial Weighting provides optimised speed and performance. The Radial weighting, a key technology in the RADSPEED family, allows for adjustments to weight placement to maximise the performance. This is further optimised through the use of weighting system in the toe with weights ranging from 2-16 grams.
    The RADSPEED irons feature a Carbon fibre topline and PWRSHELL face all designed to maximise distance and to be easier to hit. The irons feature U grooves in the long irons and V grooves in the short irons (8-SW) all focused on optimising launch, distance and accuracy. Additionally, the irons feature larger grips as standard, KBS shafts and COBRA CONNECT.

    I have the one length version. These clubs are monstrous and they produce the best feeling Miss hits of any irons I have ever tried. it's hard to explain but it's like there's built-in airbags for jarring shots

    So I’m don’t take a divot, sweep it off the turf. Play a lot of firm conditions. Would I have issues with the soles on these bouncing into the ball? Thanks

  • @aakersork9830
    @aakersork9830 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I don't know, but during a rainy day the amount of potentially dirt-accumulating recesses within the medallion and around the screw may partially counteract the grams of weight saved in the first place.

    • @golfshake
      @golfshake  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Doubt it will have much effect and difficult for the muck to get in in any real size to cause an issue and no different to other clubs and cavities etc We will check it out though.

    • @aakersork9830
      @aakersork9830 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are likely right. Looks like some work to clean out the recesses in the superior part of the medallion with a cotton swab though.

      @@golfshake Doesn’t matter how small the dirt. This design will be an absolute magnet for any dirt making cleaning them nigh on impossible. Any dirt / moisture accumulates over time can’t be good for the overall integrity of the club.
      Also those screws. Another potential area to encourage premature rusting. They aren’t the cleanest of designs. Also I think the adjustment idea is a little over engineered too. Just confuses the fitting. Of the big box fitters I’ve been to I doubt they will have the required knowledge to get the right weight for you (with all due respect). Your talking very marginal gains here that can’t possibly be identified through a relatively small amount of balls hit off an indoor mat. Choosing the right head, shaft, lie, length, grip etc is difficult enough as it is without yet another element thrown in!
      I like Cobra I really do. I think they are pushing the boundaries for innovation, but I think their R&D department had a bumper delivery of red bull on the day they came up with these and got a little over excited. I wanted to like these. I was hanging on for their release to potentially buy a set. Im sure some people will not care about the negatives I’ve highlighted but there will some people where these will be a deal breaker. I’m sure they will perform but overall I’m left a little disappointed.

      Thanks for the reply, I currently swing i210s with project x 6.5 shafts. I hit my irons much too high and if it’s windy it’s a real struggle. Our iron swing speeds are similar so that’s why I was wondering how they did for you. Thanks for the reply!

    Great video... ive never hit a golf ball in my life but this is the year I'm 37 and just retired so plan on getting a set and getting on the courses this year...(if boris allows me) what clubs would you advise for a brand new golfer i was told to go for the speedzone one length but these are the newer ones so I'm stuck haha (money isn't an issue I just want something decent to get me started)

    • @golfshake
      @golfshake  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome news on taking up golf. Don't worry on the set too much once you start out, just get playing and practice and then once you feel more set-up with your game look at getting a custom fit. This should help find the clubs for your game and potentially either variable or one length will suit you

    Any chance of a review of the one length range of Radspeed irons ?

    • @golfshake
      @golfshake  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Difficult to do really given that different golfers will benefit from either variable or onelength but we will look at seeing what we can do to highlight the benefits of onelength which are very good

      @@golfshake Ah ha! I’m about to treat myself to a new set of irons. And herein lies the crux of my dilemma.... To One-Length or not to One-Length. I’ve tried them out on a mat and at the range.. maybe hit only 40 balls and was totally underwhelmed. Yet a couple of my pals who use One-Length irons swear by them as the best thing since sliced bread albeit with the caveat that you need to allow six months to get used to them.
      I’m asking myself whether the six months of agony while getting used to one length irons is worth it. Or simply just buy a set of XXIO irons and know they’re as good as it gets.
