I was actually surprised by the inclusion of TWO stormtroopers instead of just one and the mortar trooper. Hey Ryan - the reason that the stormtrooper can't fit through the doorway without bending over a bit is that in the actual show the characters have to bend over a bit to get in because the doorway is too short - don't know if this is intentional by lego, just wanted to add it! Loved the vid though man!
Star Wars/Lego are the kings of making mistakes and then covering it up by saying, "The show did it!" or "The 200 page book talking about the lore said ki-adi-mundi had a color changing lightsaber! It totally wasn't a filming mistake guys!"
That's honestly kind of realistic with troop carriers in general. Very few actual troop carriers in real life are tall enough where soldiers inside can stand upright. They don't want the carriers to be too tall because that makes them an easy target

To be honest, when it comes to amassable Imperial vehicles, I much more prefer the lack of title characters and thought we could've done without Greef even - though I get why he's in it and I don't really have a problem with it. I'd just prefer if the rebel scum kept to their rebellious little hovels, so I could get my Imperial things untarnished by Rebel presence. Jokes aside, though, this is a great set for army builders - just sell or give away your Greefs else people may start wondering what Palpatine was thinking, cloning some random outlaw- wait, they already did that once, hm...
If theres no canon/title characters, you can buy alot of those to have an entire army, stormtroopers are kind of figures that you can have alot, and theres no problem

Honestly, I wanna get this set mostly for the artillery trooper. The set and other minifigs are cool and all, but the artillery trooper is just so well done, and I'm thinking of doing some stop motion soon, so a cool new unique stormtrooper will do very fine with that.

I like the back printing on the mortar trooper because it allows you to be able to take the backpack build off if you want and still have a decent looking figure.
I definitely wanna try to get 2 or 3 of these! I love how... almost rustic it looks. Though it isn't a perfect match to the one that appears in the show, it's still very cosy looking. I hope they'll give us a proper Troop Transport version of the model too (the battle pack doesn't count). Otherwise, I think it'll be pretty easy to customize yourself too. If I get three, I might turn two of them into Troop Transports.
I did get two of them to start, and man, they look much better in person than on the box and on camera. They aren't 100% accurate, but pretty much close enough for that scale. I do prefer correct scale over accurate details when it comes down to it, and they are about the correct scale, albeit a bit shorter than appearing in the show. But height and width match pretty well - overall bulk.
I actually quite enjoy the studded look of lego sets, that's just my preference, as long as its playability and functionality are good I'm definitely okay with a less clean-looking set. Great review as always MandR :-)
I feel like they were going for an imperial troop building set with the character selection. Greef is really the odd choice in this set as they could have kept it entirely imperial troops for minifigs
Man, I understand your gripe with the figures and I do agree the other figures would have been better, especially Dune. However, I think you're being a little too tough with it. This is an Imperial vehicle. Meaning, it doesn't have to just belong to your Mandalorian collection, but could also be added to your Imperial Army (which was the actual purpose of the vehicle in universe, obviously) so I dont have an issue with the set one bit in the mini figure department.
I mean people would probably get more mad if there weren’t stormtroopers in an explicitly imperial set. I really like the figure selection (aside, of course, from the oversized helmets) and the build is shockingly efficient with space and functionality. Definitely buying this
I think the Marauder is supposed to look like a chunky armored van, and thats exactly what Lego made here. This was really the perfect vehicle for Lego to do a $40-$50 set of. looks just about right to me.

I just bought mine at Walmart and built it today, it was a fun build. I had bought one months ago but gave it to a friend for their birthday and hadn’t seen a another, so I am happy I finally found one in stores
This set would be great to customize. Get rid of the stud shooters, replace the turret room with 2 more seats, maybe rise the top a bit. I’d be perfect
I think that with the different heads they are doing for stormtroopers, that they could just include random heads for stormtroopers instead of the exact same head in every copy of a set. So every set would have a different head, you could get a rarer face print, or a more common face print. I think this would add some more randomness and difference between all the stormtroopers even in the same sets.

I totally agree that they put figures for which they would not make a dedicated set. It can be seen as a sales tactic, but if that gives us more interesting figures .. I won't complain
I actually really like this build. The grenadier I took the backpack off and use him as my personal Sig fig, and I don’t really have issues with the other stormtroopers.
Honestly don’t mind the studs on the vehicle, gives it some playability so kids can stick the figure on top and I genuinely think the vehicle straight up looks good.

I almost see this as the Imperial Troop Transport bulked up and made a full-fledged set.
This feels like a great set for building an imperial army ngl, and AMAZING for MOCs. I’m working on a mini imperial base and this would be perfect for it :D

This set is actually the favourite for me as regards the newest wave, what would have made it perfect would be an extra stormtrooper though
I totally agree that they put figures for which they would not make a dedicated set.
It can be seen as a sales tactic, but if that gives us more interesting figures .. I won't complain
I actually really like this build. The grenadier I took the backpack off and use him as my personal Sig fig, and I don’t really have issues with the other stormtroopers.
I kinda like how the new stormtrooper design is overall, especially the unique faces. To me it makes them less boring

Honestly don’t mind the studs on the vehicle, gives it some playability so kids can stick the figure on top and I genuinely think the vehicle straight up looks good.
“but… a lot of money went into this, so lego doesnt wanna ditch it” so sad yet so true
