Yes. Obviously put together by a Graf fan or someone too lazy to do the work. The WTA rankings started in 1975. As usual, someone has to cheat to put Graf ahead in the record books.
There is no WTA Ranking data from 1968-1983, so I had to start with 1984. Of course, players like M.Navratilova and Ch.Evert would have many more wins if we added statistics from the beginning of the Open Era.
@@WeLoveTennisTH-cam WTA rankings started in 1975. The data is available if you know how to find it. You shouldn't even post a list where Evert shows up at 17. Austin and Goolagong should be on that final list as well.
Since Chris obviously has the record , 90 percent overall in matches won, ignoring Evert is once again ignoring the comprehension of Everts consistancy. Day in day out No other player came as prepared as Chris Evert.
Serena has 23 slams and when you combine her singles, doubles, and mixed doubles along with Olympic achievements no one comes close in the OPEN ERA. Just the 23 slams in the open era separates her from everyone else. Serena is GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).
Nope she is not the greatest but one of the greatest. Yeah she had 23 slams which is open era but Margaret Court had 24 grand slam. If you combine all three discipline then Navratilova beat Serena by mile with 59 slams although Court had 64 slams pre open & open era combined. Graf is the dominant singles champion ever. Despite retiring at the age of 30 she beat Serena in every category like total titles, weeks #1, year end #1, quadruple career slam, golden slam, winning %, winning streak etc. So Serena is not even second best let alone the GOAT 😂😂.
Graf retired having just turned 30, while Serena played till she was almost 41 years old. Despite all of Serena's extra years of playing its inevitably Graf who still comes out on top in so many key statistics. Steffi retires at 30 with107 career titles...Serena playing all the way to 41 finishes with only 73 career titles Steffi retires at 30 with a record 377 weeks at no.1...Serena playing all the way to 41 finishes with 319 weeks at no.1 and it goes on and on...Steffi a record 8 times the year-end no.1...Serena only 5...etc etc
I wonder what the stats would say if you only measure Serena's success up to when she was 30 years old the same age steffi retired if you gonna compare apples with apples.
@@k.alvarado6237that's stupid logic. By that measures the likes the Hingis, Steffi, Seles etc wins a ton more slams & WTA titles than Serena as a teenager yet they never become part time tennis player unless they were injured.
It’s like saying - here’s a list of the best movies ever made from 1940 to today. That way 1939 is not on the list so Gonevwith the Wind. , Wizard of Oz, mr smith goes to Washington, is not on the list, ignoring Everts spot on the top.
exactly, I can understand not including matches from before 1968, but all top players from the Open Era should be on the list, including Margaret Court and BJK, and, of course, Chris Evert had WAY more than Steffi's 200, and Martina Navratilova had way more too
The overrated Serena again behind Steffi in one of the most important statistics category. Despite playing 10 years longer than Graf, she won less matches against top 10 opponent with less winning %. Beyond slam tally Serena is behind Graf or Navratilova in every important categories like total titles, weeks #1, year end #1, winning %, winning streak etc.
A fairer comparison would be to compare number of top 10 wins over best 10 year period. Navratilova 1981-91 vs. Graf 1987-97, for example. Navratilova would have the most wins.
This shows Steffis amount of dominance very well taken into account that she was quite young when she retired.
Started in 1984? That ignores 80% of Chris Evert’s career.

Quite interesting, but only from 1984. I'm sure both Evert and Navratilova would beat these numbers, which exclude at least 10 of their best years
Steffi Graf is the GOAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!😂🙃😛😐🤩🥰🤪😜😄
But it starts in 1984. If it started in say 1975, Navratilova and Evert would have way more top 10 wins than Graf 🤷♀️
If difficult to find WTA players wins vs top 10 pre 1984. It's not exist anywhere. For men's UTS site had date from open era.

Serena also was a part time tennis player half of her career. She rose to fame so quickly she didn’t need to be on tour

If Serena retired at the age of 30 then she wouldn't even be in GOAT debate lmao.
