He loved these games and I had a hard time parting with his things knowing how much he treasured them. I really am glad Kevin got a good deal, and I’m also glad I don’t have to do all the work of selling them individually on eBay because I don’t have the time or inclination. The Zelda notebook and Pokémon tablet were birthday gifts that he never got to open because he died shortly after his birthday.
Did you know who he was when you sold them to him? And I am sorry to hear about your husband. I know how hard it is to part with things when you lose someone.

My son is a 7th grade math teacher. He collected over 30 TI 83 calculators for a dollar each. He keeps them in his classroom so his students don’t have to buy them.
That is awesome. My daughter was a 2nd grade teacher for a while. She bought sweaters and jackets at the thrift store and kept them in her classroom for students who were cold.
I was sweating profusely during that negotiation. What struck me as funny was even after you made the offer, those two guys kept lurking and touching the merchandise...I give you mass respect for your patience..and congratulations 🎊🎉
He almost missed out on the whole deal lol, lady had to twist his arm to look at the stuff. My anxiety was through the roof when she pulled out all those systems and he started walking away. But it all worked out in the end
Happens pretty often. People get jealous then quickly try to find a game that goes for a lot to see if they can get it separately. If you say no then they try to guilt trip you. “Oh come on, you have so many left” or “this is my favorite game, please?”

Ya that was super annoying that's the problem with people at sales or yard sales half the time. An he seen the prices and wasn't super interested in actually closing in on it anyways it seemed like.
My hubby and I were so anxious about those guys grabbing your merch. I am a reseller as well, and very aggressive when it comes to buying. I am nice but I do tell them, “Excuse me ☝️ I just bought that.”

Good on you for making a deal happen and I hope you were able to come out ahead given the time you have to put in to sell everything individually. When people start quoting me above ebay prices and start breaking out printed lists at garage sales, that's when I usually turn around and walk away.
Oh man, I'm so jealous! I was at a yardsale this weekend and I saw a stack of banker boxes in the back of a garage away from the tables full of baby clothes. Though the handle slot on the side I could see Super Nintendo games. The lady said they were her sons, and all 4 boxes were full of "old nintendo games", plus, she said there was a ton of stuff in the house. She didn't want to show me the boxes, and instead gave me her sons phone number to text (he wasn't home) and she took down my number. She seemed to think he wasn't attached to them and would probably sell them all. 3 text messages since then and I haven't gotten a response yet. :(

You are getting me motivated to start reselling. I did buy some things in the past to resell and most of them all sold. It works. I now just sell to declutter, but not on eBay.

I got a big haul a whole garage full of tools and power tools for just $500.00. So many tools of all makes and models dewalt, snap on, crafstman etc. Power drills, nail guns, cement mixer, generator power saws etc. With 2 items got my money back. I sold some of it on ebay, locally and sold alot of it at the fleamarket. Already made like about $2700 and I still have tools left over. Lady said all the stuff was her ex husbands that cheated on her!!
That was one of the best negotiations I have seen. She was also smart going with your offer. Its a lot work listing and moving those items. A garage sale at those prices is not going to happen.
Lady just kept bringing more stuff 😂😂 I had a sale like this. Left with $1200 in PS1, Ps2 and Gamecube games. Two sealed copies of Silent Hill 2 & 3, Parasite Eve, Metal Gear Solid and so much more.. Great finds man.

Great pick up Man... Man that's one to never forget. I had a similar sale back in may. Not as big. Lol but. I found 2 of the top ten most wanted playstation 1 black disc games found a total of 10 games. All sold for well over 1000 for 10 games. I was in shock. ( Not being a gamer). First one went for $275.00. great video awesome sale!

I retired from ebay several years ago , but at that time the fees were considered to be 15-20%. Then there are your shipping materials and your gasoline if you take stuff to the post office. Sellers aren't making as much profit as it first appears. You want to get a little something for the time you spend on the listings. (I go to yard sales for fun!)

Definitely check a lot of those higher value GBA games before you list them to make sure they are authentic. There are easy ways to check you can look online how to do so. High value GBA and DS games are very commonly reproduced, lots of fakes out there, you’ll definitely need to authenticate them for eBay. Amazing haul.

It takes time to list and ship the inventory, people who want ebay prices at garage sales are dreaming. Sure some gamers will pay that for individual games, but gamers are not likely to be going to garage sales, they are buying online. Garage sales take away from their online time. That lady made a good choice, if she calculated the amount of time for her to list everything she would be even happier with that choice. If she is not experienced in selling on ebay she should be thrilled with that choice.

Her husband was a reseller and all this stuff was older so I’m sure he checked them back them and had them listed on eBay when he passed.

It takes time to list and ship the inventory, people who want ebay prices at garage sales are dreaming.
Sure some gamers will pay that for individual games, but gamers are not likely to be going to garage sales, they are buying online. Garage sales take away from their online time.
That lady made a good choice, if she calculated the amount of time for her to list everything she would be even happier with that choice. If she is not experienced in selling on ebay she should be thrilled with that choice.
