  • Don't buy these screwdrivers. I'm not one to bang on companies for their products unless they're really horrible. And these screwdrivers I'm going to show you are truly horrible.
Hope you got something out of this and if you did, do me a favor, hit like and subscribe. I’d appreciate that a lot.
Thanks for watching and until next time Good Making!

Just don't think of them as screwdrivers. Think of them as a set of high-end mini pry bars.

I bought a set of similar screwdrivers about 40 years ago at Sears....Still using them all the time!! They are all different sizes and just very minor surface rust on them..... Must have been the good ones!!!.

I'm sure they were made in the USA or Germany ... with good steel!!

They probably got them in bulk from AliExpress for a couple of dollars total and are just reselling them with a massive markup.

Less than perfect, then. Have you seen the perfect pattern screwdrivers made by Eric from Hand Tool Rescue? Very expensive - too much for me - but apparently they’re amazing.
The vintage ones are not cheap on eBay either over here in Germany, and even though they used to be quite common, they’re not easy to find: people who are into old cars buy them up and put them in their onboard tool kits. But I have to say my favourites are old cabinet maker’s screwdrivers from England, with the bulbous handle.

Wie geht's mein freund. Und ja, sehr schön. (My German is very rusty) And like you l would enjoy a set but too rich for me. I've been on the lookout for a set of London Pattern Cabinetmaker's screwdrivers too. There is something about old tools.

😢looks like a process was omitted…….I bet if you would return them you could get your money back.

Yes sir. They are basically mini boat anchors now. And I don't think the steel is good enough quality to spend the effort to rework them.

Maybe I'll call Highland and find out....

So it seems you bought different lengths for a single certain size screw. Lol Not entirely bad since shorter handles give better control and longer handles give better reach. Hence things like stubby vs. normal length drivers. But thats only one aspect of the video.

definitely your own fault for not looking at what you're buying.

Yes, I believe I said that. It doesn't pay to get too excited when buying things.
