Welcome to The Natural Workshop's TH-cam Channel.
We use TH-cam more than we would care to admit and I think this is a fair comment for most of us out there. I wanted to give something back to the community which has saved me not only hours but days of headaches and heartaches.
If there is something you would like me to review, look at or make then please drop it in the comments and I will get back to you.
Have an awesome day!

What's the point of the glue?
Extra holding power, I built two sets, one for base units and the other wall units. They are strong enough as I was at the clients today and walked on the units, they were fine. I weigh 105kgs!
@TheNaturalWorkshop do one with glue and one with only screws and test them :D I'd love to see how much difference the glue makes.
Thats a good shout to be honest, Ive been thinking of doing a project farm style series on Adhesive...I like this idea, leave it with me 😀
@@TheNaturalWorkshop Subscribed 👍
Quick tip. A cheap toothbrush dipped in a suitable solvent (turps/isopropyl) works wonders when cleaning rollers, blade trays etc.
What blade?
Craig jig been doing this since 59' 😂
True but this one is all Ally and Steel, it would be nice if it had the 3 holes like the K4 but this is a great unit. The metal construction makes it better for bigger piece like this!
Noice ! Take care & stay safe Josh & fam.
Undoubtedly nice but I think it would look just that bit better if you left the marine barrel
Thank you and yeah, its all personal preference! Have a great day 😁
How do you connect it to Festool vacuum?
It has a hose/port connector that plugs straight into the Midi, you can use it with any vacuum though, Ive just it with a standard Nilfisk wet and dry.
Blb a bruska
Haha what?
@TheNaturalWorkshop jsi dement
@jaromirsvejda3415 🤣 because I used a drum sander for a table top? Why am I demented?
@TheNaturalWorkshop jsi
🤣 Thanks, I'll take it as a compliment!
Music sucks
Thanks 🙏
And burn your wood along the way 😂😂😂
Lol sands away just fine 😉
Ok
Do they un clip or are they fix for life once together Very cool
Thanks! You can pop them back out, they have between 50-70kgs of holding force. The best way to separate them is to bend it perpendicular to the fixing, it pops right out. Thats why I use glue with the fixings and then its permanent. The beauty is that you can add the glue and then leave the fixing to hold the pieces of timber together while the glue dries.
@@TheNaturalWorkshop awesome id love one
Bought some UKJ pocket screws once instead of Kreg. Never again. Utter garbage. Head sheared of under virtually zero torque. Put thousands of Kregs in. Not one shear. Second UKJ.....shear. Enough said.
That blows my mind to be honest. I've used loads of their screws and had zero issues. Did you contact Axminster? Sounds like it was a bad batch from the factory, it happens. I had the same with a box of good quality screws from another brand, they ended up recalling the batch as it was a factory fault.
@TheNaturalWorkshop To be honest having used literally thousands of Kregs on loads of jobs without issue I wouldn't ever use another UKJ product.
Hi what’s the most it could take ok in one pass with say a 100 grit on the first roller? Thank you.
The most I tend to take is aound 0.75mm but at the speed that it goes through, it's quite a quick process. You do need to monitor it as it goes through, you can tell by the sound if its trying to take too much in one go.
Nothing. Just use the timber as it comes. Clean the top as you go along, treating it with the respect it deserves. Allowing the top to become “unusable” is poor workmanship.

Рабочий стол 🤙
Can no-one do carpentry any more. No signs of mortices or tenons, or half lap on the bracer.
lol, the centre brace has been half lapped at the centre and then the rest is fixed using mechanical fixings. The frame of the gate is fixed using large loose tenons but there is only so much time I can charge for, I can only make what the client is prepared to pay for.
Where's the teardown part of video?
Either this video is flipped or the giy is routing the wrong direction
Climb or Conventional, either way is fine, just depends on what you're up to and what sort of finish you need.
I was not prepared for the short. If you know what i mean.
😂
Bro, those shorts are wayyy too short and I'm not talking about the video 😂😂😂
Maybe he forgot he was wearing his chonies.
@@Blue_Rose1973 🤣🤣🤣
🤣 Dude, my workshop can hit 110f easily in the warmer months, I'm not dying in the heat for anyone 😆
@@TheNaturalWorkshop I promise you won't die if you wear longer shorts 🤡🤡😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣 who cares lol, short shorts are where it's at my friend!
Very helpful Josh, so right with the point that customers are buying into you
Apologies mate, its been a busy week. Yes, for sure, there are a million and one options out there, what makes us stand out is our personality and how trustworthy we are. Ive had customers say they are happy to pay over the odds, they just need someone they can trust!
Nice!
Thanks 😁
Bottom end when it comes to joinery.
That depends on the job and client budget doesn't it? If I'm building a 5-10k table then yeah, that's cheaping out, if I'm making a frame to a specific budget for a commercial client, then no.
@TheNaturalWorkshop so using acquired, valuable skills for high end jobs, and monkey joinery for low budget ones.....k
🤣 yeah thats how it works. We want to be able to help as many people as possible so when they come to us with a job, we find out a budget and then work the materials and joinery around that. Lets be fair, it isnt Monkey, its just different mate, we do our best to give the client what they want and whay they can afford. This job where we made the videos, it was to create a stack of shadow boxes, install LEDs and the client would add vinyls to the acrylic fronts. They dont care about joinery methods, just price and delivery dates.
That's good
Thanks Paul! Very impressed with this bit of kit!
Such a niche tool
Yes and No. Pocket holes are a great way to make frames/panels, super quick and easy!
That's a metal double margin bit
I didn't know that's what they were called, just had a google to find out. Good to know they have included a top quality bit instead of cheaping out!
Whats with those short shorts bro?
🤣 My workshop regularly hits 90f in the spring and gets to 110f in the summer lol. Too hot!
Супермен❤
🙏🏼😁
How is this machine working out for you?
Its an excellent bit of kit, love using it and it makes panel work super easy!
Do something about the godawful fucking sound volume
Very nice
Thank you 🙏
Great comparison! You were the first person I found, to test the new "MIRKA ULTIMAX LIGNO" and convinced me to give em a try! Thanks a lot!
Hey, thanks for watching and glad it helped you decide! They are a great option!
Do you have the Festool ETS EC in the box?
Yep! Its a nice sander but doesnt have a touch on the Mirka, at least in my opinion!
Не целесообразно
Good
Thanks!
You could of just marked the cut while it was sitting there
Maybe, but then they wouldn't learn the process which is more important when working with larger timbers or heavy hardwoods.
Nice informative ramble - thanks.
Thanks....I think 🤣
SO ????????????????
White oak has the same SG as maple I think 0.68
great video. thank you
Glad you liked it!
Garbage
🤣 which bit? Any links to your camo painted stuff or are we just shouting random words at people on the Internet?
Looks cool
Thank you! 😁
Use Rubio monocoat
Good idea but seems expensive!
Not for outdoors
Nope, it's like a Crate, but Different!
I'm was looking to get just the thicknesser version. I see some people using it as a thicknesser and some as a planer, but have never known the difference. Can someone explain what I'm missing please.
If you used a mic we could hear you over the noise. had to turn of as could watch anymore
