    Yo, this tutorials are stellar! Do you happen to have one for the Moirax Armiger? I was planning on finding a way to get 2 of its Volkite weapons to stick to my Warglive, so wanted to see how different it was

    In English 6mm x 3mm is 1/4 x 1/8 , 3/8 x 1/16 is 10mm x 2mm, and 1/4 x 1/16 is 6mm x 2mm

    I don't understand, why carve off the top of the legs just to add a magnet that allows it to spin? Just fit the bottom part of the body with putty and shove the legs in with the pin, that'll create a snug fitting "dock" for the legs that wouldn't need a magnet - or you could simply do the same with some magnets at the top of the legs. When the green stuff is set, pull the legs off and glue the magnets. All that cutting and carving just seems like a lot of effort and risk for the same effect.

    the size you drilled that arm out to almost ripped the part around where the magnet goes , i would recommend smaller magnets this is not something that should be in a how to guide for beginners IMO im sure a few people have ruined their model trying to drill that out to 1/4 inch

      Do you need a metal thimble it going to use a razor blade and cutting towards yourself. It's a shield your thumb wears for protection. Used in sewing.

    Is there anything you could recommend so that the magnets don't make the model as... limp? it seems like the weight of melee the arm was just making it stay completely pointed down when you're not holding it

      You can increase the strength of magnets by using more. Like you can take the base / body and install two magnets in a column to give them more hold with the other magnets on the arms / weapons.

    • @wolfassassin359
      @wolfassassin359 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You want more friction to prevent the weapons to just hang. if the magnets are not touching each other you get less force between them combined with less surface area touching between the two parts. so either as Seneca Rapson say more magnets (best if they touch each other ), or you get some Green stuff and fill in the cavity on the weapon end so you get more surface area and friction between.

      More/bigger magnets.

  • @StigPrice

    Not sure you actually need to magnatize anything other than the weapons as they just slot around the arms.

    What does Armiger mean,?

    • @spikeybitstv
      @spikeybitstv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      According to wiki In heraldry, an armiger is a person entitled to use a heraldic achievement (e.g., bear arms, an "armour-bearer") either by hereditary right, grant, matriculation, or assumption of arms. Such a person is said to be armigerous.

      @@spikeybitstv Thanks for the explanation. I wondered if it meant someone who bore arms, ie weapons, for a knight or soldier. It has a strength to it, as words go.

    Question? how would you magnetize the head? I got 4 models ( Warglaives and Helverins heads ) I really dont want to super glue the head but I know its not tough enough to hold in place after x time has passed? I have a general idea but want a second opinion
