I remember this was the only season of Survivor I ever watched and I will NEVER forget when Colby celebrated upon losing. That genuine display of humility, gratitude and happiness for others will always leave a lasting impression on me and taught me a valuable life lesson.
@@jerrythemagicalllama The voting was tight, like 3-to-3 and 1 vote left. Colby was sure he will win. And when that vote was read, he didn't even listen what name was written on that vote, he just started to celebrate. When he realized that he just created a cringe moment for himself, he started to congratulate Tina just to make the moment appear less cringe. It has nothing to do with having a good heart or whatever, lol.
Colby was so famous and popular around this time that I think his life turned out better for losing as a hero than winning as a villain. Outside of the Survivor community, no one talks about Brian Heidik anymore, but Colby remains a legitimate celebrity.
An underrated winner. One one side, she had Colby and Keith wrapped around her finger and on the other she had Elisabeth and Rodger. She also orchestrated the eliminations of Man-eater Manthey and Amber. She also didn't receive any votes against.
If you watched the full episode, when the jury is voting, Jerri is one of the voting confessionals that they DO show. Jerri's vote was the tiebreaker/last vote. If one were paying attention during the episode, you would've known that Tina won once the 6th vote was read.
I had always paid close attention to the handwriting of the people whose votes they would show before the reveals. Jerri's stuck out so well because of how bold it was, but for some strange reason when Jeff was revealing the votes, I completely spaced out and was genuinely surprised when that last vote was shown, but instantly realized it was Jerri's and was mad at myself for not noticing that it hadn't been shown prior to that lol
Colby's temper makes me not like him he's a jerk and jerri wasn't even being a villain she just wanted sex and after 20 something days who can blame her!
Tina was the mastermind this season for sure. She drove the strategy. I probably would have voted for her if I were on the jury. Colby would have been a great winner too.
This might be my favorite final 2. They were both so kind, and I was rooting for Tina, but Colby was so kind and such a great player too. They are both fantastic and I was happy with whoever won. But I am very happy with the outcome ❤❤❤
I think Colby was so happy because even though he lost he still walked away with 100k. Either way he knew without a doubt that he was guareented to get money
Colby is a good dude. He could have voted Tina off and his chances of winning would have been almost certain. But he did the honorable thing and gave her a shot because he felt like she deserved it more. I respect that a lot.
I just remember Tina flying under the radar throughout the shows. Her personality came across coy and indifferent, while being an opportunist at the right moment.
Yeah seriously...I noticed this instantly, and my jaw just DROPPED!!! Kissing both Colby and Jeff Probst ON THE LIPS, and in front of her husband and kids on a live television audience...I couldn’t believe it!!! It’s a miracle that her marriage didn’t fall apart... But Colby and Jerri also kissing on the lips afterward?! Well, not no shocking 😉 my thought there was: “Colby you ‘PLAYER!’” 😂 And on a separate note: while it was cool to go from seeing a young Katie Collins in the Outback video to later becoming a Survivor contestant herself against her own Mom, it also rips my heart to pieces that her son, that same young boy in the same Outback video with the Nashville Predators NHL hockey jersey on, was tragically taken from her... 💔 What makes it even crazier is that another Survivor contestant also named Tina tragically lost her 16 year-old son Charlie not long before that season filmed...I drew the “same first name as ‘Tina Wesson’” tie then, and now Tina Wesson herself also lost a son! And the irony is, both of those sons were killed in car accidents. 😢 Sorry all of that was very deep. But yeah.
I believe if you really really close to somebody then you kiss them on the lips to know how much you love them but I do understand both sides of the story but let her do what she wants it her decision and she was excited that she won
Colby can only blame himself on this one. He was more worried about not giving Keith 100K than himself winning 1 Million. Maybe it makes him a better person but not a smarter player. He had an opportunity to get Jerri's vote by swallowing his pride and apologizing for lying to her. In turn it guaranteed a bitter vote from her. In turn, Tina was the winner. Either way she played the game perfectly from a social aspect and is a likeable winner. I really do think Colby was the overall the better player. But in the end, it's the effect you leave on the Jury. Alicia and Elisabeth took the girl power route, Keith was mad because Colby took Tina. And well Jerri, you can't get any more bitter than that. Either way 2 good people won money.
Retro Robbie uhm no. If you watched the show him and Tina were very very close. Colby wanted to bring Tina to the end because if he voted her out, their relationship would be broken. Friends are more important than money. What he did was right. He didn’t care that he didn’t win the one million. He was a good person and that’s way more important then winning money. End of story.
@@Cookie-ks1lq I agree he was loyal, but still robbed. But yes players do take people to the end that will beat them sometimes. Like Cody being loyal to Derek on BB16, Woo bringing Tony instead of Kass on Cagyan. Which is nice to see they didn't care about 1st place that much.

LOL. He actually did that gesture because he was expecting himself to win. So basically he embarrassed himself.
Tina ruled the social game.
