Today I recieved the Mora Companion HD in carbon. It's only about 5 dollars more than the standard companion, but thicker blade stock, & bigger handle. I like it.
Used em for yrs, NEVER had a problem. I would like to try the Mora Eldris neck knife but i find them a bit expensive for the size compared with the companion. All the best.
I have never tried these! I’ve got a Mora Classic with a laminated blade and a Mora Eldris that somebody put a wood handle on and made a leather sheath for. Someone inherited it and sold it to me for less than retail. I love that one 😌
@@WilliamsKnifeLife 3/4 is plenty. If you keep your knife sharp enough, and use it for what it's intended for, then all should be good. Thanks for the reply William. Looks like a good starter knife for my 13 year old.

Thank you Rhino. That Eldris looks like it would be a nice little knife. Usually I carry a pocket knife for small stuff.
the two shield are exactly the same and you can switch between ?
I can't find my standard Mora companion, so I can not answer that. I believe they will intermix..

I have it. I love it. Not really sharp out of the box as I wanted, not shaving sharp. But hey, that was fixed in a couple of seconds. Great knife.
Thank you Nando K. I love my Moras. They can take a beating and still come out looking good.
@@WilliamsKnifeLife for what I'm using it, it will last till I die.
At my age a lifetime guarantee doesn't mean as much as when I had more lifetime left. Now that could be something that lasts for 10 or 20 years. 😄
@@WilliamsKnifeLife yeah, same for me (68 hi). Take care.
Looks great for the money. How far does the tang go into the handle? Thanks for sharing William and have fun mate.
tang goes in 3/4 of the way. They make a full tang, but it costs around 90 dollars.
