If my memory isn't failing me is it better to have the water flow over as many sides of a waterwheel as possible, as it will increase rotation speed in the process (not sure about stress), speeding stuff up.
Also, it's best to put the spawner in water, as it afaik can also spawn blazes while it's day time...

You are correct for create mod pre 0.5.1 I think. Now it's a flat rate according to the wiki.
spawners in water is a good idea! we should definately do that lol

Alex’s mod is really good. I played on my last playthrough and it was fun! I do appreciate the lack of mobs trying to kill me at all times with naturalist though lol
