If you could boost one car that didn't come from the factory with a turbo or supercharger what would it be and why?! Reply and let us know!
Miata, any generation should have came with a boosted option from factory
I feel the same about the S2000!
Viper 2nd gen
@@FitmentIndustries I'm going to put an RB20DET into Ford Sierra this summer 🤣🤣🤣 Sierra original hp is about 80hp. It probably will have +400hp when putting 1,4 bar (~20psi) boost too 😍 The project car can be checked in Instagram > teemu_0
I’m going to supercharge my ion 3 because it’s the naturally aspirated highest trim level and the only one above it was a Saturn ion redline which was a supercharged 2.0 lsj ecotec and mine is a 2.4 LE5 from 06 so it can handle the boost ima grab the supercharger kit from zzp

WOAH WOAH der guy. How aboot you fix your car first.
Jay'Von Ro “HEY GUYS, CHRISFIX HERE!!”
You forgot to say bud at the end ( assumimg this is a Canadian accent
how did you type with a Canadian accent
@@mrwisher1250 Eyy bud I was born in Mini-sota. Dontya know aboot how its basically like a small Caanada with all our trees n what-nots.
@@JayVon_Ro lmao imma hear that in my nightmares
I usually do air first. Than fuel. Than electronics. Blow motor. Than internals.
Then type then instead of than.
Sorry I a fob from faa east
Yea dem crank, pistons and things like that. Yo can't blow 2JZ easy tho
Internals should always be first in any serious build
Only way to do it
Just slap some V-tec stickers on the rear bumper to get the same result. Easy 100+ HP
For the best results, though you’re gonna need some experience with a hot glue gun along with the necessary safety equipment, I just glue a Shelby badge on the side.
Love you guys! 😂😂😂
@@FitmentIndustries 😂😭
@@FitmentIndustries lol..., yeep .. big toys for BIG boyz
@@Chev_chevo lmao 😐
Typical rules:
More compression--less boost
Less compression--more boost
Advanced rules:
High compression and high boost--stronger crank, con-rod, pistons and good cylinder and head
Not-so-high compression and ultra boost -- *COOLING*
You're right. Cooling is the thing that is always overlooked. I would usually increase the waterpump flow by replacing the pump, or the pulley for more rotation. Add a larger or a second radiator, and use an oil cooler that uses coolant as the cooler. A dry sump is also a good idea!

im watching this as if im even close to being able to boost my brz. hell i havent even gotten around to buying a decent set of wheels for the damn thing
lil depressed hold off for 2021 the new gr 86 is said to have a 2.4 turbo engine for the new gen
You don’t need different wheels for boost, however, according to this guy, you do need a better set of rear axles....
@@JoeIsCrazyWillman i feel like this video is pretty misleading, he’s only talking about high compression and high performance for the car when most don’t and can’t afford to make 1000+ hp drag monster but just want more fun from their car. He’s right on the part that most parts should be upgraded but most cars especially na muscle/ sport cars can handle 500 ho on almost stock internals usually just have a air and fuel upgrade but that’s really it
I did this to my 86 two years ago and paid $3900 for 150 more hp for install and tuning combined. But I also had a full catless 2.5 exhaust + oil cooler + boost guage and catch can for another $1700 with some of that being used.
There’s this channel called Nunfancy who had a boosted 350z without a tune...
I’m sure you can guess what happened.
>had a boosted 350z
>HAD
oof.
RIP 🙏
350z go boom
Right! Tunes are so underrated! they’re even good when you have a new car &/or have some bolt ons.
Damn my cousin needs to watch this, he thinks he can bolt a eBay turbo universal kit up to his charger and make like 600hp. And I've tried to explain to him that it's not that simple
Lol show him this video please! 😂
It is that simple. It can make 600hp, for about a second before it blows, but it made 600hp.
I say let him spend the time and money and figure it out for himself 🤣😂
🤣🤣🤣
Lmao I had to help attempt to install a turbo kit for someone like that I say attempt because they bought the wrong Ebay kit and me and my friend didn't want to have to cut it apart to make it fit lol,the guy got a turbo kit ment for a Honda civic for his interga so everything didn't match up he didn't have any injectors ,fuel pumps gauges or even a way to tune it lol so we said never mind
I think we all know that stickers add a lot of horsepower
Shhhhhhh, don't tell them our secrets
Cheat codes 😂
The fact that every time I get more info on turbos I notice how much more research I actually need to do on it is killing me 😂 I miss jasper btw :/
"I need NOS."
I seen you on blackpanthass vid
Wal-Mart sells them 9.99 for 8 😂
"Speed and NOS are the same thing."
My car only goes 140...
Kevin H. Nitrous has to be refilled quite often making the overall price far exceed that of a turbo or Supercharger..not to mention the actual kit itself plus supporting mods and tune..clearly you don’t race or build cars..
“Stock ones are made of F**king GLASS!” Laughed my ass off 😂😂
A cool engine is a cool car. That’s all I learned.
Biggest and most important thing before you even start the upgrades to get your car ready to boost is too know what you want to achieve, have a general idea of the power you want to make and how far you want to push your car. It's a lot easier knowing what specific mods you need when you have a clear set power goal, could even save you money potentially cause it prevents you from going out and buying stuff that either is overqualified or just not needed
Great video, currently in the process of getting my 300C (5.7 Hemi, rwd) ready for a set of twins, excellent list to start with. Going in to have the body kit molded, and have 3 inch header back exhaust fabricated within the next month. Long way to go yet, planning on installing forged internals before I even think about boost.
Keep us updated! Sounds wild. -Edgar
I've been working on turbocharging my v6 tiburon turbo kit is all custom have dc headers and custom fitted to a atp that is supposed to bolt to the stock catted manifolds but got it to sit these after market headers ,also got a megasquirt ecu to run it with a load of other things I still have to get a lot more now like lsd ,clutch ,injectors and gauges and other things but I'm getting there and like I say to everyone who ask me research is key ,this video has everything I always tell people and what people need to know when boosting a car
I have a v6 07 tib. I’m hoping to boost it by next summer. Do you know how much boost the stock internals can handle? If not, which ones should get upgraded first
i want to put bags on my car, so a “so you want bags” video would be really helpful 😭😭
I’m getting forged internals before I boost my car. Why run the risk of kaboom.
I know alot of folks with stock internals running high compression with boost. It's all about fuel and heat control to keep it from killing itself lol
Better safe than sorry
@@swizzy6010 yep that's true. If you're broke and cant afford a rebuild or new block you can get away with it but that's one reason I have mine at 8.5:1 compression. Not too sluggish when off boost
I'm running on stock internals and plan on pushing it hard because if it blows it blows I can get a engine for this thing for like 250 at the junkyard and have it in in a weekend
I have a 1.6 Miata can’t wait til the kaboom
4 inch hood exit best exhaust flow and of course the flames are cool too
Very informative.
Planning to boost the G20 down the road. Probably gonna go with swapping in a Bluebird or a W11 Avenir. I’ll have to manual swap the Avenir if I go that route though... they only came in an auto from what I have seen :( Looking at a T25 dual ball bearing turbo.
I took a 91 NA 4g63 galant and did my homework to install a stock size turbo set up from a 4g63t. She ran great for a few year and even tho she had good compression, ultimately the blow by was so extremely on a cold winter day my catch can froze and blew out every seal in the engine. She would push out 2lds of oil a week killing my alternator. The rest of the car was soo rusty that it's now time to close that chapter and move on me new 2014 ralliart.
I will say your 100% right DO YOUR HOMEWORK when it comes to mods. Only cause I did mine was I able to get 10psi on stock engine for 3yr no problems
Thank you! Real car education us what we need
Thank you!! Glad to hear you found this informational that's what we aim for! 🤘
Id turbo a $3k reg-cab 2500hd. Cheap, huge potential, already have a 4l80e, same weight as a 2010 Camaro with 2 passengers. 8k turbo kit is 950hp s475 t6, t51r’d & coated. 14k twin turbo kit is up to 1482.7hp at 28 psi stock bottom end.
Only stock bottom end i’ve ever seen as strong as that is a 12 valve cummins. You could argue LS7 but they have branded pistons rods etc.
Boosted my ej251 with 250k on it. Fmic, fuel regulator, voltage clamp, 3" downpipe 2" up, Walbro 255, stock injectors. Had a boost spike and took a 1inch chunk out of my #4 piston. Tossed a wrx 255 shortblock under my sohc heads and it's been all gravy on the stock n/a ecu still. But swapping to my standalone soon. Probably the easiest turbo conversion I've done.
Vroom vroom. Couple videos of my na+t legacy gt here. Still slow but much faster than it was na!
Always wanted to do the VRT kit for my MK3 GTI VR6 but those were frequent ramen days just keeping power NA. These days it feels better to start with a OE boosted engine. I'm running a MK6 GTI (TSI) and looking to do a K04 swap with S4 IC with new piping perhaps.
Working on building my 2.0l neon. However the tune for it might be to much and I might be selling it to get a srt4
Congrats on 200k
Lol meanwhile 850 owners get away with adding a turbo on a stock tune because Volvo. Sure you can’t run a lot of boost, but it works well and doesn’t actually run poorly at all. The NA motors have a really forgiving tune that adjusts a lot. You can usually port and change the exhaust and it will adjust accordingly. Sadly not many people try to keep them NA. Later NA engines could not take the boost without a tune as those had high compression. To the extent of my knowledge. I plan for all motor build and probably do a ecu flash tune.
Ha, you guys with your ecus, I got a blown 1972 mustang with the 351 Cleveland, all I have to do is spin 4 screws to adjust my fuel air ratio on my blower.
These sound effects crack me up every time
My 1995 mustang seems like it's gonna be a pain in the ass now to modify when I plan to do it
There is nothing difficult about modifying an sn95 mustang..they have one of the largest network for parts especially with a pushrod 5.0..it’s cake lol
sound fx on fleek 👌
I’m planning on boosting my ‘15 Focus hatch. I coulda bought an ST but I want to stand out and I like the sleeper look.
It can be done!
I know everybody loves Alex but other Alex is pretty cool too. Great vid
Any suggestions on how to get more horse power for my 2018 Toyota chr ,body kits suggestions, & best coils &tires
This is for the people who want to do it for cheap, the eBay turbos are decent... but JESUS CHRIST! Don't buy the kits with all the tubing and stuff, just get the turbo alone
That is all, thank you
just wanna know, can i bolt on a turbo and be done with it? the only experience i have on engines is v12 swapping on forza
@@munin9530 No
@@DankBoyy00 thanks
Trueish. I got my front mount piping generic kit off Ebay, had to cut a few pieces but everything fit up nice. Replaced the crappy t clamps they come with though
@@munin9530 You're welcome
I'm looking to procharging my truck (2015 ram 2500 6.4) but I don't know where to start because it's my daily but I found out with the kit I have picked out it can handle 6 pounds at most but I'm learning on what I can do to make more boost and not blow the motor.
Turbo my 05 hyundai tiburon gt 5 speed. Hard part is try to find someone to tune your standalone ecu. I notice a lot people don't do any research how to turbo their car/truck.
HELL YEA BRO I GOT A 5 SPD GT TIB TOO
If you are runing anymore then 5 lbs of boost you need to gap the rings.
if you can when running a turbo cool the oil going in the turbo and out for a reliable daily driver included a oil suction pump
for the radiator add some ducting to help with cooling and fans on the oil cooler's for the turbo
You guys have one of these videos for tuning a stock turbo car?
Common stop pickin on Dakota...we all broke something when we yanked it for the first time. I still have broken plastic parts in my garage and I don't actually know what broke when I yanked my bumper cover...
that was a nice video thank u
I am in process of boosting my First Gen tC and I do plan on Upgrading all of these. However, I have to wait on a lot og tgid stuff becaise you know...life....money...family....time. lol. Its just stupid hard to buy these thing for some people.
Smart Plugs lol got ya Gels!!
thanks, just boosted my prius
... yeah I’m not boosting my car lmaooo
This video will save a lot of motors
Step 1 cold air intake and Cat back exhaust (does alot more than u think)
Hey so uhh...how about a 2008 3.0 Ford Escape? I mean the Noble M400 uses the same engine and those come twin turboed, but I can’t find anything at all to purchase.
I want to boost my dad's fiat multipla diesel now
Isn't the Multijet diesel engine already Turbo Diesel?
Copped me 2 shirt for the my 350z my girl love the pink.
AYEEEE!!!! We see you!!!! Thank you for the support man!
Getting ready to boost my is300 👋🏽
Wait 3 inch tips or the whole pipe?
Going to be buolding a 1994 honda civic dx 1.5lb7 (non vtec) supercharging it
So basicslly add the turbo or supercharger last?
What are the gold/yellow rims in the bottom right?
What about a early 90s Buick Roadmaster or a 1997 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.7 v8?
But, if I want to boost the car I am going to buy (European Eclipse GS, so with the N/A 4G63) does that mean I have to upgrade all those things aswell when it gets boosted? I am not entirely sure if they have the same for example cooling system as the GST and GSX.
Who makes those rims? Best rim for the supra
If I up grade my fuel pump, injectors, rails, cams, calipers for braking power, exhaust & cold air intake…can I add a turbo/supercharger!?..
Do I have modify my pistons exc…..?..
Maybe you guys can make a video about what it would take to turbo and Mazda2 😂
I have a 1996 to nobody's ever touched for moding so there no aftermarket engine parts (only suspension).my buld is all custom fabricated it is a good way to learn new skills it is a twin turbo 3.5 bord 30 over and pushing 700hp and 600+ tq the best sleeper nobody even looks twice just the way I like it and when I race I never get pulled over it is always the flashy car
Wtf was that never seen a stang with a engine on the back what!!!!! That’s so cool
Process my order ☺️ thanks... I kind you guys tho for real
Thanks for the support!!! Can't wait to see your ride on our gallery sometime! www.fitmentindustries.com/add-wheel-offset
We blew a 351 Cleveland in a 68 2+2 once, it's a lot easier when you don't have a carburetor in the way
I'm going to go as far as cerakoting my combustion chambers in order to attempt to control the additional heat produced from turbo charging my 97 Honda Civic.
The biggest thing you need to do before you think about adding boost is making sure your stock internals can handle it. If you don’t have some forged parts at least crank and rods your prob not gonna have a good time.
👏👏👏 good knowledge to have for everyone! -Edgar
@@FitmentIndustries thanks homie!
I’m looking for a supercharger for my 2019 Buick Regal GS 3.6 LGX. Something easy, 8-10 lb of boost
So what I’m hearing is.... you need to replace just about everything on your car to put a turbo or supercharger in. Lol, just kidding. I thought this video was great and really made me realize how much goes in to boosting a car
I want to boost my xpander glx manual 2019.. wat should i do? Any advys?
Upgrade internals?? Never heard of it🤔
Stock internals all the way😈
Do i need a better radiator if im pushing 350 horses on a turbocharged gt86
Boosted Boiz!!!! Go Kyle!!!
Needs more boost
What about a idrive ?
How long until FI is the new CarID? Would love to buy all the other accessory shit here.
SOOOON BROTHER!! 🤞🏼
If you want a fast car that leaks oil everywhere, you might as well just get an exotic.
Bouta boost my 11 Ford Fusion sport
I love these instructional videos from u guys I’ve been trying to find things like this forever thanks firmest industries
-a long time sub
Glad to hear that you found this informational, Thank you again for the support! 🙌
are automatics worth boosting? i’m kinda new to the car scene and i’m trying my best to research so i won’t be called a ricer any tips?
Year late but I wouldn’t worry about it. Personally, manuals are more fun but just do what you want
What if I hook up an air compressor to my intake and set the regulator to 90psi and full send!!!
💥😂
Forgot to add upgrade the silicone hose to the upgraded radiator
About to boost my e46 bmw, every time I look into it something else comes up I need to think about. He’s right, research, research, research
What if I bought a boosted car and I want to install a bigger turbo kit?
Wait what are brakes for again?
Lowering the compression is way more important unless you like getting e85 all the time..
Not always true it all depends on how much boost your running and the timing also
BRZ. Only thing that car needs is like 50-75 whp and tq.
4:58 hits me hard I have a 420a 2g Eclipse 😩
Boosting 2jz-ge, is that a good idea? Got an N/A 2jz toyota mark 2 recently
If its a 2jz-ge NON VVTI. It should be able too handle 8psi no problem with a good tune.
You guys should do a "So you want to go to Automotion" 😩😩
Hmmmm interesting lol might have to take a look.
Judge me if you will but a Prius.
I know but think about it...Ls Swap some beefy tires fresh wheels , Coilovers. Make it an Ultra Sleeper. Geebus
Hate me if you will but it has been done
I know someone that just put NOS in his duster
Sadly he's very picky about people and doesn't really like me and therefore I can't ride in it😥
Exhaust header cut back free flow exhaust ecu tune suspension tyres upgraded cooling system ah what else turbo supercharger that's about it. And NOS😉
Told my boy I wanted to slide a v6 camaro without boosting it
So he gave me his old truck turbo anyways
RIP this v6 guys
🥴😂
.....so did you end up trapping the turbo onto it??? ;)
You might also need to increase your ring gap...
I have a 2000 4.2 v6 f150 and I can’t find any info on a turbo kit for it no one that I can tell has done it but I want to where do I go from here?
Possibly a subreddit? Otherwise it is a possibility that our brother company Custom Offsets might have something one their TH-cam that might help!
Fitment Industries I took a look at the other channel they cover lifted trucks I’m trying to do a lowered street truck with a turbo v6 just to confuse people who see the lightning front end and then hear a v6 then a bov
I think internals deserved it's own segment in this video lol. Anyone new to FI may not realize how limiting NA internals can be.
Turns out I needed a transmission cooler. I didn't know that and I burned my transmission fluid
