Interesting that you use the Galaxy for fine finishing - I like it for cleaning up reclaimed wood because it zips through the dirt, grime and previous finishes and lasts a lot longer than most sandpapers, so it’s actually quite cheap when taken in context.
Yeah the finer stuff is really amazing!! I know a few people that use it for finishing epoxy River tables before polishing. I agree with you on the reclaimed wood, I try to keep a bunch of 80s around as they work really well on rough sawn timber.
I think ye did a bang-up job. Finding a good middle ground between cost and longevity is the ticket. Pay less, use more product and takes longer at sanding. Granddad swore by this. Aye and how many things have changed in that time? Take care & stay safe Josh & Fam.
