There is no queue, just like Hermes. Purchase a non stainless steel Rolex as it will definitely speed up with getting the watch from your wishlist. Once you're in 'the door" the next Rolex watch purchase gets easier. Most, if not all those watches, on display are for sales. It's a waiting game.
The longer the wait, the more expensive it gets (Rolex increases prices annually, in 2024 there was also a mid-year price increase for certain models). Worst case, the Rolex model(s) you are badly waiting for gets discontinued and vanishes from all the Rolex ADs. If those are the models you really want, maybe going to a trusted grey dealer is another option.
Four AD's and no one has called to say your watch is here? I would take it as, I am not the customer they want... I would wait a little while longer then move on to Omega or someone that wants my money.
Yeah the thing however is I want a Rolex, I don’t want to buy something I just don’t love just for the sake of, most likely I will go gray but not too desperate enough at this time. If it happens great if not then oh well, I tried….
Cartier watches are easier to get yes they do and are typically available. I’m not sure if there are certain models you need to get on the list too but I have seen plenty available in the AD. Hope this helps.
My story is very similar to yours. I was on the waitlist for OP36 candy pink. One day I received exactly the same text message, request another watch because they were not able to get me the one I wanted. I went to AD, the store was empty except the store manager who was working on getting the store to open. I told him about the text message I received. He asked me to wait. Few minutes later he brought Tudor Chrono Pink. I couldn’t be happier. Every time I pass by the AD there is one OP36 candy pink in the window, but I never saw another Tudor Chrono Pink. One SA told me that since I bought mine they haven’t seen another one.
I’ve heard the plain oyster perpetuals in certain colors (including pink, tiffany blue, especially celebration dial) are super hard to get - pretty much impossible. My husb did prespend and shortly was able to get a Datejust within a few months and I just got a 36 datejust too. Possibly, if you tell them that you are more flexible with colors- and willing to get a fancier datejust, chances are higher. My husband is a big fan of watches of all brands- so i think he exudes that at the store (rather than he’s just there to get a Rolex)- I think that helped us too. hope that helps!
I agree with the other comments here that the OP36 Tiffany and Celebrations dials are quite hard to come by at the AD. If you are willing to be more flexible with the dial choice you may be able to get it quicker. I think I was quite lucky with my AD, started with an OP31 Dark Blue (waited 3 months back in late 2021/early 2022), then asked for a DJ36 Wimbledon (waited 6 months in late 2022). Didn't have anything in my registration of interests in 2023 apart from a Sub Date and the OP36 Tiffany (both of which I don't believe I will get, given the demand for these models), then asked for another DJ36 Wimbledon in a different config as a present (again waited 6 months for it in 2024). So I think if you are willing be buy up to the DJ rather than the OP, you might get allocated a watch sooner and if you flexible with the dial choice it would also speed things up. But hopefully you will get that call soon as my AD have also told me the same thing that they are getting far more delivery but the demand for certain models and dials are still higher than the supply.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I really want the celebration or Tiffany watch and don’t want to pre spend on another watch I don’t really like so I will stick to what I told them, hopefully I will get it. Manifesting the world to give it to me. 😃
Also manifesting the celebration dial OP , my AD said that dial is hard to get and can’t even get it for his vip clients so we will see for me if I can ever get one . I’m also a client but not VIP 😂🙏🏽❤️
They go by your spending history not who's next on the list drop another couple hundred thousand there And maybe your start getting the watches you want in a timely manner
ZIGGY - what state are you in ? it is a horrible process with ROLEX . I hope you get the AD call. ? at all 4 AD's - to you 'register' for the same couple of pieces ? or vary your pool of watches ? - be safe ~ JDS/CT
@@ziggyess I hope you do too. I got lucky , I have a few ROLEX - was able to get my wife a 31mm pink OP -. I have a request in for a blue sky dweller , it has been @ 18 mos.. good luck ZIGGY . ~ JDS/CT
I have 3 ADs i buy from and each contact me monthly about watches in... If you put in no effort and have bad communication skills, you wont get watches...

Thank you for the tips, I appreciate it. 😊

Thank you, yes price increases suck and I really hope they still continue the celebration dial until I get it. I can only hope at this time…

Do the AD's have Cartier watches in stock...or do you have to get on a list for those also?

Just buy it on the grey market the prices have dropped. Stop the stupid AD game
I probably will consider maybe wait a few more months but good advise.
