- This time I made a lamp of the wood from an old table. It's a minimalist design that can be placed against the wall. The lamp is made of oak. I used a led strip with light diffusion material to get rid of everything neatly.

Nice work, great eye for detail and proportions I can see that you are studying Architecture! I may have to make one of these light holders if I can get my hands on a nice piece of hardwood!
It looks awesome, really nice job. An awesome touch would be a little brass or stainless grommet around the wiring where it enters the wood. Keep it up!

May I ask what kind of diffusion material you used? It looks like white plexiglas, but that is usually less transparent? When you slide it into the lamp, you can see the wood through it?
It is Makrolon DX NR 141. I bought it from PyraSied Extreme Acrylic, I hope you can find such kind of material near you. It comes with an white protective plastic film. You can not see the wood or the LEDs through it.
This is great. What exact components did you use for the lighting? Where is the IR Controller?

Ik kwam je kanaal toevallig tegen en was als houtliefhebber/klusser/bouwer gelijk geïnteresseerd. Ontzettend leuke filmpjes en mooie projecten. De dingen die je maakt zien er geweldig uit. Strak, simpel en elegant. Een goede inspiratiebron! Misschien leuk om af en toe een langer filmpje te maken waarin je wat meer details van het maken laat zien? Sowieso lekker doorgaan!
Mooi om te horen dat je ze leuk vind. Misschien ga ik dat in de toekomst ooit doen. Ik heb meer reacties gehad waar mensen vroegen om uitleg erbij. Dus wie weet...

Hi Zach. In the Netherlands we have 230v. That's what the lamp uses.

Thanks! I have burned the lamp for a whole day and he does not get hot. For the sake of certainty, I'll test him soon by an electrician.

Hey jurre, vind dit een echt tof project, prachtige creatie en de video is goed geproduceerd. Alleen heb ik wel het gevoel dat ik als kijker wat mis, er zit tussen jou en de kijker behoorlijk wat afstand. Geen probleem als dit is wat je wilt, maar ik denk dat het een boel toevoegt als je wat meer commentaar levert. Vertelt wat en waarom je iets doet, hoe je op het idee komt, you get the picture. Zo kun je wellicht een goede band met de kijker opbouwen. Anderszijds, met je video en bouw skills zit het helemaal goed 👌

@@JurreMattheeuwse Thanks ! Prijzig spul toch wel. Heb uiteindelijk wat alu strips besteld met semi-transparant inlay. Maar nice build hoor!
Cool project! But this RGB strip has one big disadvantage and that is ac adapter. it must by pluged in electric all the time when you want control RGB.. It is doesn't good for your wallet..

For the grove I used the Festool 1010 and under the router table I used a powerplus machine (old and cheap).
The Festol looks to give tremendous control. Really nice work 👍👍

you cut the acrylic glass with your circular - handsaw because you didnt want the edge to break while it is beeing cut.
You could have easily done this on your tablesaw by partially cutting into a piece of scrap wood and clamp it to the table - then there is no longer a gap between the blade that could harm the acrylic glass whilst beeing cut. You just slide the acrylic glass over the piece of scrap wood.
