Engine Removal! Small Block Chevy 350 Pulled from a Third Gen Camaro

- In this video I remove my Small Block Chevy 350 from my 1990 Third gen Camaro. My Camaro has shorty headers that were left I also removed the engine without pulling the transmission. This car had Holley Sniper EFI as well as Holley Sniper Hyperspark that worked great up until the point that the engine began to start what I believe to be a rod knock.

In my third gen (83 Berlinetta), there’s an evaporator and a heater fan on the passenger side of the engine bay. It made getting header bolts a nightmare to get out. Did you remove those? Or did you relocate them?
I can't get to torque converter bolts because my engine is seized, should it just slide out with the torque converter?
How old is the engine and whats the story behind it, i'm just curious.thank you for your time.
Paint may be causing galternator case to not get good ground.
I think it's automatic, the only thing that came out with the engine was the fly weel, right?
I can't believe you have a Maverick (Comet) and a thirdgen, because so do I.
It's a great combo what can I say! That's awesome though Mavericks and comets are getting hard to find
How long does it take for removal?
Do you have video of unbolting transmission and what you had to do? Trying to pull the 305 from my 85 monte
I don't have any footage of that but on my Camaro it's just unbolting the torque converter and the bellhousing bolts. You might have to support the trans from tipping forward as well.
How hard would it be to pull the engine with transmission
I've done it several times with the transmission on this car and its definitely more difficult. I wouldn't recommend doing it by yourself. Also once that tail housing points down all the trans fluid will pour out so make sure to cap that or you'll have a big mess! Good luck!

Wait how do you have a carburetor on your engine I thought the computer would go all hay wire if you did that
When I did my engine swap I gutted the computer and I run just the basics. I'm running a Holley Sniper EFI now however.
You forgot to remove the windshield.
Why does the front of the car have to come off?
My engine hoist can only reach so far even extended all the way out. You could run a longer chain but it could swing out at that point.
