    • Mora Top Q Allround Kn...
Howdy y’all! In today’s video, I look at the Mora Companion Heavy Duty fixed blade knife in carbon steel. If you’re looking for a capable knife that won’t break the bank, you won’t be disappointed with this one. It can handle the tasks you need done from an outdoors/bushcraft knife.
My ratings for the tasks I put it through in the video:
    Batoning - 7.5
    Featherstikcing - 7
Firesteel scraping - 6 (pre spine sharpening), 6.5 (post spine sharpening)
If y’all enjoyed the video, please hit the like button and feel free to drop any questions in the comments. Head on over to my channel for more outdoor/edc videos, and hit that subscribe button while you’re there. It’s greatly appreciated! Y’all enjoy the rest of the weekend!!!

This sheath can be attached or removed from belt, pocket, shirt, button, lanyards, or backpacks very quickly and easily. This combined with the lightweight knife makes it easier to carry than many so called pocket knives. You could spend a lot of time and money looking for a more comfortable handle. Don’t know nothing about survival but this is my work carry choice hands down.

Agreed. These knives have been available in Canada forever...hardware stores, kool-aid stands, ditches. But not south of the 48th. As a Canadian, and defacto is a bushcrafter - this is a great knife. Do I own others? Of course...but to start out...i can't be beat. Mors Kochanski, the GOD of bushcraft used them...'nuff said...Cheers from B.C. (Canada)

I have one of these knives that is exactly like the one in the video. A few weeks ago I lost it and was grieving over it. It turned up (with a little rust) just the other day. I was absolutely thrilled! It cleaned up fine. One thing that I would add to this review is just how great the sheath is. I do a lot of butchering and, when I clean fish, I do a lot of that at one sitting. It is really nice to be able to put a dirty knife in the sheath without worrying about ruining either. When I'm all finished, I can wash off the knife and dry it, then I can run a bottle brush through the sheath. Not having to set the knife down is a big advantage for not losing it.

Glad you found it! I would have bought another one while I was still looking! And yes, the sheath is awesome. I should have gone a little more into it. I’ll definitely keep that in mind when I review other Moras.

Have been using them for several years. I have a ProC I carry hunting and a Basic for every day carry. More than just a great price, it’s simply a great blade. The Companion is next on my list.

It's interesting that quite a few special forces carry these knives for EOD / explosive ordnance & demolitions, because the handle does not conduct electricity. The best knife for the money after 25 years. Thanks for your video and all the best.

I like mora I have a few. But my new favorite is Hultafor OK4. I'm telling you if you get a chance get one. They are better in every way.
The only thing I can say is I need to sharpen mine a bit. But it holds it great and it has the sharp spine.

I've had a couple of these for a 3 or so of years now( orange and green) Patina'd mine too, one mustard one vinegar. It us an absolute workhorse if a knife, what it lacks in chopping weight it more than makes up for in cutting ability. I love mora's and I've got a bit of a collection now but I'm never far from one of my HD companion's. Love the video, subscribing 😊😊😊

I judt wish they came with better sheaths. I got mine for like $10 about 5 years ago. It's a great ķnife but I can't stand the sheaths they come with. They are functional and keep the knife secure. I prefer the leather sheaths but then you have the issue of slicing through it. The solution I came up with is a leather dangler sheath with a flexible plastic lining and a thong with heavy duty snap to keep the knife secure. A double thick welt all the way around to lessen the chance of the blade hitting the plastic. Also rivited to one side, an Esee medium survival pouch to hold accessories such as a ferro rod, a fatwood chunk, a small firstaid kit, DMT mini diamond stones, etc. Also, the welt is impregnated with 1.5 micron diamond spray to be used as a strop.

That sounds like a nice setup. I’ve been looking to get a basic kydex sheath for it. Cut down on its footprint somewhat.
Post a pic if you can…
